  1. The Manchester store carries a decent selection too. Doesn't seem to be any kind of pattern to what they receive though.
  2. Great work, Sersi has to be my favourite. The parts work really well for her. nice choice on the new BW hair too.
  3. Nice work. Love how colourful your customs are too. I think these are the first Rusty/Skids customs I have seen!
  4. I am a little late to the party, but I love that Hulkling!
  5. Thanks everyone, much appreciated. @squall: Yes, they are water-slide decals. I haven't tried sticker paper but have considered it. I like the finish of the decal paper though. I have recently finished another DC custom. Here's Atrocitus. I used Juggernaut boots and Hulk chest and hands. The shoulder pads started out as a Wave 1 Kingpin jacket, cut in half and with a lot of sculpt.
  6. Also looking for board members who play on facebook, mainly for Group boss assistance during Spec Ops!
  7. Awesome work as always! Congrats to all the winners. Looking forward to the last batch!
  8. Thanks! I managed to finish the team earlier. Here's the line up completed. I'm not 100% happy with a couple of details but I can live with them for now. I also finished a couple more DC commissions. Here's Murr the Melting Man: Lyssa Drak with the Book of Parallax:
  9. Thanks everyone. I have almost finished the DC set I am working on at the minute, should have pictures soon. @emperorshotz: Thanks for the comments about the decals. If you look back through my thread it has been a long process slowly improving my applications of them. It's rare that I am happy with a decal the first time I apply it. I usually print off a bunch so I have plenty in reserve. I'm no expert but PM me if there are any questions you think I may be able to help with. I have been able to make a few customs for myself alongside the DC commissions. I'm currently working on some Academy X customs and have almost finished the team, but here are the first three for now. Icarus has SFxT Ken head and hair. Wind Dancer has a MvC X-23 head and SM3 Gwen hair, modified Phoenix belt. Surge has a MvC Chun Li head and Marrina hair. Her gauntlets are from TRU 14 Iron Man. I have Prodigy, Wallflower and Elixir on the work bench, hope to finish them tomorrow. Thanks for looking!
  10. Excellent work! Even more impressive considering these are your first customs.
  11. Thanks for the positive comments on Brother Warth. I have had a blitz on commissions this week, trying to complete some. Here are two completed commissions to go with Warth. Arisia Rrab is based on her appearance in Green Lantern: First Flight. She has a modified ASM Gwen hairpiece, Meggan head and a Thor skirt piece. Soranik Natu is a simple mate with decals and Jigsaw hair. I should have a few more DC commissions completed this week to finish the set.
  12. Blob is just perfect. Great choices of head and hair.
  13. I'd like to be in this year. Haven't contributed before.
  14. Really creative use of parts. I love that you made some Marauders. What legs did you us for Vertigo? Keep up the good work!
  15. Great work! Love the Red Jean and the jacketed Firestar especially. Nice use of Crimson Viper's head.
  16. Thanks everyone. I started Warth last year and was hoping to finish him back in December as my entry for the DC category of Bob's customs awards, but I ran into some last minute troubles. Even today when I finally put the head on it cracked his chest piece so I had to glue and re-sculpt over the cracks. He is pretty sturdy now but I will be glad when he gets to his destination in one piece. @Hawkeye's Junk: Just the one at the minute I am afraid! I'd be open to another at some point in the future though.
  17. Thanks Bob and emperorshotz! He has taken me a long time to finish and at one point I wasn't sure if he would work out, but I am happy to complete him.
  18. Thanks for all the positive comments, much appreciated. I have been trying to complete this commission for a long time and have finally finished it today. It's probably the trickiest custom I have made so far due to the amount of sculpting needed. Brother Warth is made from a combination of Hulk and Kingpin parts.
  19. Simply amazing, as always! Thanks for all your hard work.
  20. Thanks boyd! @emperorshotz: Go for it. I have a Nightmare custom in the works too. I was thinking of using the wings from the second Femme Fatale set, but now I am thinking the new ones from Annihilus might be better suited. I have finished Revenant today to complete the Force Warriors. I was originally going with a Magma body but it didn't look right posed on the Phoenix base. I went for a Nova body instead with a decal over the chest. I have also completed some Hanna Barbera commissions. First up are Debbie, Mark and Tinker from Speed Buggy. I have to admit, i didn't know the cartoon before making these but I was given plenty of reference pictures to work with. They are mainly paint and decals with a little sculpt on Tinker's and Debbie's hair. The next set of Hanna Barbera commissions are from a cartoon I do remember as a child. The Teen Angels are relatively simple with minimal sculpt. Captain Caveman started out as a GB Slimer which was provided for me to work with. I can't take credit for the original idea! His feet and cape are sculpted, his whiskers are very thin wire. The club comes from the second Thundercats set.
  21. Managed to finish Hellion and Stand-Off from the Force Warriors today. I swapped around some parts for Legion and gave him a new head and chest, so Hellion uses the head and chest I originally used for Legion. I will post Legion updated when I finish Revenant. Hellion has Baltar BSG hair I think, and random BSG legs. His arms are from Invisible Woman and gauntlets are from MVC Iron Man. The shoulder armour is trimmed from Indiemates Dawn and glued to his shoulders. He has a clear decal placed over a Namor chest. Stand-Off (Uniscione from the Acolytes) has X-Force Psylocke hiar and an X-23 head. I realised I missed the little "x" scar on her face so I will add it at some point. Her shoulder plated are trimmed from Indiemates Dawn's wristbands and glued to her shoulders. I wanted to originally use Magik's shoulder plates but they looked too bulky. She loses a little articulation in the arms but I like the look better this way. The rest of the details are decals. Hope to have Revenant finished soon. Thanks for looking!
  22. Thanks for the kind words! I agree, some of the costumes from Age Of X weren't great. Hopefully I will choose some more that you are a fan of. For Revenant I was thinking of using a spare Magma body with a simple decal for the Phoenix symbol, should be relatively simple!
