  1. Saw the new trailer for the Quentin Tarantino/RZA movie "The Man With The Iron Fists" starring Russell Crowe last night while watching TV with my wife. My wife and I both said: "Wow" at the same time. I followed with: "Wow, that looks great!" She said: "Wow, that looks terrible!"

  2. Stay dry and safe. I hope this one fizzles out for you.

We wouldn't mind a little rain in SoCal so send some our way. It's going to be 84o here tomorrow. We have four season's: earthquake, fire, flood, and drought. It's currently fire season.

  3. @MisterPL - Not sure how the whole DC Direct/DST licensing works as I dont think we ever got a definitive answer that licensing and price killed DC Direct line. I think that has just been the dominant speculation because they retailed at a higher price. I mean, Icon Heroes is making it work with Thundercats. But your overall, point is yes demand from TRU would be the best chance to spur a DC Minimates return. My fear is that TRU is a bit harder to message but i could be wrong. I also think DC Collectibles is more closely aligned with WBCP but I could be wrong.

@Kostis - Good luck! I'll do my part.

@Ivan - I don't think anyone wants to become Lee Burns. We ALL must become one giant Lee Burns! Like Voltron, we will form together, one annoying fan at a time. A leg, a hand, a wrist, a belly (Lee Burns has a fat belly in my imagination). I call Lee Burns pencil mustache.

Who's with us? It's time to get our collective Lee Burns on! Tell DC Collectibles to make DC Minimates happen.

Edit: They are asking for it and will pick "most popular" question.

You ask, we answer. That’s the heart of Ask DC Collectibles, the last of our new ongoing features highlighting the great products available through DC Collectibles. Every month on the DC Collectibles Facebook page, we’ll be giving you an opportunity to ask us questions about our statues, action figures, busts and prints. We’ll pick five of the more popular questions and answer them right here on DCComics.com. Below, we sound off on our 3 ¾ line, Arkham City and more.

  4. Wish I'd thought to look at the side of the box but I don't think TRU cases are numbered. I caught a set still in box before they made it to the shelves and the case pack out was 2 Shane, 2 Glen, 4 roamer and 4 Rick. Call your TRU for item number 823584 and if they have 12 they haven't sold any yet.

  5. I have a different perspective on scalpers. I think they artificially inflate demand, which can be a good thing for Minimates. Scalpers see "OMG, I can buy some Walking Dead Minimates and flip them for 10X what I paid for them at retail". They end up over purchasing. This strengthens the initial sell-through and the retailer says, "Wow! These are selling like hotcakes. Time to double our order!" Encouraged by the strength of the line, DST expands production. Since there are only so many humans to make, DST retreads previous exclusives like Shane and Glen in different outfits/appearances. The original Shane and Glen packs plummet in price as scalpers chase the market down and the majority of buyers are simply content with the new "angry" Shane and "in-love" Glen at retail price.

Deadpool is a prime example. For collectors, I'd be patient. The price will likely settle down to around $14/pack in six months perhaps as soon as next month as these flood eBay.

  6. I seem to remember Sunfire being a Japanese chauvinist so his Rising Sun costume seems to fit character-wise. I would think the Chinese Minimate fans (are there many?) would have the most objection as would maybe Australia, Taiwan, and the Philippines cultures. But given China's ascent and recent territorial assertiveness, I think more are worried about a rising Red Dragon than a Rising Sun from 70 years ago.
