Okay, I don't watch Watchmen, but I wanted to bring this up.

Ever since the movie came out, I've seen about twenty people with a Watchmen comic book in school. Crazy how many people read them now because they saw the movie and liked it.

Yeah, I saw the Armoured Assault Tank at Target. I thought the same thing...

I'd want these, a lot, because it'd be cool to have some Halo peoples. I don't wanna buy the Kubricks, because I hate Kubricks, so that'll be a reason why they'd sell these even if they have Kubricks of Halo.

I also want the vehicles, and hopefully the Minimates fit. It'd be sweet to have a Minimate control the Warthog.

Okay, this is going to sound very surprising, but...

I've never read any Marvel (or DC, but I like Marvel stuff more...) comics, and I wanna know which comic book should I get first?

I searched and couldn't find this topic, and I wanna know everyone's opinions on this.

Do you prefer comic books (Marvel, DC, etc.) or normal books (sci-fi novels, non fiction, fiction, romance, etc.)...

... and why?

I like comic books more, because they're fun to read. They're also smaller, making it easier (and faster) to read normal books, and they seem to have a lot more going on. I also like how there are pictures, making it easier to see what's going on and see what the characters look like. In novels, you can't tell, you just get a description (what they're wearing, what color skin, etc.).

I mean, don't get me wrong, novels are good, too, but...

... I just hate not knowing what the characters look like and when I read a book, I usually get confused between characters talking. Most novels don't give me enough info to what the character looks like, so I have to make up a person.

Hopefully it works, Dio. My zombie Wolverine's ball joint broke off... wish I wouldn't have just tried to move it once I got it. DX

About a week ago, I ordered Minimates from AFX. They got shipped to my mom's work, and I called her but she said she didn't get the package, and when she got home, she had them!

I opened the box and was so happy to find everything was there, and in good condition. I got the Iron Man Through the Ages boxset. (Probably my favorite boxset I've gotten so far.)

I also got wave 23, plus the variant Mark II War Machine. With all of that I got a free AFX Exclusive Iron Man Movie Minimates Hostile Takeover Box Set and Web Armour Spiderman! All for $60 shipped. Not too bad, for AFX's shipping charges...

After they got here and I opened them, I was even more happy because none of the Minimates had any problems (loose legs, arms, etc.).

Usually, whenever I order Minimates in bulk like that, I always have several figures with loose limbs, and this is the first time none were like that! To add on to all this, the only problem I had was with the variant Mark II War Machine. Jim Rhode's hairpiece would not come off, but honestly, I could care less! I was going to keep his helmet off in my display, anyways. I wish I had a camera so I could post pics...

Oh, and sorry about all this. I'm just so happy right now...

I've never had any good luck like that. Last time I saw Minimates at my comic book store, they were WAAAAAAAY overprices. Whenever I go to Toys 'R' Us, they never have any either.

A new comic book store opened up several houses down from my school, so they might have some.
