Getting a sculpted helmet for Darkhawk in Wave 79 would require a tooling budget, apparently Minimates budget has been redistributed to make more $40 PVC GameStop statues.

So eBay should be flooded with scalped  2019 SDCC Vinimates this week?  

Unfortunately, DST has made it clear that the path forward for Minimates is to expect nothing and hope you get surprised.

I agree, I'd rather they announce the line ending and do 2-3 waves of long-requested character than just perpetually feel like the line is on life-support.

Ugh, that Peter Parker looks like it should have shipped with the Speed Racer line.

These Select figs and Vinimates look so good, I don't even care if we aren't getting Minimates.

But guys, Next Gen doesn't have a proven track record of successful merchandising like Kingdom Hearts, Bruce Lee, or Sonic the Hedgehog.

Zach, since the Far From Home costumes were added to the PS4 game, does that allow DST to produce merchandise using those costumes?

Love this wave despite the Miles and lack of accessories.

That won't work, DST's factory is incapable of applying enough glue to a bubble to adhere it to the cardboard.

Yeah, the price disparity between a boxset and a full wave had gotten badly off-balance.  $23-$25 for a usually barebones 4-figure boxset or $35-$40 for a 9-figure wave (including BaF).

I think it's time for DST to re-evaluate their distribution/pricing models, and it's only going to get worse with Chinese tariffs.

Also, if a $120 Real Ghostbusters action figure boxset is acceptable, why wouldn't a $40-$50 Minimates themed boxset?  Basically the equivalent of a con-exclusive wave with extra parts and special packaging.  Just make it something that will stand out at SDCC.
