Hey, i'd of checked, IJS.

Awesome!
I don't yet have Iceman, but he's on my wants list and i'll be ordering some of these accessories and brickarms from your store at some point.
As far as the casting and molding goes on the accessories and ideas to put forward, how about these:
On the MUA game, one of Spider-Man's specials is firing two single webshots to the floor and then launching himself like a sling shot into his foe, there is already a Spider-Web accessory on your store but i am referring more to individual web based projectiles, maybe one end could be flat with the other end fastening around the wrists of the opponent? you could then have 1 on each hand
(I might have to sketch this out to show you what i mean).
Also how about some Iron Man repulsor beams?
And although they might not be everyone's favourites, i've always wanted a hadoken and shoryuken accessory for Ryu.

Did you use picasa to change the colour?
That orange glow/hue you are getting comes from the bulb, you can use free software from Picasa to change that colour balance as well as adjust lighting, oh and Picasa is free to download.
The pictures are well in focus and clear enough, but the colour balance could be better, give it a try, i know when i had my light tent last year i had the same issue.

While not related to MvC directly, today I was in my Local Town Centre and took the opportunity to go into Forbidden Planet. They had Minimates in stock, they had ones from as far back as Wave 20
but they also had more recent waves from 42. So it's good to know they are still importing them for sale in their store.
They had:
Civil War Captain America & Arnim Zola
Armored Thor & Beta Ray Bill
Eric Masterson as Thunderstrike & Kronan Stone Man
Eric Masterson as Thor & Kronan Stone Man
They also had the white Tiger & Hand Ninja as well as Havok & Polaris and Professor Hulk & Abomination.
I guess I posted this because the discussion had turned towards LCS. Whilst i'll still need international assistance for the TRU exclusive stuff i should be ok getting regular minimates releases from here, its a bit of a bus ride away for me to go but i'm planning on going down there again soon and making some purchases

Just as a quick request, can i read the Age of V? somewhere online?
I like all kinds of creativity and if it all possible even though it isn't finished and now cancelled i'd still like to read what was published/released.
Thanks for the vote of confidence in the selection of photos, hopefully now I am selected I'll be able to help you guys with your Batman project and create something awesome.

Awesome!
I can totally understand why you wouldn't want to shell out that kind of $ on a Hal Jordan
I think with the customizing versatility of minimates figures it enables you to make your own, you've chosen nicely with the parts on this custom, the only snag i would say it looks like the hands have molded to the arms through the paint? unless that is just the angle of the picture? you might of been better painting the removable hands seperately?
Other than that he is awesome, i like the head decal it looks spot on, i would suggest sealing it, but i am unsure what product to use, i'd imagine that would be best answered by one of the more senior customizers on the forum.
Nicely done mate!

Awesome shelf display!
I really like it, plenty of those mates that i don't have yet, but given enough time
Who is that next to Ms.Marvel?
Who is that next to Thor?

Has anyone tried trading in games at Target? Are they more reasonable than Gamestop?
I've found often the best policy is to sell your games on ebay, or cash them in at a dvdsite like musicmagpie, 'cash for old games, dvds, cds' I had a clear out last year and got back about £55 in clearing out unwanted dvds and games, then use that money to buy whatever it is you want outright.
Even my friend who trades games on a monthly basis says you don't usually get good value back at the Gamestores, i guess the trick is to take what you have and go in, see what they offer first, you're not under any obligation to accept it there and then, if it's a crap deal just tell them you'll think about it over wk'end.

Thanks for your advice and suggestions guys.
After much thinking time and taking into account what has been said on this thread, as well as taking into account i actually don't have any version of Thor in minimate form, I think my best bet here is to go for the First Appearance Thor that comes with Balder, i'll get him first, try him out, and i'll still intend to buy the Stormbreaker box set at a later date.
I'll probably order them both off Luke's Toy Store tonight, as he also has the Cap n Crossbones two pack and for some reason even though I can't figure out why, I think the Crossbones figure looks awesome. I don't know too much about the character but i guess marvel wiki can sort that out for me
First Appearance Thor it is!
Thanks again.

Hey Guys,
I wanted to discuss the Minimates based around the character Thor.
First of all, forgive me if my comic book knowledge is askew, obviously where possible please point me in the right direction if i make a mistake.
I was looking at my wants list for Marvel, i've been holding out to get a Stormbreakers Box Set, which would give me: Mighty Thor, Beta Ray Bill, Loki & Sif.
First of all, while looking at my own collection I have Captain America, Iron Man & Ms.Marvel to make the Avengers (once i get Thor of course). But would i be ok using the Thor that comes in the Stormbreaker box set?
I am not that keen on the Ultimate version or armored version or the movie versions, but i saw there was one released with Loki in Wave 16 and more recently the TRU with Balder the Brave in which he is named as First Appearance Thor? ~ so i'm wondering how much of a difference there is between these two?
My Minimates I have in the Avengers line I have are as follows:
Captain America ~ Wave 5
Iron Man Wave ~ 6
Ms.Marvel Wave ~ 19
My idea is to try and get Thor as close to classic look as possible so he stands well next to the other 3, I'm intending also to get the Avengers boxed set, i've had this previously anyway and would like to get it again at some point for Ant-Man and Wasp mostly.
My dilemma if it is one is to avoid getting too many Thor's I've looked at the one released with Loki and that looks a good one, but i am thinking if i am already planning to get the Stormbreaker box set wouldn't this be just as good? Seeing as though he's listed as the Mighty Thor or maybe the one with Balder would be best, as its described as being First appeareance Thor?
So my choice i think comes down to these 3 Thor's and I guess by posting this up for discussion i'm looking for some knowledgeable input from you guys as which would be the best?
I remember particularly having two larger figures as a kid, the Iron Man i had was red and yellow and had straight arms, i had a captain america in classic uniform as well (this would of been late 80s or early 90s) which is why my minimate selections reflect those costumes.
Ok. I'm hoping someone here can help out with some advice.

I've returned to playing M.U.A
I completed the main story mode last year, but i haven't completed all the comic book stories on the training simulator, so i've returned to doing these.

Is the second wave of MvC out in March? Or February?
I just saw that the newest 2-packs are up on TRU.com. Wolf vs. Vengeful Joe, eh?
Sentinel vs Rye XD I didn't know bread was in this game.

I'd like to have Kang, but given that the 4 of those characters haven't been made i'd be happy with any of them,.
I'd rather spend my $ on one of those than the latest Movie releases. Not because i dont like the movies when they are released but my collection is more geared towards comic book versions of characters i dont yet have.
It's a good thing that Zach has said one of those will be released, it shows they are moving in the right direction at least, releasing the movie minimates in time for the Avengers films and satisfying other collectors too with additional minimates.
I'll be patient and wait and see what happens.

I've bought ML and DCUC from Canada before off ebay without any problems, my understanding with customs fees is more to do with the actual value of the item your importing?
I remember having to pay custom fees on both my Scopedog & Variant M.Bison as they were both over £100
If your 4 figures you are buying are over that value and you want it insured and all the correct boxes ticked i'd imagine customs will hit you with a fee yeah.

Hey,
Thanks for sharing the recipe, I look forward to making him

Hey Guys,
I made changes to the front wall and supporting walls to the elevator, aside from actually being installed into the batcave this is as tweaked and modified as it could possibly get.
Before I pull it down and install it in the Batcave i thought it would be cool to share with you.
The Project aside from the elevator installation and a few more additional tiles and walls in the study is almost finished.

Cable is made from:
Hair-is from Retro Cable
Face-is a decal
Body-top is black with painted Halo Kat armor
Arms-Left is GSX colossus Right hand has a Resistance Nathan Hale knife
Belt-Iron Man Wave 2 Black Widow
Legs-Bottom half is from War Machine
Hey,
thanks for that, but i was wondering if you could share the recipe for Forge?
Unless that is the recipe for him and the character 'cable' was a typo?
Please let me know, as I recently posted the Forge custom on facebook to show my friend and i'd really like to make this character at some point.
Thanks for your time.

I'd definately go for a wave that introduces more comic book heroes and villains to the marvel list of mates. Just as long as they are comic book based and not movie. Don't get me wrong i don't mind watching the movies but they aren't my priority.
-
oh cool, yeah i think you'd definately need some quality time to sort them out!!
Nah its cool, i actually need both trainers and blue wash jeans for my tommy vercetti custom , i got a reply from someone this evening about the possibility of getting them so we'll see.
Hope you have fun on the multiverse!
Rich

Judging by the way the releases have come out over the last year their priority appears to be on the newer stuff, MvsC and the Avengers movie stuff. Maybe we'll get them in a new wave next year?
-
Welcome to the MMMV forum, (also a brit).
If you have any Back to the Future Marty Mcfly's going spare (the one with blue wash jeans and white trainers) or spare parts be the blue wash jeans and trainers i really need some for a custom.
Being a Marvel fan, will you be delving into the Marvel Vs Capcom 3 series?

Just out of curiosity, because I have absolutely no idea, who is the guy in the red n gold with crossbow?
And are these guardians actual super heroes characters from a comic or ones you made up yourself?
I ask because way back when i was into ML i thought about making a new 4 super hero team in ML scale, I just wasn't confident enough to make a new team in that scale, where as with Minimates i feel confident enough that i could create them myself.
All of your customs look really nice, but i'd say the Martinex one really stands out, I mean if this picture had been posted as part of a DST future figures release for next year i wouldn't even be able to tell the difference
Rich

Martinex is the 'blue Flame' guy?
Definately my favourite, I'm glad you posted up follow up pictures, i'm late commenting on your customs but they look professionally done, awesome job!

This is a really good attempt at Kang, if you do decide to redo, the only thing i would probably change is the green, it seems to be too bright, unless you adjusted it lighter afterwards with a photo colour adjustment afterwards.
This is the Marvel Legends Fantastic Four Classics version..
From what i recall the green was a dark green as opposed to the lighter green in your minimate version. I also love the 'angry' expression on his face. Perhaps we should turn him to DST in the hope they would be scared enough into making him,
Awesome!
