I think we should just be glad that any more BSG mates got made at all. When they cancelled the Caprica set and the final two waves, i thought that was it.

I got myself the Pescadero escape Arnie on sunday, it's a great lookin figure. Much better than the old macfarlane "statue" i used to have. Anyone know when the 12" version is due out?

I did it! I gave in! and i'm blaming you (points finger at karamazov80 and shanester) I bought Billy and Predator to go with Dutch and my expanding Hot Toys Collection.

I now have all the Dark Knight stuff with a couple of kitbashes, Hellboy and Abe and the Predator 1 figs.

Now, a week later, the store that I didn't get the BSG mates from still has the entire case hanging on a single peg, about as high up as you can get up the merchandise display, above the other figures.

Maybe the people who want them can't reach them? I find it hard to believe that I'm the ONLY person in the area that collects these.

My problem isn't about whether or not to get Pred, I am. My problem is that if I get Pred, I feel like I should get Dutch, too. That's 300 big ones that I surely don't need to be spending.

I'm the other way round, I have Dutch (and would highly recommend the excellent fig) and now i'm struggling to not splash out on the Pred.

Its not bitterness for me. The problem for me with DCD is their consistent inconsistency. I used to collect their stuff b4 the minimates. Their quality control and customer are infamous, the 1st waves of their Kingdom Come and Crisis figures were so bad they had to issue an apology/replacement wave (eventually). The scales of their figures vary wildly, sometimes on figs in the same wave. and then they have the tendency to leave lines incomplete, even the successful ones. So i just decided that i personally wouldn't buy their product anymore.

..and imo Blammoids may actually be worse than pocket heroes

They certainly are ugly pieces of crap aren't they; but i think we should know by now that DCD don't really care what we want.

Unfortuntely, i doubt they're gonna announce anything now.

Just ironic, that this is the first time Trek has been "alive" since DST took direct control of the licence and they don't seem to be taking advantage of the extra publicity.

If only they'd gotten the rights to the movie, have to say I find some amusement ( schadenfreude?) that DST struggle to make Trek stuff viable for years and the one thing that might give it public credibility is the one thing they are not onboard with!

On a non-minimate note: the next wave of 7" ST figures from DST are supposed to include the Salt Vampire - I can't wait

Knowing DST's track record with their Trek line, you'll have to wait and wait and wait for them

The scalpers on ebay do seem to have a chokehold on us all at the moment.

I keep watching auctions for this mate sail over my price limit . I will get it someday
