  1. nintendo-3ds-640-1.jpg

The latest handheld from Nintendo has created a hella lot of interest since being shown at E3 last week with power apparantly on par with gamecube/Dreamcast, a huge set of new features (3D screen, Analog slider, ability to save games to internal memory etc..) coupled with a fantastic line up of games both first party and third including:

    Legend of Zelda: OoT remake

    Starfox 3D

    Kid Icarus

    Paper Mario

    Resident Evil

    Street Fighter 4

    Metal gear solid

This has the makings of the greatest console ever

  2. Hey gledzee I may be interested in a few back issues from the clone sage run i'll check which ones i'm missing and let ya know

I read the Astonishing Spider-Man albeit infrequently because as MiniFiend mentioned they are spotty to get. I have all the original Mighty World of Marvels & all the original 1972 -85 run. post-638-1273400669_thumb.jpg This was the first UK Marvel comic ever , 11th February 1967,post-638-1273400642_thumb.jpg & I still have every issue.

Wow some cool stuff you've got there I used to also get Exploits of Spiderman, The complete Spiderman and Spiderman and Zoids

I find W H Smith's are the best bet to pick up MArvel UK comics

  3. Here in the UK we have our own selection of Marvel comicbooks that reprint 3 US issues per Issue they are currently about 18 months behind the US (we are just starting Secret Invasion) but they are catching up quite quick and they plan on being only 6 months nehind in the future, they contain 76 pages, no ads and retail at £2.95 an issue

We currently have 7 titles they are:

Astonishing Spiderman - (this contains both classic and current stories and is the only title that comics out twice a motnh)

Avengers Unconquered - (reprints NA, MA and main crossover stories such as Secret Invasion)

Fantastic Four adventures - (Reprints current both classic and current stories)

Essential X-men - (Reprints a range of current X-men Titles)

Wolverine and Deadpool - (Reprints current Wolverine and Deadpool stories)

Marvel Legends - (Reprints Current Cap.America, Thor and Iron Man)

Mighty World of Marvel - (Reprints a wide range of current Marvel titles and never print the same titles we've seen WWH, Captain Britain, Inhumans, She Hulk, Hercules to name but a few)

Any UK based fans collect these? or any US members ever seen these before?

  4. Cheers for all the replies guys :D

Lots of interesting points raised, I would love for the minimate line to grow and expand into different lines and increase the fanbase I just hope that they also supply enough of each figure to meet demand as when they sell out quick thats where the problem arises for example the Wolverine/Deadpool set is a B***ch to try and find because it seems that they never released enough sets to meet the demand from both minimate fans and Deadpool fans thus having to pay $40+ for them

Another problem I find are store specific exclusives, being from the UK it's not easy getting all the latest mates (although Lukes Toy Store are a MASSIVE help now B) ) so when they release figures only at a specific american store it makes it even harder to track down I try Ebay'but the postage is a killer

Trying not to sound negative now :P I do hope the Mates go from strength to strength as they are one of the better action figure/collectables released in years and the bigger they get the more licences they will aquire

I'm sure DST could find someway to release the mates in the UK perhaps through an online store like Play.com or Amazon.co.uk

  5. So i've been hunting through Ebay trying to fill up holes in my collection and i've noticed that alot of the auctions seem to always have a high amount of bids for instance 1 auction I found had 14 unigue bidders

Now obviously due to this the price of said auction rose to such high amounts that it was out of my budget which is a pain because I really want to fill my collection and after reading through the Ebay thread it seems that other people seem to find the same problem

Are minimates gaining alot more attention more than just a cult-type followng? looking at the front page of MMHQ and seeing minimates being shown on Jimmy Kimel can only help gain more attention for the brand

Now this is a good thing as the more they sell the more characters/series we'll see minimated but on the bad side it will possibily mean they sell out quicker thus making it harder for us to get them at decent prices

    Thoughts?
