I'd probably watch more cooking channels if they used flame throwers more often.

I saw the singles at stuckakid and battlestaronline.com too. Problem is that the Sixes are the hardest to get - everone is sold out of 'em and the dead one sells for a premium.
When did you order them from youbuynow? I ordered them as singles from the same site and haven't heard a thing...
I placed the order on April 1.
I e-mailed at the end of last week (the Friday after they landed) and they were in the process of shipping. I think they hit the mail on Tuesday and I got them this past Thursday.

Well, considering the smaller production run, and the many accessories that come with it, that price seems close to about right. Maybe a little on the high side, but I'd pay it to get one.

Well - this should not have come as a surprise, nor should AFX sticking it to you on the shipping.
Though they sometimes seem to get things sooner than other places, I don't know how many times that they've sent me a shipping notice with an invalid tracking # or taken their time getting something in the mail.
The Fistful of Dollars was the last set I ordered there - I started going to BBTS or Sci Fi Genre for all the more recent stuff

I'm really only interested in the Dead Six variant. Is the only place to buy the single figures Youbuynow and eBay? My comics shop said that they weren't getting these.

anyone heard anything on the fistful of dollars mates this week at all?
Nothing in Previews New Releases.... if you noticed the package in the SDCC pics, release states August 2008.
Unfortunately the LCS near me that sold minimates went out of business. The others rarely orders minimates except for comic-related licenses so I've got no one to ask.

When you put it that way - maybe we're at critical mass with the Iron Man mates.... esp with the upcoming & unreleased stuff.

I would have liked to see some news on a new license or maybe some new BSG.... Sadly, of all the stuff that was discussed or shown, the Cake guy is the most exciting, largely because of the cool accessories.
Not that the comic stuff isn't cool, but it's just not my thing

For what it's worth, note that it's branded with Charm City Cakes, not Ace of Cakes. This indicates to me that Food Network is not involved in this in any way. (Which gels with the tale that TBT told.)
At the very least, they can sell to us MiniMate fans. :-)
They have a merchandise link on their website with shirts & hats. Perhaps we'll see them there?????

Well in that case damned it all to heck what the carp are they going to do with these little buggers!!!
I imagine that DST wouldn't be parading them in front of all-kinds of prospective buyers at SDCC if they thought they were not going to be availalbe at some retail level.
Most everything that DST shows at these types of trade shows and conventions is with the intent to generate retail and distributor interest. Unless it's something that flatlines due to lack of interest like the 3rd season of 24 or the BSG vehicles etc. then I don't think it makes sense to show the product off just for the sake of show.
ANd anyway... Just imagine all the grief DST Matt & Chuck would take in the next six or eight Q&A's if they just dangled this product as a teaser.... people still haven't gotten the BSG ships or SF2 worked out of their system

I can't wait to get me hands on them.
What kinds of accessories were packaged with them?
5 daggers (w peg hole to attach to the sash) and 2 phasers.
Thanks - sounds like a good choice of accessories, but I was hoping for an Agonizer too

Dang, the case with the gold Cylon is fifty dollars. I'll just wait and get him on eBay if anybody throws him up for grabs. But the Razor 5 Pack on Action Figure Express is fine for now. The new Adama looks pretty nice. But I can't help but notice on the description for it(On Action Figure Express), it claims the set has a "gold plated Cylon commander". The picture clearly doesn't show one. Is this just an error, or am I actually getting the Commander with it?
Oh, and thanks rsprin. I'm going with your advice. Chances are I wont find a store that'll have them. I called Suncoast and they just said they get them whenever they get them. What a great answer.

I just checked and it looks like most of the set has been sold out. There's only 1 or 2 of that you can still buy.
On another note, I got my Razor boxset today - these are a really nice set. I'm hoping that we get some BSG-Minimate love at SDCC. I know everyone is excited about all the cool Marvel stuff, but give me some more of the human cylons over a skrull any day of the week.

They're due out next week according to the DST website.
We all know that the west-coasters sometime see product a week early (like Razor and SOTL) but that is usally limited to the western states. These are allegedly in Michigan.
I suppose it's possible that he has them, but I doubt it. I'd think someone here would have stumbled across a set if they were actually out.
My bet is that he's selling a pre-order as instock and gambling that they'll be on time. It's not the first time someone has tried to pull that one off.
Afterall, if you were the first one to throw this onto the market, you think that you'd offer something other than the stock DST art to sell it as proof that they were in hand??

looks like DST updated their site to show both BSG sets as releasing 7/30 along w. Fistful of Dollars.
ST: Mirror-Mirror still shows overdue at 6/15.

This is the first time I've seen it. Here is a blown up, but blurry pic:
That Tony has a different outfit than the other movie version announced, and red sunglasses, obviously. His facial expression seems the same, so it could just be an alternate hairpiece. . .but an alternate chestpiece, too?
That Iron Monger looks much the same, but the Iron Man with wings? I don't know what that is about, but other than that, he looks essentially the same as the previous shown version. So, as with Tony, this could just be an alternate feature to the previously shown toy.
But the bald lady (the skirt suggests a woman)? I have no idea who this is. Moondragon with a kerchief? How could this be anything other than another figure? Even the arms appear different than Pepper Pots.
They don't look different enough to be part of another wave of Iron Man movie figures, but maybe they are? Could this be another 4-pack of some kind? I hope that the prototypes shown at SDCC aren't these, though.
I was thinking that it might be the mystery prototype set that AFX has announced for SDCC

I don't follow Iron Man or a lot of the comic-based minimates very closely.
I noticed a set at AFX that I didn't recognize as one of the AFX exclusives for SDCC or otherwise.
Can someone tell me who the characters are in the set pictures in the upper left of AFX Exclusives page

My kids have Wii and Gamcube games, but I prefer First-Person shooter games on the PC.
I just finished Stalker, Shadow of Chernobyl which is pretty complex and has lots of levels.
I've also finished Quake 4 and Medal of Honor Allied Assault which were both pretty fun
I'm looking for similar games - anyone have any suggestions?

I picked up the Indiana Jones Mighty Muggs yesterday at TRU - He's pretty cool with removable hat & whip.
They also had the Cairo Swordsman and Molo Ram, who comes with a flaming heart.
I hear that there's already another wave planned.

Jaws would make a cool boxset - I'm thinking the assortment would go something like this:
Chief Brody w/ pistol and either scuba tank OR chum bucket
Matt Hooper with "Shark Dart"
Quint (military jacket & cap version from the early part of the movie) w/ rifle & yellow shark barrel
Mayor Larry w/ gaudy nautical sportcoat (the one with the little anchors on it)
I'd really like to see a set with "Bruce", but I know a giant shark would be too much to ask
For an exclusive how about Chief Brody in his cop uniform w/ pistol and Hooper in scuba gear

The Diamond Ship list shows ST Wave 4 bumped up 3 weeks to Wednesday and Fistful of Dollars pushed back to the 27th according to the DST website.
Hopefully we'll see an even flow of mates thru November with Good Bad & Ugly, ST Wave 5, Rocky 3, Desperately Seeking Susan, Platoon and that cooking guy. On top of that, there's the Marvel stuff.
