  1. I didn't include Exclusives in my list so i should add that really...

    EXCLUSIVES:

Lord Of The Rings Sauron (Tower Records and a big thanks to Ady)

Lord Of The Rings Elrond (ActionFigureExpress and a big thanks to Amazing JL)

DC John Stewart (Again with the big thanks, this time to Minivenom)

If anybody wants to help me out with getting my hands on Thanos & Silver Surfer then it'll be vastly appreciated :D

  2. Well my personal opinion is that Beast Machines was as good as Beast Wars and everything after R.I.D pretty much sucked (Armada/Energon/Cybertron-Some good toys though) but i know a few people who hated Beast Machines so i guess it would depend on who you asked really...

Overall though, if i remember rightly, the only decline in popularity really was the gap between G1 and Beast Wars...

This page gives a fairly concise rundown of the Transformers cartoons...

  3. Beast Wars/Machines to my mind was as good as G1 and easily carried it off as part of the G1 universe. I would have to say though that out of the two, For me Wars was the better series but Machines had some far better ideas in it's storylines...

The comics weren't bad, i've got scans of #1 through to #80 of the US release and currently bargaining for #1 through to #332 of the UK release. For me the comics gave you a wider perspective of the characters and the general G1 universe, obviously because you could explore more in a comic than you could in a 22 minute cartoon. And for me, reading through them now, they seem to approach and be made for an older audience than the cartoon ever was. I'll agree though, the timelines thing was a little hard to keep track of at times...

I'll keep quiet about the 2007 movie and reserve judgement until i actually sit and watch it. But gotta say, so far i'm not convinced...

  4. I've got the normal 1-disc anniversary version but i've been seriously thinking of picking up the 2-disc version and probably letting my little boy have the 1-disc copy...

    As to your question...

"Has anyone bought this yet?" = See above...

"Am I the only one who likes it?" = That i'm aware, there's a few Transformer fans on the board, me included (Obviously :P )

"Is it worth buying?" = You have to ask this, it's Transformers for a start, of course you have to buy it. And probably better to own the 2-disc copy over the 1-disc copy...

In conclusion, if you haven't already got the anniversary 1 disc version you may as well go for the 2-disc version...

  5. but how about one of these? (i had one about 5 years ago...)

Three words. (In the voice of comic book guy from The Simpsons)

    Best...

    MP3 players...

    Ever!!!

Or at least in my opinion they are :P See post #21

This brings up another point. How do you guys feel about "file-sharing"? I used to get some music off Kazaa, but not much, and not anymore.

I'm all for file sharing. Although it has to be said that if i D/L an album and i like then i will generally as a rule go out and buy it. For example the last Ihsahn album, got hold of it, had a listen and then the next day i went out and bought it. I only really D/L stuff for a preview of the album unless it's rare, hard to find stuff...

  6. I read two online comics on a regular basis...

Grim & The JC & Shortpacked, for added convenience the two links i just posted start off at the beginning of the comics...

But after recently reading through Minimate Adventures i'm gonna have to add that to my list as well...

I've now definitely got to get myself a Kubrick professor X Chair for my Minimate professor X because it looks far better than the official MM version...

Excellent work though Donny, made me ::cbol:: a few times while i was reading through...

You may want to check out some others. Like Ctrl-Alt-Del, VG Cats, and 8-bit Theater. I read Shortpacked! too.

I'll google them tomorrow, cheers for the heads up dude :)

Check out Grim And The JC. highly funny stuff and highly recommended...

  8. I must have totally missed the SF2 one then

These giveaways can happen in any forum. We are up to six now.

As long as the next one isn't for a Silver Surfer/Thanos then it's all good...

Aye great stuff as always MMMV guys! You treat us all right :D

Agreed totally. Excellent community, very friendly and helpful and the RMGT's are like the icing on the cake...

Golly, I'm blushing over here. :)

You should be, but it was appreciated that you did it...

  9. My mate Dave, the one who put the video together and added all the music and what not only had limited resources to work with at the time. But the next one we do we've said about trying to make out own introduction instead of using the Jackass one...

Should be getting some more stuff over the weekend and although i'm really not keen on the idea of riding a shopping trolley into a kerb it should look good

Again, unlike Jackass, we've got limited resources when it comes to spending money on doing stupid stuff :P

  10. I'm on here at least 3 times a day & I can never catch one of these! Congrats, winners!

(Bruticus, you've made out like a bandit this week- John Stewart and now LotR)

Was the John Stewart one an official MMMV contest or ?

And i'm pretty sure that the other Random Giveaway with the Elves was between this one and the John Stewart one, can't remember to be honest...

  11. LOL, I saw that episode of Robot Chicken the other night... and I laughed really hard, when I saw it reminded me of Lurch77 straight away :D

I've only ever seen one episode of Robot Chicken and that was only because it had Transformers in it, so i'm not actually clued into what you're on about :(
