  1. As a fellow photographer, I can back you up on that, it always takes multiple pics to achieve your vision, but anybody can see that you've put a lot of work into your site. With a little polish here and there, I'm sure you can turn it into a sophisticated Minimates database equal to none. :)

Do you have a list of pics you require somewhere? Because with all the people around here with extensive MIB collections and digital cameras (myself included), I'm sure you could have your gaps filled in pretty fast.

That last part sounded sort of weird...

  2. Very nice find. I just got back from the States with two new MIB Javelins among my finds, and you're right, you can still find them a heck of a lot cheaper in some stores, then what they can insanely go for on eBay. I paid $24.00 USD each for my two, though, so you way out-did me in the bargins department, Chupathingy, well done.

But I scored a Black Spidey Chase for ten cents at a yard sale, so I don't feel so bad. :D

  3. Just saw it yesterday and it exceeded my expectations greatly. Way better then the first (and I didn't mind the first, recognizing it for what it was, a definite popcorn flick). I agree with Wallbreaker, it was way better then Spider-Man 3, with SS having a fully-realized backstory, unlike Venom, and fun moments throughout, plus a nicely executed SS. I especially liked Norin's later scenes, and the globe-spanning climax was kick-ass. A definite future edition to my dvd collection. :)

  4. Are Zombies a wave, though? Aren't they a box-set plus one two-pack? I suppose this is the difference between a Series and a Wave, right? Myself, though, I always considered the Giant X-Men box to kind of a wave, at least early on. It has six connected figures that came out all at once. No varient, sure, but then questing for the hard to find box (for myself at least) seemed sort of to make them all chase....

  5. Nice display case, very proffesional. I'd love to have my entire collection all on one amazing enclosed bookcase like that, but due to all the other toys I collect half of my 'Mates spend time in storage, while the rest is spread through three rooms of my house.

I really like how you've arranged the C3, I might try that with my batwings, standing them on end. Very smart!

  6. I'd really love some Red Dwarf Minimates, the potential for that could be endless, as they changed the look of the show, complete with all the costumes, nearly every series, and there was eight of them. There could be all kinds of two packs, like Series I Lister/ Rimmer and Cat/Captain Hollister, Series VIII Kryton/Kochanski, and you could have a Chase Ace Rimmer! Accesories could go on and on, with the Talkie toaster and an army of Skutters, plus of course, a tiny Mister Flibble pupper. Don't know how they could do Holly, perhaps a disembodied Mate head in a custom mobile monitor.

I bet I sound like a right madman to anybody who has never seen the show....

  7. Yeah, it just won't be a full and proper Marvel Minimates collection for me until Thor and the Scarlet Witch are part of it. Of course, then I'll be needing a Vision, and you can't have a Vision without having a Chase Vision that's transparant.

Also, I want a Scarlet Spider.

Hmmm, okay, what was the topic again?

  8. As future waves go, yeah, this is DEFINITELY the one I want the most. The 'Mates look amazing, and because I'm also a big Avengers fan, this might be the first wave in a long while that has the chance of stealing the top spot from the FF series, at least for me.

But I just can't get enough of that transparant Sue. :emmafrostdiamondform:

  9. I knew Wave 2 would feature for many, as I teetered on it for a bit while thinking about this. A perfect Spidey mate on the first go, plus the black chase. But I guess I'm just too big of an FF fan, and the Invisible Girl chase pushed me over the edge. :)

Still think Stealth Iron Man is pretty damn cool, though....

  10. Mine would have to be Wave 8, and not just because I'm a big FF fan going way back before the movie (soon to be movies, heh). I just love the look and quality of these figures, from the Torch's perfectly recreated enflamed look (complete with blast-off base), to the regal and confident appearance of Mr. Fantastic, and of course the best part, I think, is the two Sue's, one that I think completely captures the demure 60's blonde bombshell look, and the other a fantastic (pun intended) portrayal of her main super-power. Plus she's transparant, and transparant figures are awesome! Add in two new versions of the Thing, plus an alternate Wolverine, and this set is clearly my favorite....

    So, what's yours?
