  1. I usually put my photos like this either in the Wacky Minimates Pics thread or start my own in the Crisis of Multiple Minimates section, but whatever. These are cool. I actually DO get the Jackass joke (Can't stand that show. ) You're photos are very clear...much better than my own attempts.
  2. I can't believe that the toy companies (not just DST) haven't shown us some Scarlett Johanssen/BW goodness yet. I would think that she would be a lot more desirable to fanboys than 20 more Iron Man versions or Pepper (Sorry, Gwyneth...you're cute but I'm just saying...)
  3. Here are Sookie Stackhouse & Bill Compton from True Blood.
  4. Ok...I saw them in TRU and broke down. I only got it because : A. I wanted a Monica Rambeau and, B. DST redeemed itself by releasing the Mohawk Storm. Here are my Inventory pics:
  5. Scarlett is the only Joe I did. However, Here were the Cobra Team: I'll admit, I've been busy and haven't had much time to design these...and I'm suffering from burnout, after doing so many. Maybe, I'll get the minimate design bug, again though. Thanks for asking Maybe, I'll do a Snake Eyes sometime.
  6. So happy about Storm! I've been pretty vocal about wanting this minimate. Thanks, DST. Although they could do another Secret Wars theme with this...they could also use this opportunity to give us some X-villains. Pair Storm up with Pyro, an 80's Rogue with Avalanche, and so on.
  7. Here's my little inventory pics of this set. I always take a pic of each minimate I get and try to make them a little different: Adam Warlock: Drax the Destroyer: Mephisto: Thanos:
  8. You are getting very good at this, jboogie. These look great!
  9. That's so cool. I can't say that I would buy a whole set of "V" minimates (too many civilians), but I would definitely want one like what you made. You kinda encompassed the whole idea of the series in that one little minimate. It's great.
  10. It's a very pale almost yellow orange. It's slightly lighter than the orange they used for Starfire's skin color.
  11. Hannibal Lecter in w/ straight jacket, gurney, & muzzle.
  12. I think they will. Some look better than others. The latest wave of carded figures had good paint jobs IMO. Vision, Warpath and Sunfire all had great paint jobs and if you look at Jean's face as compared to say, Scarlett from G.I. Joe, it's pretty decent for a 3.75 figure. If you look at the detail of these compared to the 3.75 figures I grew up with in the 70's...they're superior IMO.
  13. Well, actually I prefer the Secret Wars winged Captain America & fiery Human Torch over the carded figures. I also thought their Hulk looked better and I hadn't gotten Spidey yet, so it all worked out for me. The only Secret Wars pack I skipped was the Spider-woman/Iron Man one. Anyway, you know how it works...we're always inundated with Spideys, Wolvies, & Iron Men at first, regardless of the toy line. I'm looking foward to these more classic looks in the Secret Wars, & I think people will still buy these upcoming waves. The more modern looks (Thor's new costume, Extremis Iron Man, ect.) are coming out in the carded versions.
  14. I'm staying away from the larger guys... although the upcoming Galactus is awfully tempting. Anyhow...all of the naysayers of this line can kiss my butt. They wanted Marvel Legends to last forever and I just did not have room for those things. After collecting the Toy Biz line for years it was upsetting when they switched gears and changed to the larger scale...now everyone knows how it feels in reverse. Mwahahahaha!!! I can't wait for the next Secret Wars wave with Classic Thor, Enchantress, Mr. Fantastic, Ultron, Classic Hawkeye, & Piledriver.
  15. Sorry, NorthRaider... that came from the Marvel Universe 3.75 BP figure.
  16. His tail is very solid, however; it is a little less articulated than I thought it would be. Still, it's a great, unique-looking 'mate...and Storm looks really great. When you see it in person, you really appreciate the detail put into her. The hair , the cape construction, even the pearl-like sheen are amazing.
  17. I bought 4 of these at the LCBS. (Don't mind getting my x-tra ones from Luke ) Here some of my inventory pics: For Storm, I just photo-manipulated the pic DST already had. Minimates are getting SO detailed. They certainly are evolving.
  18. Right. If I could have DST do any movie it would be Blade Runner. The outfit is aces! Harrison does have extremely short hair in the film though...nothin' a change in hairpiece can't fix. That's the beauty of minimates. Great custom...
  19. By the way, I already bought the X-Force Wolverine from Toys R Us (He came with a Vault Guardsman). I pre-ordered Storm and Panther from Luke...so I guess I'm on the fence about DD & Moon Knight. I may or may not get them at my LCBS.
  20. Despite this being an awesome wave...is anybody really psyched over a Wolverine variant?
  21. Left to Right: Star Trek & Spirit DC Villains X-Men & their Villains Fantastic Four Avengers Various Marvel & DC Characters Teen Titans Justice League & Justice Society Marvel Villains & Silence of the Lambs, Terminator, BSG Lone Wolves like Daredevil & Blade with Misc. minimates like Witchblade.
  22. If anyone is reading the X-titles, they will realize that Selene is the main bad guy in the multi-crossover "Necrosha". This is a good time for her to be added. What's really cool is that they paired her and the Jean as Black Queen with army builders so you don't have to have 2 redundant minimates...and she's a variant anyway. I'm not exactly understanding the hate here. I may whine about not having mohawk Storm yet, but this is a very good wave. Remember, a box set would have only given us 4 X-Men so I'm glad for a whole wave dedicated to them. Lord knows Spidey and Iron Man get them ALL the time. Buuutt the next X-Men wave should look like this :
  23. Jean's a great looking mate and I'm glad she was included. I want the whole wave.
