I just got back into town post-hurricane last night, and mine also arrived in squashed up condition (who knows how long they were sitting there, though--damn UPS just dropping shit off in the middle of a damn hurricane recovery). It seems like they sent mine in a small padded envelope that would typically be used for sending t-shirts. However, nothing too serious for an opener like myself.

Just like in the show, you know its there you just cannot see it.

Plus I see no one has noticed my Movie cameras I have on top of the view Screen wall.

Yes. the falcon is one of the old Micromachines. I use to have the Star trek ones but could not find any.

Besides I thought it went with all the Star Wars legos I was using like the screen in front of Lt. Uhura.

Love the Lt M'Ress custom. I actually have the same thing sat on the side at home waiting to be finished. I actually used the hair from Starfire as I thought it was closer to the original. Now just got to think about Lt Arex.

The only real pain I had was cutting the hole in the skirt and then making the tail fit. I had to cut up the tab that held the tail in place.

It took me two weeks and lots of ordering on E-bay for the right blocks but here is the USS Enterprise's Bridge.

Dont they also do the Star Wars unleashed in the roughly 2 inch scale??

I'd think that DST would have more problems with the LEGO license then the Hasbro 2" license.

I think Star Wars Mini-mates would be in direct competition with that LEGO license.

on a side note: I would love a DST to get the ok for Star Wars Mini-Mates.

My family really enjoyed Spider-Man 3, but I too was miffed that they killed eddie. They could have destroyed the Venom without killing Eddie. Eddie could have had a tiny bit left or the piece that the Professor had and Venom could have made a comeback and at the same time have closure for the movie.

Just went to the comic store and they were already sold out of Harley Quin and Joker

But I did pick up the rest of them.

I bought the last Bat-Man so I thought it was a chase set that somehow everyone missed. It happened before, (remembers my Invisible Woman)

But now I see the that is not the case. I was a present surpirse to find out that Batman's mask came off. Was not expecting that by looking at the package. Much better then the way C3 did the Batman masks.

I might have thought on getting them just for cannon folder but not with my daughter (age 5) in the house. She loves Minimates and I will not expose a "toy" of that caliber to her.

This is not a bash against them or AA, just my opinion on them.

What I have seen so far of everything else looks great though.

Boy, that Captain Britain is SWEET!! I am really looking forward to those guys. I want to build an X-Factor set, being that it was the very first comic I collected back in the 80s. I think most of that team has been made already, but I would definately need to do come customizing for their costumes of the time. Cyclops in Blue/white X, Kitty in her puffy shirt. Oh, the outfits in the 80s were so grand.

And with my Nightcrawler/Colossus two-pack, I am getting so close to completing my Excalibur set.

Just have to figure out how to make a custom Pheonix II, Meggan, and Capt. Britian.

I have a 5 year old Daughter who can draw and paint way better then me.

Then again, my cat can paint way better then me.

Well I just took apart my Colossus.

I Figured out why he has a different paint job. It was actually quite silly.

His silver dots on his torso were in different places.

Well when I took off his "outfit" I quickly found out why the silver dots were in the wrong location.

AA assembled him backwards. Meaning his chest was his back and his back was his chest.

I relooked at the pictures at Minimate Central with the chest facing the right way.

And the paint job now matches perfectly with the 6-pack version. So the only difference is (just like Nightcrawler) the newer minimate body design.

I just recieved my Nightcrawler/Colossus 2-pack in the Mail. (thank you E-Bay. And yes I more then likely spent too much but don't care. $33.00)

I have 2 questions now.

1) Is this Nightcrawler the exact same paint job as the orignal?

I looked at Minimate Central and could not tell the difference between mine and the Giant X-Men 6 pack set.

Colossus does have slight paint differences.

The only real difference I can notice between the 2-pack Nightcrawler and the 6-pack is that AA used the newer Minimate design. (Hole in head, V-socket in the torso. but no hole in the feet).

2) I thought Nightcrawler/Colossus 2-pack was part of that Target exclusive that been floating around just lately.

But the box is not the hang on peg design and the back as Wave 10 and 11 on the back instead of wave 12 and 13.

So is the Nightcrawler/Colossus 2-pack part of the Target exclusive or something totally different?

BTW---Love this 2-pack. Just wish they release the rest of the 6-pack again. (unless they already did and I don't know about it)

Why do I like Minimates?

It started with My daughter and Spider-Man. She loves Spider-Man. So, while a the comic store, she wanted the Spider-Man Minimate. I bought her one. I decided what the heck, I like Rogue, So I bought her too.

And it grew and grew. Before I knew it, I was hooked. Let me rephrase that, Both my daughter and I was hooked. It really snuck up on us.

So, now why do we like Minimates.

The answer is just simple.

We just do

I was on the fence on buying any at all. But I saw them at my Comic Store and was able to buy them all execpt for Battle damage Command Centurion and Download Cylon

I do have a question about the battle damage Cylon on both sets. Neither one of mine look anything like the side picture. They do have extra shading compared to the regular ones but not the circle hole damage as shown on box.

Did they change the paint?

Yeah, they're all like that. It's a little disappointing (especially on the modern cylon) when you can easily compare them with the prototype on the box. I guess it could easily be fixed with a silver paint-pen though. I'm also thinking of giving the classic's grill a light-wash of black to make it stand-out a little better.

Thats too bad. Expecially for the Modern one. You can hardly tell it has any paint difference. At first I thought someone swapped figures.
