Hey Zach, I understand you can not speak about what is in the box set that will be announced "later" but can you tell us why it can't be talked about yet? I don't know a lot about this industry so with the movie out and the LCS/TRU waves hitting in the next week or so, it makes me curious why the rest can not be known.

Zach, can we at least find out which retailer will be carrying this box set? That, right now, is more of a concerning an intriguing aspect to me even than what is in the set.

It is easy to be a fan because minimates always win. It's only hard waiting for the next big reveal!

I seriously started out with only a mild interest in the iron patriot mate. Now I know that I'm gonna end up buying every single one of these...funny how that happens.

It's called addiction.. beautiful, sweet addiction.

Funny - i always kinda took the Mark V to be the movie-verses 'Silver Centurion' armour. Still - this guy looks good too.

I might be in the minority, but i'm most excited for the Skeleton Armour. Although - Mark V was my fave from the last movie assortment, so perhaps it's to be expected. Despite being a bit of a parts re-use figure, the new colour scheme really makes him pop.

All 3 are FANTASTIC!!! Even though my wish was for Igor and Gemini.. I honestly love just about every armor that has been shown in the trailer.. so I am just happy we are getting so many armors.. After this I will have to make a movie hall of armor and a comic hall of armor.

Sweet! Can not wait to see that Gemeni Armor! Igor is going to look awesome too!

I'm assuming the extended box set will be a TRU exclusive.

As with many things, I expect the contents of the set to be dictated by price point. That's kind of a "chicken or the egg" kind of question when it comes to collectors. I could ask, "How much are you willing to pay?" and most would reply, "What am I getting?" So the question really becomes, "What price point does TRU think they can hit successfully?"

TRU's Minimates exclusives range from $7.50 2-packs to $25 vehicles with three 'mates. Given how the Halo Warthogs have done, I don't see TRU going higher than $25. That's about six entirely new Minimates in a single (hopefully kick-ass) package.

According to my Magic 8-Ball™, we can expect:

Nightclub Armor (Mark 16)

Striker Armor (Mark 25)

Silver Centurion Armor (Mark 33)

Redsnapper Armor (Mark 35)

Igor Armor (Mark 38)

Gemini Armor (Mark 39)

I'm hoping to see a second exclusive offered since there are more where that came from.

If you are close to correct on your extended box set prediction.. I will be buying these up like crazy! Gemini & Igor would be SWEET minimated.. and actually.. I have loved all of the movie armors so bring anything on!!

I'm guessing, or rather hoping, that TRU Tony is the Tony we're seeing everywhere, with the techy black-and-grey t-shirt and headset. Love that look, it'll replace Stark Expo Tony as my go-to figure if that's the case.

I am hoping for a whole unique box set of embargoed armors. I am such a sucker for Iron Man armors.. I will continue to buy multiples of every one they make!!

Great reminder of how ridiculously superior Minimate mini-figures are over Lego. And I agree with Zach.. I miss C3.. The full size Batmobile and Batwing were pretty much building brick perfection.

I loved the Borders Book store variants.. I'm hoping that more than one specialty store orders exclusive armors so we can see as many unique ones as possible.

Not sure when we'll be revealing the box set. Or the TRU figures. There are still some embargos in place for when we're allowed to show some items. Closer to the movie than you might think. Once I confirm some dates, I should be able to show a couple more next week.

Somewhere in a warehouse in America sits cases of new Minimates exclusives. Untouched and unsoiled by this wicked world. If the world descended into a zombie apocalypse overnight tonight, I would have my first quest.

I would think that DST's offices would yield even more treasures!

Diamond Comic Distributors (our sister company and specialty market distributor) distributes toys from dozens of companies through their Previews catalog, including Monogram, who have been making Marvel and DC banks forever. There are often unpainted prototypes at Toy Fair, and Monogram wanted to show those to buyers, I guess. The Diamond Comics booth is full of stuff from other companies, and some press still don't understand the difference, since our booths are connected.

And there is no bad blood between DST and DC Direct. DC Direct is also connected to our booth, because Diamond Comics distributes their product to specialty, and we actually distribute DC Direct product to Toys R Us. We are all friends, that is purely a business decision that now probably involves more companies than just the two of us.

Sorry I have been absent from this thread, was waiting for a green light on the reveal. When I first teased it, I thought the toys were a lot closer than they were. They'll be out in early March, and I'll try to post the story on Monday. It's written and scheduled. I even took a couple of action shots I'll show later on.
