I just know that admitting this will probably get me mocked or whatever, but I don't care. I just figured out the coolest thing.... When you click on a member's name (like in a thread posting) & you get the pop-out menu, you can instantly see the gender of a member. If it's a male, the "view member profile" icon is blue; for a female, it's pink. Or is this something that's brand new? Like it just started recently? Either way, it's cool & should end the gender confusion, regardless of avatar or member name.

I agree with jcastick, Bob. Most of us have our "want/have" lists up or other posts about other things we enjoy, so do a little recon within the threads if you need to. I know that I wouldn't be adverse to getting something other than 'mates from my Santa (I have many posts about the other stuff I like), for example & I'm sure there are others who feel the same way. Good luck & I can't wait until I get the name of my person! PS - It's been said before, everyone, but I'll say it again: when you're sending your info to Reideen, be as clear as possible with your likes & whatnot -- even if that means your list is 100+ items. This way you'll have a better chance of getting something you truly want & it'll give your Secret Santa that warm fuzzy feeling of giving the perfect gift. (Honestly, nothing makes me feel better than that. :biggrin:)

Yep. I'm not a big Trek fan at all & was very skeptical of this movie at first. But then I saw that Simon Pegg is playing Scotty & John Cho is Mr. Sulu -- I lovelovelove Hot Fuzz (& was a big fan of Cho's show Off Centre, before it was cancelled). Now I'm going to see it in the theaters when it comes out. Dammit, Jim!! I'm a doctor, not a forklift!! :tongue:

From someone who is a girl (& by the way, P, I don't see your name as all that "girly"), I think nearly all of your responses are completely endearing. I'm not kidding either. It's nice to see that a forum made nearly up of all guys is so considerate & thoughtful -- most guys would behave exactly the way T & Pickle mentioned (or else shun a female member). You guys have all been extremely helpful & nice, so I feel right at home here. On a side note, BHM, my dad is in his early 50's & he still collects toys (not so much playing with them, since he refuses to remove them from their packaging). So do both my bros -- they collect & play. That's probably why I never stopped playing with mine, so I don't think it's anything out of the ordinary. Now if you started suggested some meet & greets to have "playdates," then I'd worry. PS - I'm really not shy at all. :tongue: I didn't realize this thread existed until North Raider mentioned it -- otherwise I would have posted sooner.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm super excited!! Beyond Halloween, Christmas is my favorite holiday. And I agree with TM2 Dino: get specific when possible. If there's something you want, say it. I lovelovelove shopping for people & it makes me feel really good to find the perfect present for someone.

Actually, T, you do. You were the one to direct me here during our AA days. I had already found Minimates Central, but I just never got around to clicking the link to MMMV from there. It wasn't until you suggested it that I started lurking. And I'm very happy I did. Not to sound sappy, but there's very little in-fighting & all that garbage that you usually find on forums & I wanted to acknowledge the fact. It is pretty rare & due to the caliber of members on this board. Exactly! Nobody takes the time anymore to give compliments -- usually it's just complaints.

Hey, all. I figure somebody here'll be able to help me. I have all of the Buffy Palz from series 2 except Spike (I actually bought him online, but after taking my money, the company had to refund it as he was suddenly "out of stock") -- so my limited edition Judge fig is almost complete. I just need the piece that comes with Spike (it's the left leg/cargo container piece, if you're looking at it head-on). I can trade with the left arm/cargo container piece that comes with Cordelia (instead of sending me Spike, they sent me her instead -- so I have extra). So if anyone has an extra, or knows where I can get the series 2 Spike Palz for less than $20, let me know! Thanks in advance!
