I didn't realise I'd torn the joy out of the hearts of small children, so thanks for being so magnaminous about it!
While we're at it, can you amend your signature image please. It's too large. Please read the board guidelines. Thanks.
My sig is 240x177, 20 KB. I thought that was in compliance but I guess I'll resize it.

How inconsiderate of me. This thread brought smiles to children's faces. I would hardly deem it pointless, but thanks for putting it where it belongs.

A gremlin ate the other thread, so I started a new one here.

So -- Pete, Robail -- how much work is to get those Lego weapons into 'Mate fists?
I got the idea to switch out the mates hands for Lego ones. Any Lego weapon/accessory is fair game now.

I totally agree Cappy. I just got my brickarms arsenal in and absolutely love them. The guns that do come with the Mates are way to small for my taste as well.

I found this site while searching for 1:24 scale buildings. Looks like some painting and assembly required, but they look good.

Pete is right. Light is key to making a good picture. I prefer natural light but I'm not opposed to shooting under tungsten/fluorescent. Another thing that can make any shot from any camera look good is Photoshop. I almost always do post processing is PS. Another suggestion I should make regarding people using the on board flash on their cameras, is to diffuse it somehow. Either hold a coffee filter or an envelope over the flash to soften it a bit. It takes some experimenting, but you get a not so "washed out" looking shot.

@buttheadsmate,
Yes it is a pretty pricey setup. I was able to get the lens for a good price on ebay. Are you thinking of upgrading to a DSLR?

@hypno,
Thanks a lot. I do spend quite a bit of time with photography. Glad to see it becoming something people get a kick out of.

Threw this together for fun today. Legos and Mates are a harmonious match.

@Pete,Your customs look great. I especially like that Ash. nice work.

The guns are from http://www.brickarms.com/, which I highly recommend!

Here is the 60's Corgi Batmobile to give you an example of 1:24. I have to take their feet off so they fit in there good.
-
Not sure about buildings, but as far as vehicles go look for things in 1:24 scale. While that scale is not perfect I find it more in scale than 1:18.

My bad for the thread necroing. At least no thread necrophilia was committed. That would be really messed up.
