Zach, I know you can't comment on any licenses that might be in the works, but just speaking in terms of your personal feelings, what books and characters would you like to see get made if this line continues?

Personally, I would love to see a lot of the founding Image characters, especially since no one is using them for any active toy lines that I'm aware of, and also I think it would be cool to see a lot of the older pulp-style characters.

Like Hellboy, but I'd like to see his world get their own line of 'mates.

Nothing was ever proven, the case was thrown out of court. But they are on the Previews list for next week.

I'm curious, how exactly do licenses work for 'mates? I've seen some companies where they can license out individual characters from a movie, but it seems like DST typically pursues licenses where they can get several releases out of them. For example, there are so many characters in the Funko Horror and Sci-Fi Mystery Minis that I would love to see as 'mates but I can see that it would be tough to get a wave out of the license. What would be the best way to get 'mates of horror/iconic film characters that don't necessarily have the potential to fill a wave of 'mates?

Those, and Sleepy Hollow, Sweeney Todd, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Alice in Wonderland, Planet of the Apes...some of those might not be beloved, but they'd make cool 'mates.

Much like Kevin Smith, you might not like his work but he definitely has a following.

Zach, if these are sufficiently successful, would any other Tim Burton works be considered?

Ha, so it basically is "Indie Spotlight" for Minimates.

I prefer to think of it as "Legenday Comic Heroes" from Toybiz for 'mates. "Indie Spotlight" has more baggage than all of my ex-girlfriends combined.

I saw photos of the elves on display at a convention, but no packaged images or anything.

You'll get a wave of Minimates for Dr. Strange, it'll just be the movie versions.

It's funny, for as middle of the road as I am on the show, I cannot wait to get the 'mates we've seen plus many more, I hope the line does very well.

What is the assortment for the TRU packs? I know the elves are exclusive, are they packed together or seperate?

Jack/Mayor, Sally/Finkle, Elf/Elf. Even packed.

Apologies for my prior post, it was late, I was tired. I do try to answer every question about every active license, whether I can pretend to know the answer or not. I still try to stay out of wish lists.

By first look, I meant we'd sell it there first, then everywhere else later. I meant to say "premiere," but I'm forgetting the actual term we use. It's an existing license we've released Minimates for.

There are so many Indy comics I would love to see characters from, 90's Image alone could be a series by itself...

So unless people are willing to praise the show they shouldn't watch it all? What if you're watching it because you want to like it, and it's letting you down?
