  1. Wow, SO many choices. And so many that i had suggested & now have to say no to.

So, i've picked Age of Apocalypse, Mutant Liberation Front & Excaliber.

I figure this poll is the best way to get 'Mates we would normally not get a chance at. We've got so many avengers & Spidey sets that i left them both alone & Put my votes to AOA & MLF, because i figure they had the least chance.

And my last vote went to Excaliber, because i figure i should put at least one vote somewhere that it might have a chance of winning.

Come-on guys - let's all get voting and make sure we use this poll to get more unusual 'Mates made, not more Iron Men.

PS: Thanx Bob for the crazy amount of research & effort.

  2. Did anyone else notice you could vote more than once? I never saw anyone else mention it, but you could vote everyday.

I'm kind of saddened by the results. I like X-characters, but I'm not sure why some of them had to be choices and not just made on their own. The poll should have been just for the more obscure characters who'd never have a chance. Of course, I am glad that the Amazing Baghead didn't make it.

well - i voted for more obscure X-Character: Lilandra, The Stepford Cuckoos; Hellfire Club Soldiers; Multiple Man & Magik in the hopes of getting more women & army builders, but alas - not enough people shared my enthusiasm for chicks & armies.

It's be cool to know the complete poll results & see how every option ranked.

  3. Marvelous News revealed the results of the 3 3/4" poll.

NO-ONE i voted for got in, but i'm still pretty happy with 4 of the choices made. I'm looking forward to seeing what the prototypes look like.

Hasbro has posted the results for their 3 3/4" Marvel Universe Fan's Choice poll which they they ran on their website last month. Here is a list of the Top 5 characters that recieved the most votes and will be made into upcoming 3 3/4" Marvel Universe action figures by Hasbro:

    #1 – Archangel

    #2 – Winter Soldier

    #3 – Havok

    #4 – Mystique

    #5 – Mary Jane Watson

Hasbro says because the response was so good for this poll, they plan to do a Top 7 poll in 2010 to help celebrate Marvel's 70th Year Anniversary.

PS: Sorry if i've posted this in the wrong thread . . . feel free to relocate it if applicable.

  4. I don't really know. You see, I don't want to patronize anybody, but I'd suggest to make a deadline for say Sunday to add individual box set whishes to that list. Then we could just put the gathered choises "as they are" in a first round poll and everybody has like 3 votes. That's the most democratic way to whittle down that list, I guess. Afterwards we take the top 10 or 15 choises to come to a final poll where the most wanted box sets are chosen with "one boardie - one vote" method.

For me that seems to be the most effective and realizable method.

    What do you think?

I agree all round. we should get this into action asap. I think the wish list above is pretty comprehensive and we probably don't even need to wait till Sunday for more suggestions.

I'm thinking we should vote on 'teams' or 'box sets' this coming week to narrow the playing field down to maybe 5 in total. Then vote on the possible line-ups for each set the following week. Or are we trying to get it down to one solid box-set choice to represent MMMV?

  5. All righty, here are (more or less) the results of my informal survey of the miscellaneous requests in the AFX reveal threads. Most likely any future request in this thread has appeared in some form in this list already, I guess.

    Angel reveal thread

    Neal Adam's original X-Men

    X-Factor

    X-men vs. Brotherhood (of Mutants?)

Uncanny X-Men (Banshee, Longshot, long-haired Bishop, Sunfire...)

    Ghost Rider reveal thread

    Excalibur

    Unus, the Vanisher,Kang, Electro

    Black Widow reveal thread

    updated Cable, Rogue, Bishop

    Nighthawk and Hellcat (Defenders)

    Black Panther & Black Bolt

    Hellfire Club

    X-Force

    Inhumans

    Hercules reveal thread

    Alpha Flight

Wolverine Origins movie set (Gambit, Emma Frost...)

"... Jean Grey Thorugh the Ages?!?!"

    Sinister

    Four Horsemen of (the) Apocalypse

    any Age of Apocalypse characters

    Mutant Liberation Front set

    Jim Lee-era Jubilee

    Exiles

    War of Kings-related set

Gen X (or whatever this is)

    Starjammers

These are the sets that i'd buy without question. Extra excitment for the highlighted sets.

  6. Ok - so please don't shoot me guys. My Picks are:

    1. Excalibur: Captain Britain, Megan, Shadowcat, Phoenix

    2. Age of Apocalypse: Holocaust, Sunfire, Nate Grey, Jean Grey/Rogue

    3. X-Factor: 90's Multiple Man, Strong Guy, Wolfsbane, Random, Polaris. Or Current Multiple Man, Strong Guy, Siryn, Monet

    4. X-Force (90's): Warpath, Cannonball, Siryn, Rictor, Retro Cable.

    5. Mutant Liberation Front: Stryfe, Reaper, Tempo, Wildside/Locus

AND - because none of my top 5 are likely to be made, i'm picking a 6th place as well.

    6. Inhumans: Medusa, Blackbolt, Crystal, Maximus

  7. Man - i would love to see an Age of Apocalypse set. (So long as it's not that anniversary sh!t):

    Holocaust

    Nate Grey

    Sunfire

Rogue/Jean Grey (one of the 'never be made' characters)

(I'm not including Weapon X, cause i reckon he's popular to make it into a normal wave)

    Or Classic Excalibur line-up

    Phoenix (Rachel the Hound)

    Shadowcat (Puffy Blue Sleeves)

    Captain Britain

    Megan

    Wouldn't say no to a 90's era X-Force or X-Factor either.

  8. *facepalm* Why? Don't these people know how to retcon and fix it on the fly instead of restarting every 3 years? Case in point: Hulk. The first one happened, but they all but ignored it. Do that if you feel like it. FF was great. Just give me a third one and leave it alone. Have them go to work for Shield or something.

Um - i'm pretty sure the Ed Norton Hulk film was written so that you didn't HAVE to have seen the Eric Bana one, but if you had, then it followed on from it.

  9. >:(

    AARGH My EYES!!!

Why, Oh WHY, does our Deadpool have LASER EYES!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

my hypothesis is that his is NOT deadpool (despite what the toys say), but rather he'll be

an amalgamation of all the inmates powers in one manufactured mutant. Cyclops' blasts, Deadpools agility, Wolverines claws etc. . .

I think they've labeled the toys 'Deadpool' because it's a more popular well known name & would sell better than Weapon XI.

  10. no more movie mates for those other suprises.

Of course, i'll buy anything X-men...or Jean Grey. And that reminds me:

Where the hell is my Jean Grey Thorugh the Ages?!?! :P

From your mouth to DST's ears. I'd buy like 3 of those sets.

    FO Shizzle!

Green suit Marvel Girl with pointy gold mask

    Madeline Pryor Goblin Queen Garb

    90's era Jim Lee Costume

Age of Apocalyopse tattoo faced Jean (not the awful 10th aniversary costume)

While we're wishing - i'd LOVE a Mutant Liberation Front set. In fact,

    Stryfe

is making a return in the upcoming

Messiah Wars story in Cabel & X-Force

    - so maybe the MLF isn't too far-out a possibility?

  11. Does the torso piece looks a bit more sculpted than previous power-house chest add ons?

Also - what sweet joy could this hint be pointing too:

'Oh, did we mention that we just might have another surprise or two ... or four ... or maybe even eight? Stay tuned ...'
