  1. When I found mine at Bloomingdale, there was only 3 sets, I grabbed my one, and then I haven't seen them anywhere else since. But like I mentioned, I keep seeing more and more Homecoming packs showing up at Bloomingdale, hence my theory.

  2. I've bought from him for customs parts, because it's been more readily available than here (haven't tried the FB groups yet though), and less expensive than tracking them down from other sellers on eBay.

My beef is don't buy all of them so people going to stores for themselves, not to resell, can't. Let me get mine & help out some board members if I need to, then do whatever the heck you want.

  3. The pic PL posted is the CG designs drawn in 2D (they did have different bodies - the Playmates figures were pretty faithful in that aspect - I expect Minimates didn't because of tooling budget). I would be on board with that, because that art style looks great to me.

The leaked designs designs Nick released are garbage. I prefer stylized, but those are too stylized. What I heard is Genndy isn't involved (because I honestly think they would look better, even in those same awful designs - I love his style, especially Clone Wars - I wish the CG series had been animated like that), but another producer from Samurai Jack.

I kinda dig the idea of making them different species of turtles (though that means they can't be literal brothers - plus, would a pet store sell 4 different turtles in the same container? I know you can't do that with a lot of types of fish without them fighting each other), and the kiddifying of the weapons (though not Leo's - "instead of two, let's give him one really long one") is expected if they're aiming for a younger audience, and April's been African American in the comics a lot so that's fine (but because of that, this isn't "the first time it's been done!" like the article I read tried to boast), but that Splinter pissed me off. Holy crap, does he suck. WTF. Every Splinter has looked different, so I don't have a problem with a new take, but seriously, WTF is that!?

I'm still bummed TMNT got axed.

I don't cherry pick Minimates. I get them all, whether I'm interested in the property or not. I just love these figures that much. "Disappointment" with any Minimates for me is a very low, minimal thing, that doesn't affect my purchasing in the slightest.

But having been THE building block of my childhood, I'm super heartbroken that the 80's Turtles were cancelled. :(

  5. Let me ask this - are people who aren't seeing this in their stores (or no re-stocks for those of us who managed to find them), seeing an overabundance of Spider-Man Homecoming packs?

Because remember how these wouldn't scan for those of us who found them, and the cashiers just ended up resorting to using the Homecoming SKU to ring them up?

Because I keep looking for other board members, and haven't seen them since I bought mine, but I'm seeing the Homecoming packs multiplying every time I check.

There might be a problem at the distribution center. Zach might need to look into it, or at least get someone whose job it is to look into it (since I doubt it's his).

  6. Who's into the show enough to collect some (or all) of the toys?

I just started the show a few weeks ago, and I love it. I got the replica portal gun in my Pile of Loot at BBTS along with some of the McFarlane building sets (Scary Terry, Krombopulos Michael, and Ants in My Eyes Johnson), snagged a Pint Size Snowball & flocked con exclusive Funko Pop Snowball (he's totally my favorite character, despite only being in one episode - so far, I'm only halfway through season 3 right now) off eBay, and grabbed the Funko action figure of Mr. Poopy Butthole (with Snowball's build-a-figure piece) & a Mystery Mini (which turned out to be Squanchy!) on my way to work this morning. I plan to get more, but as probably all of you know, adding in a new line into your current toy budget isn't easy, so I'm going to have to go slowly.

No pics yet since I'm at work (though I suppose I could take pics of the figures I just got this morning), but feel free to share your own!

Is that accurate, though? I thought comic book morph was an alien and cartoon Morph was a mutant

Everything I found yesterday when this first came up was that Cartoon Morph was eventually revealed to actually be Kevin Sydney/Changeling (and apparently had some homages to Changeling in his character development in the show), and that the Exiles & AoA versions are Kevin as well (heck, I remember dialogue from AoA Astonishing where Rogue & Magneto I think are joking about his "awful purple headgear when he went by 'Changeling'").

  8. I love JRJr's art, but the story was definitely lackluster.

And yes, I meant the original as well, which they made the animated movie from, and kinda sorta adapted for Thor Ragnarok.
