  1. I agree totally. I've always loved the slip-cover masks and it makes you wonder what mask they are going to give Deadpool considering he has the hole in his head. I suppose they will make him like a Russian doll... mask after mask after mask.
  2. Fair enough, I suppose mine was a fairly catty response. I would be surprised if we made it through SDCC without at least one pack that touched on Siege. I don't know what it would be really seeing as most of the characters have already been released, and released quite well. 90's kid isn't 90's enough... no snap bracelet.
  3. The wave 28 Deadpool sells for a lot because it is really cool looking. This new Deadpool... ehhhh not so much.
  4. Thanks for the info NR. Taking this into consideration I think it's safe to say that we will get one or two more options this summer, which is good. Taking a closer look I would guess that Deadpool comes with a slip on mask to go over his ... head/mask as there is a hole in the top of that one. I think I am most disappointed in the fact that they released another 90's Cable as I was really hoping they would do a modern version of the character. I suppose it isn't totally out of the question still, but it's probably less likely to happen as a result.
  5. Can someone quickly remind me how many sets came out for SDCC last year? Was it the two Dark Avengers sets?
  6. Woo boy I do not like that Deadpool. edit: To elaborate I suppose I think those pistol holsters should be used on Minimates sparingly. While they are as small as they can be while still being usable, they just look kind of out of place. Also those gloves coupled with the small pistols are kind of a frustrating combination... they never really hold on to the guns correctly. That Deadpool mask is definitely encapsulates the 90's look they were going for... but it also captures why a lot of people hated the art of the 90's. Series 28 Deadpool is worlds better. That being said, I will probably buy the Domino from someone on eBay.
  7. I just received Dark Avengers Ares in the mail today and I have to say that I'm very impressed. Everything about him is perfect. He's definitely my new favorite.
  8. I think it's almost a certainty that it will be the X-Force. Comedy option: New Warriors.
  9. Has the release of this wave been moved back? Big bad toy store is now showing a July 2010 release.
  10. Speaking of definitive versions of characters... do we have a thread where that subject is discussed?
  11. I'm thinking about buying a LEGO castle or something to pose my fledgling collection on... has anyone done this?
  12. You should do it man, it sounds exciting! I suppose I'm in the camp that likes the new plastic. I just like the texture of it. It may be a little softer, but I'm not making my little men fight all day, so I think it's going to turn out fine for me.
  13. I agree. I finally got my champions set a few days ago and I'm having trouble deciding which character I like best.
  14. Hulkbuster Armor (Modular Addon) * First Appearance: Iron Man (vol. 1) #304 (May 1994) The round look for the armour came out way before the World War Hulk version.
  15. We have already got a secret wars Doom.
  16. It will be interesting to see how these compare to the new Fantastic Four releases. I don't really anticipate them looking better than yours though... great job!
  17. These collections are pretty amazing. I had a good laugh at the bait boxes... all those severed hands... what a horror show. : )
  18. This is what needs to happen before anything else.
  19. It's pretty ridiculous that the battle damaged version didn't come with at least one whip.
  20. So... how is the Evo 8 working out for you? Nice car!
  21. I choked a little when I saw Tony in that helmet. It's looks... heavy.
  22. ^ As much as I would like to see this happen I doubt it will be just like this. They will throw in Ronin/Hawkeye and maybe a big name Avenger in there that we have already had before. Even so, I imagine it would make a great set. I think a Fantastic Four set is the only sure thing of all of these. Chuck all but guaranteed it in the chat didn't he? I'm hoping to see some modern X-Force guys to round out the Wolverine/X-23/Warpath group. Hopefully we will get a X-Force Archangel, Wolfsbane, Domino + someone else. I would like to see a heroic age Thunderbolts as I mentioned in another thread. A modern Luke Cage, a new Hulkbuster-esque Juggernaut, Man-Thing and Crossbones would be pretty decent, and I think Cage and Juggs give it enough big name star power to move a few units. On top of these I can't really think of anyone I really want to see made... maybe Mr Sinister... a modern Wasp... a new Cable without the huge shoulder pads, and a partridge in a pear tree. Edit: And a Hulk I would actually want to purchase!
  23. You must have nightmares of some cat getting in your house and hopping up on that table.
