  1. For all you haters out there, I got a Diamond Retailer Summit Minimate yesterday!

Are you sure it was for the giveaway, not something else? B):D

Oh the second package from DST(which I got yesterday) was definitely for the target give away. The first package I got from DST about a week ago, definitely NOT from the target giveaway. :D I love it when I'm vindicated.

and what was the first package??? was it a freebie or a prize of some sort...you keep mentioning it so you better pony up what was in it!

    Jeff of the Minis

I think it was a settlement from a previous customer service complaint.

  3. Scored the whole second Hasbro wave today..... Why are they not paying attention to detail!? The other figures always had a wash to them paint on the arms and legs, so.... I dunno. I just feel like the older ML had more detail and has better and overall MORE paint application. I'm looking at my ML beast figure from series 4 and the Astonishing X-Men Wolverine and the Wal-Mart Captain Britain figures and they all had highlights and lowlights. The captain B's red area had spots of dark red like shading and Wolvie's body was cast in yellow then had orange airbrushed on to his stomach for shading and just all around looks. If Hasbro made the beast figure it would look silly cause it was be just solid blue plastic whereas ToyBiz washed darker blue into the fur and gave it detail(I know the X3 beast is done that way with a wash, or paint but it was an example).

I would've at least expected them to put a wash over the chainmail type mesh on Thor's Torso. Instead it's just a rich blue.

Don't get me wrong I like the Hasbro stuff, I just think I might start applying paint to them to bring them up to the toybiz standard. With all of them side by side, ToyBiz AND Hasbro, it's obvious there was a change, like a different manufacturer cause the style/paint differs so much. If I wasn't addicted, I'd probably reconsider buying them all especially at $9.99 a pop.

OH! and another thing, they only packed one set in the case the store got. It was just the 8 figures.....sucks! Anyone else feeling disappointed.

  4. Now that I think of it, it could be DST giving out free gifts to Radical members. I don't know, but the likeliest suspect is the Target promotion. I thought it was odd that I reported first in California before anyone else closer to the East Coast did. Anyway, I'm thankful to get anything free at all. :)

Also, I have no clue what the "Approp. No.: " is. I just got a white bubbled envelope with the minimate inside.

EDIT: Just to make it more clearer. I don't see an "Approp. No.: " thing anywhere.

Okay cool. Thanks, Storm. Mine came via ups so I think it's something different all together. Thanks again!

  5. Hey I got something too but I'm not sure if it's for this....What was the reference on the bottom of the label here it says "Approp. No.: "

I'm just wondering how you're supposed to know its from the target thing....

Is it a free minimate you got in the mail? then I would hazzard a guess it is the target thing

True, it is a free minimate bu I think this is something else... Anyone, the "Approp. No." thing? anything, anyone???

nope it is the target thingl. I mean I know you WANT it to be something else, so there is still a chance you might get the silver spidey. but come on. Free Minimate in the mail. Obviously target thing.

OMG, you're so persistent!! TRUST me it actually might not be the minimate mail-away from target. Sheesh! And no it's not turning in to the defenders illuminati thing, just trust that maybe I know someone who knows someone or maybe it's a customer service thing or hell maybe radicals is sending out stuff again! You never know. So let's just wait to see if there's a way to tell.

I've been a Radical for 3yrs ish... and have never recieved a darn thing from them... except love and happyness in the form of the Radicals newsletter. :P

    T.

This is for JL and TBT. I've been a radical too for about 3yrs ish and I've received I think two different Buffy Action figures and I think a minimate or two....

The box I got came from Diamond Distributors in Maryland.

  7. So this figure is something I've been thinking of today. What ever happened to the Dave's School batman?? I know the 2003 blanks are pretty rare, I know the TF starbuck was mass produced, but what about Dave's School batman. I don't remember the last time he was mentioned, but with all the newer board members I wonder if any of them are aware!

    linke here http://www.minimatescentral.com/NTBatman.htm

Anyway, I think it was a cool limited edition figure even though it was just a reissue but I have one, in the baggie, yay.

  8. Dude! Congratulations. I had no idea you where that close to complete. Methinks you've been doing some black market dealing, eh? :) So, where to now, my completist friend?

Well, I don't know. I guess now I'll be buying multiples of everything that comes out. To tell you the truth finding and buying that last piece wasn't as hard as it looks! So now to wait for DC minimates...... Maybe I'll take a nap....or go to disneyland. one of the two...

  9. Just wanted to lety those of you witnessing the eBay bidding wars, that I finally received my batcopter. I wont even tell you guys what I paid for them, you'd probably try to kill me! So in short:

Muahahahahaha, My 2" collection is in fact complete. I own every minimate ever to be mass produced AND the exclusives and limited special mates etc.

I can die a happy man now.

  10. I'd better not start seeing chase figures in the DC line.

I don't think you will. As DST IS the manufacturer now, DC Direct still place's the order... AA was making them for DC Direct, now DST is making them for DC direct so nothing really changes I'd believe. DC still has creative control of the product.

Anyway, Yeah glad this is out in the open now and this definitely isn't the end for the growth of DST as I see it.

They just moved to somewhere in NY, hope they're not moving again! LOL. They probably made that move knowing of things to come.

  11. Ok, check this out. The regular Marvel Minimates DPCI # is 087-06-1165. The other day I was messing with the scanner at a local store and just out of curiousity I typed in 087-06-1164, it showed up as Licensed Minimates- $5.99.............. WHOOP! Not sure if that's it but at least it's something to go by.

    blue

I wonder if that's it or the previous set. I would think it'd be 087-06-1166!

    Did ya try that?

  12. I'm gonna post this here(mods feel free to delete my other thread) It's the ACTUAL COSTUME being WORN! and there's a video!!!! :)

    From a few days ago....

Okay. This just got me SO stoked for the movie. The suit is so flexible he can lie on the floor get on all fours, do crunches and sit ups in it. Pretty friggin sweet!!

Watch the video, check out the pics, just don't read the text as there might be spoilers. enjoy the eye candy!
