  1. Guess what's back in stock on TRU.com? Sentinel and Taskmaster packs are currently available, get them while they're hot. As of right now there are 142 Sentinel packs and 143 Taskmaster packs available.

Bought and BOUGHT. Given how sucky my local TRU is about getting anything exclusive in a descent manner, this way has helped me quite a lot in terms of acquiring their exclusive minimates.

Now hopefully the next ones with characters like Kingpin, Boom-Boom, Richter and so on will be easy to get online...

  2. With a Wolverine one already out for a while and a Venom and Hulk Through the Ages set coming, I thought it'd be an interesting topic to bring up...

What character would you like to see get a Through the Ages set?

I'd like to see an Iceman one myself given he's one of my favorite X-Men members.

    Age of Apocalypse Iceman

    De-Iced 90s Iceman

    Ultimate Iceman

Uncanny X-Men Iceman (where he wore shades and a trenchcoat)

  3. Awsome, add in the armoured psylocke and havok for the full roster and one of my favorite X-Men incarnations is complete, which lead to me thinking up some more army builders that we haven't had yet, genoshan guards and smileys!

At least a new Havok coming means the old one can be retired... I'd kind of forgotten we had gotten Psylocke in her armored look a while back given my default version is generally the 90s/Jim Lee one.

Seriously, it's waves like this one that remind me why I collect Marvel Minimates for all my Marvel wants after selling all my Marvel Legends and gave up on Universe.

  4. I am so going to have these if just to have that updated 90s Colossus that converts into Outback Colossus... Heck, I'll probably be buying two just to have both teams complete at once.

And of course to have Longshot and Dazzler at last. XD I was thinking if we ever got Dazzler it'd be her disco look or something first.

  5. I'm just happy to be getting a Dazzler and Longshot at last as well as a Colossus that can be made into a 90s Colossus to help complete the 90s X-Men team. Of course, it means I'll have to buy two Colossus now to have one from that team as well as the Austrailian X-Men team. Also a Brood army builder!? Awesome!

Now as someone mentioned we just need some more X-Villains... Pyro, Toad, Avalanche, Mastermind, and proper 616 Blob, maybe an updated Mystique and bulked up Apocalypse... Morlocks...

We still could use a Forge and Banshee for our X-Teams as well.

  6. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU, DST!!!

At last a 90s Colossus that is interchangeable with Austrailia X-Men Colossus!? A bulked up Rhino! Dazzler and Longshot! Brood army builder with variant Wolverine! A new Havok and Storm! And is that...Vindicator!? So much...WANT!

Now only a 90s Forge and a Banshee (90s/classic) and I'll be fully satisfied with my X-Men minimates. And here's to hopefully seeing more Alpha Flight. Man, so much stuff coming I'm wanting to buy, my poor, poor wallet.

  7. What Mystery said, plus

    - you actually got a guarenteed number of figures per year, unlike MotU's "subscription" where you pay for the privalage of racing your fellow subscribers in a mad dash for the too small supply. If I pay a premium fee, I expect premium service.

    - to that end, if you, like Mystery, want multiples of a figure, you should specify that up front. Maybe, there's an additional charge up front for buying multiples. Like maybe $40 for the subscription, and $20 per additional set of figures. (yes I know that's too low a price, but this just an example) That way if DST is not stuck with extra figures and doesn't feel they are losing money on the deal.

Well, again, using Hasbro and the G.I.Joe as an example... They have shown all but one of the 13 figures they're offering for the subscription next year, wanting to keep the 13th figure a surprise, so compared to Mattel that is a nice thing they've done for those on the fence on if they're going to jump on their sub. Though as others have pointed out, the subscriptions are pricey. I don't recall the price for the G.I.joe sub per figure or anything, but I know it was a bit more than retail would be.

    Ah, well...

  8. It's been brought up many times in the past, and DST has always declined the idea. It takes a lot of manpower to run something like this; it's not simply a matter of "wow, lots of people say they want to give us their money." It's essentially creating a new business attached to the current one, and DST as a company is comparatively tiny next to Hasbro and Mattel.

I figured. I'd just think it was an interesting thought given how so many toylines are going 'subscription' lately. Would be cool if a few exclusive boxset thru DST themselves happened though.

  9. So I just got to thinking here... Mattel has the Masters of the Universe and Voltron as subscription toylines. Hasbro will be unleashing a G.I.Joe version soon as well...

If DST were to join in on this whole 'toy subscription' thing, would you guys go for it? Obviously I don't work for DST and can't speak for them, but if this were to somehow happen...

I just notice with Hasbro's G.I.Joe subscription coming up that the figures they've shown for the most part are fan demanded characters (Cover Girl, Jinx, Big Boa). Ones people have wanted to see new figures of for a long time along with some people may not have had interest in so much.

People on here are always asking about new Marvel Minimates of characters (ex: Kang, Wrecking Crew) that aren't getting put into the line...this would be a pretty good idea for how to get those desired, yet apparently not 'good enough for retail shelves' figures people have long wanted.

What say you fellow MM fans?

  10. Saw all but the Crossbones/SW Cap today at TRU surprisingly as only a few weeks ago did they finally get in wave 11. Fortunately, I already got my TRU order of the exclusives sets yesterday in the mail.

  11. Bought! Now I don't have a reason to go back to TRU thankfully until after the holidays have blown over...or if someone finds that Mortal Kombat 4 inch figures ninja 6-pack (Sub-Zero, Reptile, Noob Saibot, Smoke, Ermac, and Rain) I'm being looking for that has only been seen in TRU stores....

  12. Honestly...the MvC3 minimates sold pretty well here in my local TRU in Minnesota when they first popped on shelves, but since they got their second shipment in, none have moved. >_O

My TRU has quite a lot of leftover minimates from the past two Marvel Minimates waves, the second wave of Universal Monsters, Real Ghostbusters, HALO, and a ton of Playstation and those Pirates minimates clogging the shelves... It makes me worried that eventually they won't get anymore because there'll be no room.

  13. I'm happy to see more New Mutants and 90s X-Force team members...

If we can get a 90s Colossus and Forge, and maybe a Banshee with a classic costume Banshee as a variant, that would make me a happy camper as those guys are the only ones needed to complete the 90s Blue/Gold X-Men teams of the 90s. The fact we haven't gotten them yet given the time where for a few waves we were getting a lot of 90s X-Men in them is surprising.

Heck, we've completed the Excalibur team, and are going to close to completing 90s X-Force as well... Maybe we should get 90s X-Factor to complete the whole 90s X-related theme. XD

  14. Pretty sure after eyeballing the entire case that my LCS got, that the Hulk I ended up with has two unique hip covers.

My MvC3 Hulk, however, does not. <_<

My MvC3 Hulk has the proper hip covers, I actually have two in fact due to buying a second pack because my first Haggar broke actually.

...Though I'd prefer the wave 41 one to have proper hip covers as well... Maybe DST will give me a replacement...what is the link to them for asking on figures missing pieces and stuff?

  15. So..is it a widespread QC problem with the Hulk having two right upper leg attachments on it?

I notice on even the Minimate Database that the Hulk shown there has this problem.

It's not a big deal, but it is noticeable. Would DST even send a replacement part for this issue?

  16. It will be interesting to see if they eventually list more. If not, someone seriously underestimated the demand for a boxset with all new characters. (I don't count the statue.)

Figures, too. Right when I was going to order a set. >_> They better get more. My local TRU never gets the 4-packs in. They still have yet to get the Marvel Minimates wave with Psylocke/Nightcrawler and Fantomex/Mr. Negative....

  17. Found these at TRU this morning. Since it was mentioned earlier, here's a comparison of MvC Hulk and Wave 41 Hulk:

    HulkVsHulk.jpg

Is Hulk supposed to come with a piece to raise his torso like modern Thor, Thing, or Juggernaut? Mine had his torso down covering his belt buckle, but in your pic it's showing.

  18. Local TRU near me restocked the series 2 sets as the first time they got them in, all but two Dracula and one Bride of Frankenstein set were left over. Bought Frankenstein's Monster/Dr. Henry Frankenstein set. Just need to buy the Bride one and I'm caught up.

I hope we at least get the Mummy to complete the 'Core' UM cast. As far as I'm concerned: Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, the Wolfman, the Mummy, and the Gillman (Creature from Black Lagoon)are the big focus.

  19. Found these guys today at TRU and bought one of each. My Hulk has the correct leg pieces, which is cool as I was reading people were having issues with him having two left upper leg parts or something earlier...

Unfortunately, my Iron Man's helmet tampo is WAY off center. I couldn't see it given it was hidden in the packaging and backwards, which sucks. T_T

Also, my Deadpool's left hand snapped off when I tried to turn it as it was one backwards. I superglued it back on, but that was a bummer too, but not a big one given I have like THREE other Deadpools as it is.

  20. Nessex, was it not you that came up with that dreamlist? Doc Samson/Rick Jones?Twinkie.jpg Greatest universe filling ever.

So... attempting to get back on topic. I'm kind of happy to have to pick up two of the upcoming Daredevils. One I can modify with boots and gloves and the other can stay normal. I don't have a whole lot of faith in my customizing skills even when it only involves a sharpie, so having the back up will be nice. With X-Force... we still need Warpath, Sunspot, and Siryn. Anyone else needed to complete that team? Maybe Caliban? I really do despise Liefeld (seriously, if anything ever happens to me, I want one of you guys to make sure my son knows that Liefeld sucks), but his X-Force team looks really cool as toys. There. I said it.

I think what you listed for X-Force about covers it. 90s X-Men as I mentioned before just needs a Colossus (beefed up if possible), Forge, and maybe a Banshee. I kind of wonder if 90s X-Factor will see the light of day maybe at some point to complete the 90s X-related stuff.

  21. An updated/bulked up Kingpin is awesome!

And more 90s X-Force (basically just missing Warpath at this point) and the remaining members of the New Mutants are being made!? Cool. Please, Please, PLEASE DST, make a bulked up 90s Colossus and a Forge to finish the Blue/Gold teams for the 90s X-Men as well.

Banshee would be cool too, but I think he could be put into the regular comic shop waves with his classic costume and a variant version of his 90s costume...

I wonder if 90s X-Factor would ever be a possibility as well...
