Question: Zach is it possible to get this licence? Is it in dc's court like the comic mates or since it's a game different rules apply for this? For mvc3 did you get the licence from capcom or from marvel? If it's the same with the comic dc then bummer.

If by acquiring the license to this game is the only way that DST can give us DC Minimates, then I'm all for it. Even if the characters are sporting new costumes. I'll take any DC Minimates that I can get.

Yeah TRUs search engine must have some issues because I've seen this many times before so on a whim I Googled them after not seeing them on a generic search of "minimates" on their site. It definitely works to our advantage here because the TRU avengers exclusives sold through pretty quick as they were searchable. I'm glad you guys were also able to score them, it saves a ton of time tracking them down!

Thanks for the links Zylek, I was able to order one set of each two-pack. Now to get the rest from my LCS!

Seeing these just makes we want pick up as many of the released DC mates as I can. I can't believe I missed out on eight waves of DC goodness. Man I really wish DC would reconsider making Minimates of their properties again!

Other leaked lists have flown around, suggesting characters like Sakura, Karin and R.Mika but this seems to be the clocest (the previous ones could have been official then scrapped).

Wow, it looks like I got into Minimates at just the right time. Here I was planning on picking up as many of the SFII mates that I missed out on, only to read this. This is definitely great news!

As a fan of the more obscure SF characters, I'm happy to get Abel, Hugo, Juri, Ibuki and (if the leaked list is anything to go by), Elena and my main (i.e. the character I primarily use for those not familiar with the term) Dudley. Plus with rumours of Cody and Guy being in the game as well, we can get a Final Fight reunion. However I do hope they start mixing them in with the mainstream characters as the last thing I want is for the iconic ones to be in the first few waves and then it gets cancelled before I get my Dudley :S (again, if the leaked list is anything to go by). It's a shame some of my other obscure favourites - Alex, Yun, Yang and Makoto aren't scheduled to appear.

I'm also keen to see how Kuma (a bear for the non-Tekken players) is done, and Yoshimitsu's sword should be great for customisers. Plus I'd love to see the PS3 exclusives Bad Box Art Megaman, Pacman and Cole. For those not familiar with the game and/or characters, I'd suggest going here.

My hope for new DC Minimates will never die.

I'm really hoping that DC Minimates make a comeback as well. They were my first introduction to Minimates and I really wish we could get as many DC characters in Minimate form as DST has been able to make for Marvel.

Actually HasbroToyShop.com has these on pre-order for $5.99 for the singles and $11.99 for the two-packs, however you still have to factor in the shipping cost which might make the TRU price better.

BBTS has pre-orders up for the new mini 2-packs and 6 Avengers movie minis. I was really hoping the movie would return to normal size Muggs and I was hoping these were going to be cheaper than they are.

These look awesome! I was late to the party on picking up the Mighty Muggs, so I feel for you guys who started to collect these at the six inch scale only to have them re-appear in a smaller size. They are still really nice though, but your right $8.99 is a bit steep.

I think I'm in a Minimate rut. I've had this wave for awhile now and last night is the first time I actually looked at the packages and noticed there was an error on the back of this wave's packaging. I just find it sad that I'm at a point where I just take stuff out of the package and put it in storage without even looking at it much.

You'd have a lot more room for Minimates if you stopped buying so many Pop! figures. I'll tell you what, you let me have some of them (Chases preferably) and then you'll have more room for Minimates. :biggrin:

Actually, I get the same affect from my children. My four year old just broke his record a couple weeks ago by breaking one of my toys 7 seconds after I had opened the package. It takes talent to not be doing that on purpose.

Yes, I had a few displays setup with the black plate, it looked really nice. Don't have any pix to share at the moment, maybe I can get some tonight.

Any pics you could show would be appreciated. I'm thinking that these display cases along with the black lego baseplates might be the way to go for my small but growing display.

Hot Toys also announced the Batman Returns license. Anyone here excited for Penguin or Catwoman?

I definately need a Pfeiffer Catwoman. She will look great next to my Hathaway Catwoman. I mean she's has to be coming from Hot Toys as well, right?

As for Batman Returns, the only figure I would pick up is Max Shreck! We need a Walken, Hot Toys!

I too wouldn't mind a Max Shreck, although I would probably pick up a Devito Penguin before getting a Shreck.

As much as I love Arnold, I don't think I could pick up anything from either of the Schumacher Bat films as I can't even sit through them anymore when they come out on TV. I always find myself trying to re-watch them only to turn them off after just a few minutes. They're that bad!

I have (thusfar) gone villains-only, but that Keaton Batman has me tempted... But if I buy that, I know I will have to justify Reeve Superman... and then every other hero I've passed on... This is a dangerous hobby!

Hawkeye is right, the Christopher Reeve Superman is awesome! I still can't get over how much the head sculpt looks like him.
