  1. I don't know.

I've got 59 in my LoTR display.

I've got all the 3"ers in a box (until I figure out what to do)

I've got all the comic mates in another box (I'm setting them up tonight)

I've got another box with "extras" - full of minis.

And Speed Racer and Racer X.

So, that's at least 61. That's pretty good.

  2. I, er, think Nestle was kidding about BG and Power Girl...

But ANYWAY, this is very cool. VERY, cool. I for one think it'll be AWESOMENESS to re-enact the JLU "Clash" fight with Superman and Captain Marvel.

On another note: is anyone else thinking that maybe this much news, this early on, is too much of a good thing? I mean, BEFORE the internet, people just had to wait and see when their favorite products were coming out, and what exactly those products were. I don't mean to be preachy or dampening, I'm just saying I kinda miss the old days when I would walk into a Target and see new 'Mates or Legends and swear at myself 'cause I didn't bring any money. Now we know months, maybe years ahead of time what and when will be coming out, and we still speculate on the next wave. Wave 14 hasn't even come out yet. I kinda miss the spontaneous aspect, y'know?

Then you'll just have to turn off your internets and live in a cave! ;)

Besides, there are not the surprises when it comes to direct market stuff. Your comic shop gets these solicits months ahead of when the product will arrive so they can put their orders in. If you trust your LCS to order everything you might potentially want and show up every week, I think you'd get the same reaction you are going for. I have heard the point you are making many times, so you are not alone. I think the only problem that comes from "too much information" is that we can be set up for disappointment when things don't work out (LotR3 amongst many other examples).

Anyway - looks like a very neat wave. I dig the highly-thematic pairings. Ma Hunkle looks like she has the 'stumpy feet' making her shorter, but what is Mary Marvel's excuse? She looks just a wee more wee (to me).

  3. We are still finding out who the Avengers are!

    A1: Thor

    A2: Hawkeye

    * both classic Avengers, both dead *

    B1: Ronin

    B2: Dr. Strange

    * New new New Avengers *

    C1: Ms. Marvel (Warbird, whatever)

    C2: Ares

    *Mighty Avengers*

Chase: Powers-all-sucked-out-of-her-by-Rogue Ms. Marvel or Binary. Either way.

    Other norms - variants

Vision - Phasing Vision is plausible.

Wonderman - Ionic Wonderman would be along the same lines, but not as likely (or IS it?)

  4. .... I really like the choices they've made but I'm sorry theres no nameless red shirt for away team adventures fatalities. poor scotty I imagine he will be decapitated many times

Ah, but if the variant Bones figure is packed with Scotty, then there's an extra Scotty for ya. A simple head swap and you've got yourself some Gorn food! (Gorn not included)

Hey, if the Gorn were 9 feet tall, I'd be set! I can imagine the Gorn being 9 feet tall... ;)

  5. Apologies if my last post was taken with any seriousness - just a joke :P

    AoD would been groovy.

"The Bruce Campbell Collection" would be groovier:

From his Detroit Meathead days as Ash to his meteoric rise-to-the-middle in Brisco County, BC is finally captured in his big-chined coolness. The line features his main characters that have showcased his talent for one-liners and getting run over - Includes: Bruce Campbell as Ash from Evil Dead II, Bruce Campbell as Ash from Army of Darkness, Bruce Campbell as Sebastian Haff from Bubba Ho-Tep, Bruce Campbell as Autolycus from Hercules and Xena, Bruce Campbell as The Man With the Screaming Brain, Bruce Campbell as Announcer from Spider-Man, Bruce Campbell as Jack Styles from Jack of All Trades (finally out on DVD!), and Bruce Campbell as Carl Greig from the movie Icebreaker. Look for this assortment to feature the same packing style as the Battlestar Galactica Cylons, including chase versions of several characters!

Sorry, I had to do it.

And, yes, I would buy that assortment.
