  1. This crap sucks. I've seen it With legends, and superherosuad too.
  2. Me too. This wave is close to perfect, but the only things I would change are a) remove those lines on the female faces. minimate females look better without them more accessories like a boulder for rogue, a whip for helllfire club gals, psychic blast for 90's Jean, beaker for Beast c) maybe switch out Selene for Jean as the variant instead and Selene as the normal release Either way looking forward to this wave. I wonder if the blue on 90's Jean will be pearlescent/metallic? That would send it through the roof. Even the recent MU figure has a metallic sheen to her.
  3. It'll probably be a mixed wave since we just got to solid waves. Banshee Sunfire Crystal and Human Torch Battle Armor Thor and Enchantress Variant: Beta Ray Bill Something for everyone, the x-fans, the ff fans, the avengers fans
  4. These look amazing. I wish they'd tell us all the accessories that came with them though. And since they already have packaged pics up, I'm hoping these will hit i time for X-Mas.
  5. Thanks for all the pics. The waves look pretty solid. Storm, BP, Scorpion all look really good. The Spidergirl is sort of amusing. Though Ultimate Spider-woman is sort of plain.
  6. Blasphemer! However, I just noticed the minimate Jean Grey doesn't have the blue stripes on her legs. Which, oddly enough, is possibly my most favourite part of that costume. Oh, well, nothing a simple dash of paint couldn't fix. Are those pouches on the side of her legs? My memory could be foggy, was this a common part of this specific costume? Idk how many subtle variations it's had... The blue stripes on the kubrick are supposed to be the same as the 'pouches' you see on the side of the minimate. The minimate has it more accurate in respect to the number and length. There's supposed to be 4 of varying length, not 2. They've been colored from the same color as her costume, to gold, to yellow, to blue. Also is that a new hairpiece on Jean? It's OK ,nobody here is going to judge you because of what you once were LOL. this made me spit out my coffee
  7. While I agree that minimates as a brand aren't as big as Lego, but I think the Marvel brand name alone could sell good numbers of the game. To clarify I was thinking of a Marvel minimate game...not just a generic minimate game.
  8. Not sure where to put this, but has there ever been talk of a minimate game similar to the Lego games? Imagine playing as your favorite minimates and using their powers to solve, destroy and rearrange various lego blocks and lego like environments. And battle your favorite baddies. Wolverine minimate battling through a horde of hellfire club goons? Jean minimate lifting and throwing a sentinel? Spider-Man minimate swinging on lego blocks? Thor throwing his minimate hammer at loki? how cool would this be?
  9. They're not jazz hands. They're phoenix pimp slap hands. lol I was looking back and wondered what was bothering me about 90's Jean. It's a great minimate, but she looks a little top heavy because of where her belt is and how it extends across the entire figure. Wouldn't it look better if there was a belt piece that went over the t top of the t-crotch piece like the new x-men belt piece or cyclops belt piece instead? Anyone see what I mean?
  10. C'mon AFX, I've had the money pushed aside for these sets for 2 months now. Hurry before I spend it on something else. lol
  11. Matt, there's no such thing as too many Jean's. You can never have enough Jeans. Never. The naysayers are just jealous. I will take them all. Even while "gone" currently she's still one of the top ladies of the Marvel Universe. Do I smell a Here Comes Tomorrow Jean translucent powered up and variant powered down version in the future? Oh and a white phoenix with gold metallic parts? All with phoenix bases of course. drool. Jean love
  12. Woohooooooo!!!! 90's Jean, I feel so nostalgic. Of course I want it. Though the red on her belt looks muted, looks almost pink. I still remember that first issue of X-Men and the cartoon and I love this wave. No accessories for this wave?
  13. I'd like to "pump out some product with her." Did you see the Sideshow statue? You guys thought the minimate was racy. Pics courtesy of Jedidon: Me. Nessex. Twisted and numerous others. For appearing only a couple issues she has quite a following. She was made as a bust by DST, a statue by Bowen, SS statue, and a Toys R Us Exclusive Marvel Legend. There is definite demand out there for her in this costume or else all the various companies wouldn't continue to pump out product with her. I'm not bashing the choice or the character, I don't even really care about JL Jean, I'm happy with the Phoenix we got in the Secret Invasion set, but I saw people talking about JL Jean before this wave was even revealed, and now that it appears she won't be included, people are disappointed. I'm simply saying she seemed like a better choice, popular with collectors and more recognizable to casual people. I like BQ Jean, although I like Selene more to be honest. I'm glad we're getting BQ Jean so we can get Selene, I just think there was more support for JL Jean. I understand, and there probably is more support of JL Jean since that costume is more known. Which is why it was such a surprise to not see her as the common to Black Queen's variant. Either way I'm getting at least one awesome Jean minimate from this wave so I'm a happy camper. I also love the updated Rogue, Cyclops and Beast!!! And I'm sure JL Jean will show up sooner or later.

  15. So with the inclusion of Selene this is just an X-Men wave, not necessarily a cartoon or Jim Lee wave. Selene was never drawn by Jim Lee except for like one panel, and she was never on the cartoon. That means the last slot could be any x-character.
  16. omg if we don't get a Jim Lee Jean in this of all waves Im going to be driven insane!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think Selene should be the main release and Jean BQ should be the variant. Selene has been in more issues as the Black Queen than Jean as the Black Queen.
  17. Super Mario Bros wave Mario and Bowser (I could see him done like Slimer or washington square ghost) Luigi and Yoshi Peach and Toad Variant of Mario: Wario Acessories: fireball green and red shells goomba Legend of Zelda wave: Link and Zelda Ganon and Sheik Generic Zora and Generic Goron (army builders) Variant: Dark Link Acessories: bow and arrow clear bottle master sword Hyrule Shield I think these would be awesome waves. Who's with me? EDIT: doh just saw the thread below. can a mod move this?
  18. Hell ya. As a big fan of the game I would buy all those. w
  19. For those that can't access facebook: She's missing a whip and a phoenix base, please include them DST. And why Jean Black Queen is just so crazy bad ass, I love her:
  20. Yep. which means we won't get Jim Lee Jean at all or she'll be the variant. hmmmm.....
  21. That's what everyone thought until they said that Jean Black Queen wasn't the variant. Which is kind of weird because of the two versions, Black Queen should be the variant and Jim Lee Jean be the common. It may mean we won't get Jim Lee Jean at all, but Omega Red or Mr. Sinister as the final piece. The Black Queen's variant could be an updated White Queen or Tessa/Sage or even Selene.
  22. what the heck? I was sure Black Queen would be the variant for 90s Jean.
  23. I doubt it'd be too racy for TRU. They were the ones that carried the Black Queen as an exclusive Marvel Legends figure. For accessories, chances she'll come with a whip and/or a phoenix base?
  24. Wohooo...Black Queen!!! She looks great for the most part though what's up with some of those lines and dots on her face? Same with Rogue. I think the female faces work best without these extra lines and dots. I'm loving the new hair piece and the details, though her cape is missing the red rose. One last thing anyone else think the colors are sort of muted or off? I mean for example, the Hellfire Guard looks slightly too dark, Rogue and Jean's eyes are this dark muddy green instead of a nice bright green. Last two are Jim Lee Jean and Mr. Sinister.
