  1. There are several ways. i spent about two years traveling the country going to comic cons trying to get work and listening to all of the advice offered to me. From there I made the acquaintance of several people that I saw at con after con and bar after bar. After building a bit of familiarity with some it came naturally. With others it is just me emailing and asking if they are down to collaborate, and others are referred by people I have worked with.

thanks for the kind words. it is hard work from all involved so hopefully we can have a satisfactory payoff.

  2. I have spent the last few months working on a themed short story comic written by me and featuring illustrations from several rising comic artists. I have a few name artists attached to this who are interested in working with me once i find a publisher and easily accessible advice from some of the industry's successful veterans so my fingers are crossed that I can land it.

I am getting ready to pitch pretty soon. The lettering is almost done as is the actual design layouts, chapter title cards and other items but I wanted to drop a few unlettered pages here before hand to give you guys a peek. I will update the information once I have some good news.

This one is by Dusty Higgins (Pinocchio Vampire Slayer)

  3. I'll have to check that out.

I found a minifigs site with some cool pieces. Mainly shields and swords and such but still compatible as far as i can tell.

Also I cannibalized the latest TRU Gamma Hulk to make a decent armor and giant fist construct for John Stewart. In the books he has been seen lately sporting full marine combat gear so I might start looking into seeing if i can get a mold made from my MAX SWAT minimate and cast a clear green one to get it close to comic style as i can.

  4. Here is a list. I am trying to include the usual sellers in the sets wherever I can.

90's X-Factor - Havok, Polaris, Multiple Man, Strong Guy

X-Factor Investigations - Madrox, Shatterstar, Syren, Strong Guy

Future Foundation - Mr Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Thing, Spider-Man

Trial of Captain America - Winter Soldier, Sin, Crossbones, Baron Zemo

ONSLAUGHT - X-Man, Onslaught, Hairy-Bandana Wearing Wolverine, "Joseph" Magneto

War of the Kings - Vulcan, Gladiator, Blackbolt, Ronan

Marvel Noir - Luke Cage, Spider-Man, Daredevil, Punisher

Utopia - Namor, Cyclops, Hope, Emma Frost

90's "Leather Jacket" Era Avengers - Captain America, Black Knight, White Vision, Sersi

  5. I found the first wave of these in Toys R Us today and even though I purchased the Green Lantern and Sinestro pack I feel it is a slap in the face of minimates everywhere. That aside, these should be a big hit with kids if they can manage to find the stash that scalpers have not gotten to yet.

  6. I honestly can't remember if we've discussed this, but my gaming habits got me to thinking about this. How do you play a game? Do you play it start to finish, just the campaign or vice versa and only play the multi-player or play a bunch of games at the same time? I'm kind of a start to finish kind of guy for some reason

I do start to finish (all side missions, exploring all i can, 100% upgrades, etc) with usually two games at a time (Currently Black Ops & Medal of Honor) so i can switch on harder parts. I do very little multiplayer and if i do it is free for all. I also enjoy DLC releases that add to the story, not just 1 new costume and multiplayer maps. Also I am OCD with playing a game to the fullest so i try to get as many achievements as i can without going crazy.

  7. There are lots of theories going on the net but here is mine.

In the credits we hear a conversation with two men we have never heard before saying that "he" is going into shock and to get "him" into the animus. What I feel is that this unseen or unmentioned man is possibly a descendant of Desmond trying to find the apple through his ancestors memories the same way Desmond is. Maybe i have seen Inception one time too many but a memory within a memory is possible.

What if this whole thing, the series and all, was to set up some post apocalyptic world where the assassins run as free with open combat as they did in the old world but some technology on their side?

  8. I am trying to find clear items of various colors that I could use as energy beams and other constructs that might be compatible to fit on the hands the Green Lantern and Sinestro minimates (and other Corps customs).

Aside from the street fighter and other minimate accessories i have having a bit of luck but if anyone out there knows of any other items please list them below.

the constructs that come with the DCUC Katma figure fit PERFECTLY on the minimates hands and come off without taking the hand as well. I have not tried them but I think the items that came with John Stewart are too big. I am looking for cheap constructs that came with the new two pack Sinestro so I can try those too.

Also I have found that the energy blast that comes with the Marvel Universe Iron Man figs perfectly latch onto the arms of Sinestro

I am hoping that the 3 3/4" Green Lantern movie figures are compatible as well.

  9. i worked at one after school ended before I got a career going a few years back. It wasnt so bad and I still go in once a week on fridays to talk to the people i worked with as well as hunt for minimates.

Morning shift was awesome, night shift was bad IMO when we had to spend an undetermined amount of time putting items away. sometimes you just have places to be, you know? I loved the scalpers that where there in the morning though. i would purposely grab all of the good stuff before they got there and put them in the return cart. I also loved when they would return exactly seven days later to return items that did not sell on ebay.

that said, awesome times with some laid back people. the occasional hard ass will pop up but the vets working there are usually cool.

Oh, and buyer protection plans are for cashiers. if you are a floor person you are safe but aim for "Bicycle assembly". you are basically in the back customer free putting together bikes all day and it makes the time go by much quicker.
