  1. There are some amazing customs out there. I've been stocking up parts for a Bazooka (My favorite of the 3 3/4" figures) and a Wet-Suit. I've also planned out a set of the Cobra Twins, and a Crimson Guardsman. I'd also like to do some Dreadknocks and a Scarlett (Doesn't look like they're going to make the females in this line). I've still got some Minis to do for some people, then I'm hoping to get started on some of these and take a break on the Minis for a bit...

  2. Anybody else out there getting these? I held out forever, then i found the SkyB.A.T. I giddily bought him, brought him home, and then pestered my wife telling her how incredibly cool these things were. That was about a month and a half ago. Since then, I've managed to bring home every single one of these guys. Including more of the incredible SkyB.A.T. (I had to give my wife the big sob story about how I always wanted more Stormtroopers when I was little, but my mom said that I already had one, and didn't need another...)

    Anybody else collect them?

  3. I liked the movie. I thought that it was a good end to the trilogy. The bit at the end was totally not worth sticking around for (I had it figured out by my mid-movie pee break). But there were enough little things in there that made the movie interesting for me:

    - Fully iced-up Ice Man

    - Collosus carrying the tv down the hall

    - Kitty (She was LITTLE)

We know there won't be an X4, but a New Mutants movie would be sooo cool.

  4. The crazy thing is that the pictures on the box are much bigger than the actual MaxiMate. It was almost disappointing to see the size of the actual statue once the box was open.

Eight inches seems much bigger until you're actually holding it in your hand.

    I know that sounds dirty...

  5. I'm still in transition with my collection. Everything's out (excpet for the LOTR - I've never really felt the "Need" to show those for some reason), but I've got some sweet new shelves made that I need to get around to putting up. Just haven't wanted to take the time to take the whole thing down to make room. The wife's out of town next weekend, maybe I'll get around to it then...

  6. What drew me from lurking at AA was the people that were there. Luke, Timbo, Ady... All of you guys seemed like such a cool group of people that I felt I needed to get in on it. Over time, I came to actually feel like a part of something pretty cool. I lurk on several other boards, but rarely post, just because it doesn't have the same feel as the old AA group.

I guess I'm a bit of a follower. If everyone else goes back, I will as well. For me, it's all about the people there, not the URL.

  7. That's a really tough question. Usually every time I see a movie, I think it's the best thing ever...

In a pinch, I'd have to say that my all time favorite is The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across The Eight Dimension. There's so much greatness about this movie, that still, 20 some years later, I love it!

  8. Man, I've been wondering about this one myself.

The wife and I devoured the first two boxsets the week before the second part of season two started showing. The one thing I hated about it was the horrible quality of my cable feed. Same thing with Lost. I can't wait for the DVD collections to come out so that I can watch the shows and not be distracted by the snow.

I guess that they're going to make us wait a little bit longer for the second part of season two. Three doesn't start up for another five months, so I'm guessing it'll be a couple weeks before then, which sucks. I loved that they put out the first part of Season two by itself. I hate having to wait a year before the DVD's come out. Six months wouldn't be too bad... but that would put it out in June (Which it is) and there isn't any kind of news about the release yet.

  9. I stumbled across a couple episodes of this on Nic this morning. Had to pick up the DVD's this evening. I think it's pretty cool for an original American show that's not on Cartoon Network. So far, I've watched the first DVD and am half way through the second. It is a truly enjoyable show. Anyone else watch it?
