  1. I'm wondering how other customizers going about making their own scratch built custom parts. I use foil wrapped around whatever body part I'm making something for and I put the sculpey onto that. Unfortunately the foil moves around 75% and is unusable while most of the other time the piece bends while baking it so the foil doesn't support it, so I'm looking for a better way.

  2. Two new ones.

Spin of the Incredible Crash Dummies:

And Brocken JR from Kinnikuman, I'm sure some of you know Kinnikuman as M.U.S.C.L.E those little pink guys from the 80's and if you do you most likely don't know Brocken as he was dropped from the American line.

I had more shots of him but they turned out blurry so this is all for him now.

  3. I just read issue 1 last night and it was a fun ride. If I didn't start reading the series yet, I wouldn't have been too excited for these figures. My only gripe is that Luke Cage is blocking Spider-Man's broken leg. Well, I don't know if the figure has a broken leg but I would like to see how AA attempted to pull it off, if they did. Where do I sign up? Let's hope for some Arthur Suydam covers for the display boxes!

Same, the only good thing I can see in these is maybe a normal new Wolverine using a chest piece like that.

  4. Thanks. The first set of dummies had Vince and Larry the two from the PSAs as the leads, the thing is Tyco never got the license to make figures of them.

In an attempt to avoid a lawsuit Tyco quickly renamed the line from Vince and Larry the Crash Dummies too The Incredible Crash Dummies they quickly recolored the gray Vince into the white Slick and the light blue Larry into the dark purple Spin.

Later the four dummies got "Pro-Tech" suits plus four new dummies and the evil Junkbots, this is the time when the games, show, and comics came out so that set was my favorite. Yes I'm a hopeless loser that memorizes this stuff.

  5. Well I did a custom that required no sculpting and I had a bunch of black bodies thanks to cheap Dark Tide packs at Target. I doubt any of you remember the Incredible Crash Dummies but they were my favorite toy line when I was little. So here's Slick the main Dummy.

  6. Hey all. I had at last come across the paints I needed while on a trip, I lost them when I came home. So I had to order more Model Master paints on the internet. The green that arrived was to pale for Luigi so I stripped it off the arms that I had painted it on and I then repainted them yellow without thinking, thus Wario became my new project. All of his limbs are painted and his hands and feet (his feet nearly melted). So all that needs done is his labels slapped on and his hat and fat suit sculpted. Also Mario at last has his own arms.

Anyhow here’s my new label sheet for my main three Minimate projects.

  7. Why do I love minimates? Well that’s a hard one. I actually don’t care about or even really dislike some of the properties yet I still want the minimates from that line. It may be because I love the size and the points of articulations shoved into that size, or maybe because nearly anything works as a minimate, or is the frustration you feel when you lose a foot or a weapon- no it definitely isn’t that one, maybe it’s the fact this is the only line where you can take a Cyclops figure out of the box bust out the paints and have made a C-3PO by the end of the day, or maybe just maybe it’s because you can make some stupid as heck looking guys in a matter of minutes. Well I don’t know which one it is or all of them, I can’t say there’s just something about them.

Update to Mario, he now has the right hands and feet but still has DD arms, also his torso decal is crocked and needs to be fixed. I haven’t started Luigi yet as my hobby shop doesn’t have flat green paint so I’ll need to order it, thus stopping Brocken JR. also and he doesn’t have purple so no Wario yet, I have made two new hairpieces one just so random thing the other one of the hosts on one of my favorite TV shows. Also I've made a ton of control art for like the past year and I have like 10% here.

  9. Nice work! Any plans for other Nintendo characters?

Well I plan on more Mario characters, the N Team, Link, Mike Jones from Star Tropics, some Punch-Out boxers, Samus, the heroes of EarthBound and EarthBound 0, and several others. I also hope to make customs from other classic games such as some of the Sonic cast, Simon Belmont (the cool one on the Castlevania 2 box art not the red haired new one), and others. I'm not to good nor do I have many parts so all of these are further down the road.

  10. The face, torso, and M are decals I made in paint as I have rather unsteady hands. And the nose had to be done as I had made a design without it and it looked odd so it's necessary for some such as the Mario Brothers, Wario, Waluigi, and Kinnikuman (threw you there didn't I).
