  1. The show seems to have had a bit of a resurgence this year, and despite most of the original cast having moved on it appears to still have viewership.  I would love to see the line return in some way.

The biggest problem with the comic line was poor line planning, and including duplicates of very specific zombies without alternate looks.  Why did Battle Damaged Tyreese come with a farmer zombie???  Why did we get Battle Damaged Tyreese before a standard Tyreese??? In hindsight, DST should have provided multiple heads for the prisoner and riot gear figures instead of taking up multiple slots with these figures.  Walking Dead very well may have benefitted from only 3 packs per wave instead of 4.

That's a little early. Wonder what PRCC staffer got a hold of one.

Someone from Timonium, MD named "DIG" auctions....so was this from the 2019 convention or upcoming 2020 convention?

  3. DST has done that with all of the Select figure lines at Walgreens.

LCS gets more accessories at a higher price point.  Walgreens wants a lower price point so fewer accessories.  All of the LCS NBX figures came with parts to build scene dioramas, but Walgreens was figures only.

The only exception I can think of is the Tron line, LCS was *supposed* to get parts with each figure to build a Recognizer, but apparently those parts were scrapped without notifying retailers to let people who pre-ordered know that they were getting less than they expected

  4. Another surprise wave, can't believe we are finally getting Corsair, Lilandra, and Gladiator.

I wouldn't be surprised if the last pack is Dark Phoenix and Fang Wolverine, but would love to see more of the StarJammers.  Maybe 81 is still a BAF wave with Hepzibah, Raza, and BAF Ch'od with Cr'reee?

Maybe 82 will be a complimentary Dark Phoenix themed wave?

We definitely need more 70's and 80's X-Men villains.  Black Tom with Juggernaut redo, Hellfire Club, Wendigo, a proper Sauron, Reavers, Callisto, Arcade....

  5. This is how a Minimates wave should be!!!  Constrictor looks perfect, Mockingbird and Deathlok are long overdue.  Stealth Iron Man is a long overdue redo of the comic version.

Bummed we aren't getting Miller Black Widow.

I don't mind losing the BAF if DST could find a way to get us 4-5 waves like this per year.

    - Long desired unmade characters with definitive looks

    - Redo's of both old and previously MCU or Animated only characters

    - A new look for an existing character.

They don't fit a specific story, but hit multiple corners of the Marvel Universe.

  6. It's the fact that new Endgame merch is still coming out from many different manufacturers almost 8 months out from the movie, including from DST.

The Endgame Minimates boxset sold well enough (despite repetition and screen innacuracy) to necessitate a second run, give us another wave of Endgame mates now that the dust has settled.  How could THIS wave not be a top seller with the character selection?

BD Iron Man (nanogauntlet) / BD Thanos

    Armored Cap (broken/normal shields/ Armored Thor (Mjolnir/Stormbreaker)

    Rescue / Rocket (blue suit)

    Captain Marvel / Iron Patriot

For what it's worth, I rarely see the Walgreens wave around at all, and when I do it is the Hulk/War Machine pack.  I haven't seen the Iron Man/Thanos pack in stores since summer.  There is consumer demand for this product.

  7. Have you considered doing retro-style toy commercials for YouTube?  Something along the lines of the old Star Wars, MOTU or GIJoe commercials?

How about teasers on the packaging for the next series?  That was always fun with the Joe cardbacks.

Could the lack of convention exclusives have contributed to lesser interest?  Maybe try to get at least one exclusive out for each of the big cons to help keep them in the public eye?  A 2-pack for NYCC, 4-pack for SDCC?  Something that will generate buzz and interest instead of retreads of all the same characters.  Make them fun and unique, and it will get the community's attention.

  8. My guess is Walgreens won't want an assortment because Captain Marvel did not sell well and that toy buyer left the company.  Zach already stated that recent boxset sales have been poor so specialty isn't getting a movie release either.
