I actually liked the Pocket Heroes. . .until I saw Minimates
I still dig Pocket Super Heroes. Collecting the many and varied Green Lantern Pocket Super Heroes is what got me into toy collecting to begin with. If they just had two (or better yet, four) more points of articulation, I'd probably rate them as better than Minimates, what with the larger size and less stylized design allowing for more personalization per character (okay, potential, not actual...the Guardian really is bad. I want a Minimate Guardian just so I have one that's the right scale for the Pocket Super Heroes...). I got started on Minimates out of a desire to get the GLs that weren't made. Then I got Minimate versions of the characters I already had. Then I decided I needed a Minimate Alan Scott to complete my collection, and realized how awesome Minimates are for customization. Then, having both Golden Age Green Lantern and Red Tornado (who I got because...well...), I just had to complete the JSA in Minimate form, which of course meant I needed more Pocket Super Heroes...long story slightly less long: I finally got ahold of Hawkman and Hawkwoman, and wish there were more DC Minimates to buy. These new Blammoids things are not that, and they look terrible, to boot.

Of course, several of these *coughBatmancough* have many, many versions. I'll just go by character, though. You know what you have. I'll also be listing some more than once, because they belong to several groups.
Superman Family:
Superman (duh)
Lex Luthor
Brainiac
Cyborg Superman
Steel
Bizarro
Supergirl
Darkseid
Power Girl
Batman Family:
Batman (WHO KNEW?!)
Riddler
Batgirl (Cassandra Cain)
Batgirl (Barbara Gordon)
Catwoman
Joker
Man-Bat
Nightwing
Robin
Bane
Batwoman
Clayface
Harley Quinn
Killer Croc
OMAC
Penguin
Green Lantern Corps:
Hal Jordan
John Stewart
Guy Gardner
Salaak
Kilowog
Sinestro
Star Sapphire
Justice League:
It would be easier to list which characters do NOT fit into this category.
Ma Hunkel Red Tornado
Batwoman
Blackhawk
Golden Age Flash
Mary Marvel
Nightwing
Raven
Robin
Stargirl
S.T.R.I.P.E.
Salaak
Sgt. Rock
Starfire
The Question
Wildcat
...all others have been in the Justice League, or have fought the Justice League, at some point. And actually, I could be wrong about a couple of the ones I listed.
Justice Society:
Batman
Superman
Wonder Woman
Dr. Fate
Golden Age Flash
Hawkgirl
Hawkman
Ma Hunkel Red Tornado
Captain Marvel
Power Girl
Stargirl
S.T.R.I.P.E.
Spectre
Wildcat
(Teen?) Titans:
Robin
Nightwing
Starfire
Cyborg
Flash (Wally West)
Raven
Supergirl
Deathstroke
52 (I like this idea^^):
Steel
Booster Gold
The Question
Batwoman
Starfire
Lobo
Ambush Bug
(Now I wish there had been an Animal Man and an Adam Strange madeT_T)
And, for fun, Characters Who Have Died and Come Back to Life:
Superman
Blue Beetle
Flash (Barry Allen)
Raven
Aquaman
Green Arrow
Hal Jordan
Sinestro
Hawkman*
Lobo*
Wildcat*
And Batman, if you count being currently dead, but guaranteed to come back within the next year or so
(*Not sure if they count, since dying and coming back is part of their power...meh, whatev)
Note that 52 may not be the most beloved of story arcsIt may, in fact, be the most beloved of story arcs DC has put out in quite a long time. If only they hadn't tainted its memory with Countdown...
And Rad, if my memory serves me correctly then Booster, Blue Beetle and Guy Gardner had been members of the Justice Society of America at one point as well. Not so far as I've ever seen or heard. They were part of the famous Giffen/DeMatteis-era Justice League, though.
I have a feeling the Spectre had something to do with the Lanterns for a while too - or was inhabiting a Lantern at one stage? But he's not really part of the GL Corps. After Hal Jordan died, he became the Spectre for a goodly number of years. That's not the version which was made into a minimate, though.
The modern (well, before countdown I think) Spectre is Hal Jordan.I display him with the JSA, because I believe the minimate is based off of the Spectre before Hal (forget his name) and he is/was? part of the JSA.
Hal's been alive since about '04. The Spectre was hostless for a while, but became Crispus Allen during Infinite Crisis. And yeah, the minimate is based on the Jim Corrigan Spectre. Obscure knowledge of DC characters ftw.

Ooh, nice! What's the recipe?

Thanks!
I was looking up at my (Silver-Age) Red Tornado and wondering about his cape, too. It'd take more recoloring than Ocean Master's, that's for sure. I think if one were to do a full recoloring of the boots, Hawkman/Hawkwoman's boots would likely be better, as they're the proper shape for Alan Scott's (also the right color, and even have yellow lines, but alas, in the completely wrong configuration).

The boots are giving me a bit of pause. I don't know if a decal would really work for the gold straps, but I also have 0 experience with paints. I do wish they'd just managed to get out an Alan and a Kyle before stopping. It's like Pocket Super Heroes all over again-_-
But hey, at least they released the only Ma Hunkel toy in existence^_^

Your post got me thinking, and I decided to give it a shot myself (had to track some of the right parts on the eBay, but it worked out well enough). I'm using a C3 Riddler head for mine, since the mask will match the cape then, and GA Flash's chest (and boots, and arms). Since I'll get an Aquaman with Ocean Master, I figure I'll use his hair (and legs; just gotta figure out how I want to do the belt). I made a decal for mine (the shade of red probably isn't quite right, but that shouldn't be hard to fix in photoshop), is the reason I post about this.
Mayhaps you can make use of it (don't forget - Alan's ring goes on the left hand^^).
On an unrelated note, did you do the Kyle in your avatar?

You know, as terrible as that movie was, he would look amazing as a minimate.
