  1. First off, thanks for taking the time to answer our questions. Its really appreciated.

    1) Have you guys looked into Resident Evil? Its a successful game series with a highly anticipated new game in the works and thanks to the movies (with rumor of another one coming) its pretty well known in the mainstream; and personally I would love minimates based off it. Please? ;)

    2) How about the Universal Monsters? Well-known, iconic, and, for the most part, simple. They would also be great.

    3) With DC Direct quiting on DC Minimates, is there a way for you guys to get the rights for the DC movies? I figure they might be easier and cheaper than the whole DC Comics liscense, plus a number of characters are represented, such as Superman, Batman, Swamp Thing and Watchmen.

    4) Any chance of seeing Planet of the Apes minimates? Does there seem to be enough interest in the retro figures to warrant them? Another classic movie that I would love to see minimated.

    5) Oh and I'll show my support for Princess Bride minimates too.

  2. Give us the Zombie FF and leave well enough alone. That's pretty much all we need of zombies.

    Why do people presume to speak for others? Because I definitely want more zombies than that;

Firelord, Gladiator, Phoenix, old man Black Panther, Wasp in robotic body, Hawkeye (good excuse to reuse all those new molded pieces), new Wolverine (as seen in MZ2), plus with MZ3 coming out, there's bound to be more.

Oh yeah, I defitnitely want more zombies.

  3. A quote from the DC boards...

The key is that it's not just what fans ask for, it's what retailers ask for. So, folks need to tell the stores they order DC MiniMates from to tell DC Direct (or Diamond, depending on where they order from) that you want more DC MiniMates. Even get into specifics of what DC MiniMates you want to see. Yes, fans are listened to, but retailers are HEARD.

Maybe we can get Xybot from Stuckakid and Joel from BBTS, as well as any other online stores, to do the same?

  4. Don't worry i got my defenders from my lcs i'm sure they'll get this set too

i can't belive how many cool minimate product's this year

but i'm thinking the only marvel minimate that we've seen but has not been in a set is that unmasked green goblin, maybe afx willl do him as an exclusive!

but i'm liking these "themed boxes" their doing maybe @ the end of the year we'll get a world war hulk box set :)

    **UPDATE!!**

just got an e-mail from my lcs who have just heard from afx

these will be a New York Comic-Con exclusive (April 18-20) at the Javits Center then avaliable online after that for us people unable to get to the con!!

Does this mean that they will first be available for preorder at NYCC, then put on the website to preorder like the Defenders boxset? (first preorders taken at SDCC, then put up on AFX in August to be released in November)

Or will they be available for purchase at NYCC and then put up for purchase at the website? Meaning they will be released in April instead of put up to order in April and released later? Inquiring minds need to know!

  5. Say it isn't so! According to the last Q&A, you're not going to be doing anymore zombie mates? Not even with the release of Marvel Zombies 2? But what about my dream of owning a zombie Firelord!?!

How about Age of Apocalypse mates? Have any characters been taken into consideration?

How is the Rocky boxset selling? Are things looking good enough to see boxsets based on III and IV?

Thanks for taking the time to answer our questions. You guys are awesome.

  6. So dockingbay97,

What's under Boomer's jacket? I can see what appears to be flesh-colored paint through the opening at the top. Starbuck and Apollo just have green there. So what's she wearing underneath the jacket? An undershirt? Or is it the coveted topless chest block? :P

It's a regular green chest block, but with paint at the neck. I guess you can pretend its a really dull shirt. :P

  7. I know that many of you have been wondering about the date reshuffling and not-yet-here Star Trek and BSG mates, but something I was told recently may be the real culprit, or at least one of the biggest factors. At the end of June, early July there was a huge backlog at the major Chinese ports. Because of the high volume, exports were going out considerably slower than normal.

This may have affected the Star Trek and BSG mates from coming out on time. Just wanted to let you guys know before anyone started calling for pitchforks and torches on poor DST
