  1. ...so i created a new one. Which is the worse of the two?

Anyway, I bought the jean wolvie twopack today. They've had the whole wave for a while, and here's my guess why. This wave has, while accurate, two of the goofiest mates around. Beast looks silly, and Storm is waering mittens. For a long time i didn't buy this wave, but finally broke down a while back and got the storm two pack. Oh well jsut a general gripe/opinion. Minimates are great, mittens are not.

ha, i am planning on buying that last two pack, but only when i'm flush with cash, and only to paint beasts hair pieces into a sweet beard.

  2. I'd like to see a line of Jean Claude Van Damme minimates would be pretty cool. There's a pretty large selection of neat/iconic designs to choose from. I think there'd only be enough for one wave, but one set would be enough. Bigger than a four pack, but not tired and run down. As such here's the potential wave:

    1. In uniform, with space pistol from Timecop.

    2. Shirtless, with tape and glass fist from Kickboxer.

    3. In uniform with eyepiece and rifle from Universal Soldier

    4. In blue shirt, with mullet and grenade, from Hard Target.

Toss a battle damaged varient on each of those numbers, and we got a 10 figure wave of hard hitting minimate action!

I know it'll never be done (way too many licenses, but it'd be a cool way of going about moviemates. An actor, not a movie as a wave.

  3. a fun easy idea would be some sort of alanagram (sp) contest. Darkclaw, Supersoldier....etc. Even less talented folks (like myself) could get in on that.

A generic competion would be cool too. I know I, and others around the site, would pay big bucks for mad scientests, thugs, or soliders. If this is jsut to raise money for charity, and less about the recognition, maybe one of the better customizers could offer up their services to paint like 20 or so minimates into one "thug" design. Then seel the thugs for x amount of dollars. An instant win for the charity. Someone with a good decal printer could whip up quite a few of the same minimates, few said customizer had enough bodies. I'd donate my double to this project.

    sorry for the spelling errors

  4. Dooku v. maul-

I'll answer! My vote is for dooku. As explained in the Expanded universe, Dooku was more of a manilupator(sp), and less the crazed killing machine Maul was. But still no slouch in the lightsaber department, Dooku would out manuver Maul quickly.

Deathstroke. The man can use 98% of his brain, that's the bottom line in my eyes. liek Deathstroke himself said "I'm a goddamn killing machine!" Wade can crack wise all he wants but, again if someone is thinking eight moves ahead, no matter what you do you're going to get countred. I mean Dathstroke took down the whole JLA in about seven panels.

  5. What about Galactus vs. MacGuyver?

That one made me laugh. Now while i'm a big MacGuyver fan, i highly doubt that he could "whip up" an ultimate nullifier. He may be smart, inventive, or whatever, but he's no reed richards. oh yeah, and galactus eats planets.

  6. cap. vs batman-

cap hands down. When it comes to this battle, an all out slugfest, Captain America would win every time. Why? Because cap has no problems killing or using guns. While batman has the nod in terms of training, cap is the pinnicle of human perfection(thanks super soldier serum!), and has no limitation in terms of mowing down fools with a Thompson.

In this kind of fight , any hesitation would mean a loss, and when if came to delivering a killing blow, batman would either hesitate or not land the blow at all, where was call would lop off his head with the shiel (ala baron blood).

  7. Batman, in two seconds. That's about how long it would take for him to figure out Matt Murdok is blind, and has to hear to get around. One flash bang later, and it's over. I don't think it would even take a high tech device either, as he(DD) doesn't ahve the training, or dedication to the job that batman does. DD is a successful lawyer, where as batman can't even convince people he's a playboy.

    Fun topic!

  8. A couple spring to my mind as real sinister-ish:

1: The whole mess with jean loring, killing sue dibney and what not, in my mind sticks out as one of the more shocking events in my lifetime. Realistic and scary, I thought her plan very easily could have succeded, which could be a good hallmark of a great plot.

2:Max Lord using superman as his toy. Like it was said in the comics, he had THE most dangerous weapon on the planet, and as such, had to be killed.

3:and for my third, the as yet unresolved arc in Captain America. Red Skull is back and worse than ever, and his current plot makes all others look trivial in comparison. World Domination says the Skull. Also

    he killed cap.

    Extra credit

74% Luthor. Now that's good enough for me.

  9. hey-

I *thought* it was in wizard, but now i'm thinking it was in one of my wife's entertainment magazines, but regardless.... there's a picture from the Joe movie. Dennis Quaid in uniform, and the little nameplate on his uniform reads Gen. Abernathy. Neat stuff. do what you will with this info multiversers...
