I finally found them< after checking 4 different TRU.

My micro review

the cars: eh cute...but not a selling point. My 4 year old nephew will like them

the mates: mine were fine with paint application. I like them. It is good to see them next to the other minimates in my collection. The only change i made was i replaced speeds feet with some black feet. I think it looks better.

Overall not disappointed with them. I will definitely buy more if they ever make them.

Now bring on the DC mates

considering we have seen ZERO packaging, hell even packaging concepts.

I honestly dont think we will see these, at all. I am not sure what the production problems are, but I dont see these getting made.

I dont think we will see marvel 12 and 13 either. Too much time has passed.

You know it is so bad, that the marvel 12 and 13 series...i was originally really bummed about em. Now i am chomping at the bit for them.

So until then I NEED Speed and Racer X to fill that void...good gravy I need new minimates!!!!

I got mine last month...well 2 or 3 weeks ago. I passed on the stealth venom, but love shocker and mad jack.

So take solice in knowing they are out there.

Well I can't form an opinion on these, since I can not find them in my area, yet. But based on the reviews thus far, I am not going to be shocked if these are less than stellar. The thing that is really blowing my mind, is the negative reviews from the guys i consider the "leaders" here on the board. These must really suck, if the guys who always have good thoughts are this negative. It really makes me sad to say it, but I fear my favorite toys are going extinct...and there doesn't seem to be anything i can do to help it. drag.

As much as I hate to say it, I think we may love a dying toy line here. It is obvious they can not get the mass retail support , and are unwilling to call these a specialty item. I don't want to piss on the flower garden. but it seems like every day we are handed more bad news about this line.

I don't really think that darkstalkers is the nail in the coffin on this line, I think it was availablity.

I know we all bought what we could find.

Hmmm, for some reason Im half expecting a Movie X-Men Team box set to suddenly appear from nowhere.

I'm feeling grumpy and pessimistic this morning. Too much has been announced without ever coming to life. Wasn't Batman Begins a possibility at one point? I think X-Men 3 is this year's Batman Begins.

(Ok, the comments on the SF2 wave 2 really bummed me out. Especially since I paid for a case of them in pre-order back in March.)

Not again! I sooo wanted wave 2. I am so f'ning sick of minimates getting pushed back or cancelled...then the news about sculpted heads on the cereal mates. The DC mates getting resolicited... I just can't even see a light at the end of the tunnel. This news sucks ASS, but it is about what i expect anymore.

I wonder if its just a case of biting off too many licenses and not having the capacity to get them done.

Everything seems to be slipping quite a bit at present.
