Not sure if any of you followed the Salt Lake Comic Con news.. but it appears to have broke a few records for a first year con. No official numbers yet but somewhere around 80k in attendance.. I am hoping this attracts more big toy company attention and we get better/more exclusives next year. Stan 'the Man' Lee even changed his plans and came on Saturday as numbers started to spike. If enthusian holds, this will continue to be the biggest western pop-Con outside of San Diego. Makes me proud of my little town.

Nothing at the State Street or Sugar House locations in Salt Lake City. I can not recall TRU distrubution this spotty since the Hulkbuster Iron Man.

I found this on minijeff's page. Not sure how much I trust it given the lack of DragonCon on there, but it's still good info.

All this convention talk has me excited for the first Salt Lake Comic Con coming up in a few weeks. Shatner and Adam West in attendance.. As well as a few collectors from MMMV.. Should be a good time.

Picked up all 3 sets today at the Disney Store in Salt Lake City. $9.99 each is hard to pass up.. Happy Father's Day to me.. (Though, to be fair, the wife and son are all over these.. )

Really great sets.. nicer quality than I was expecting. My boy loves the Michael figure, but he does keep asking me where his teddy bear is.

Is there any way to know what the MSRP will be on the box set at this point? Depending on how 'extended' the set is I am wondering if we are talking $29.99.

I have been holding off on other possible minimate purchases to make sure I have cash in hand for a day 1 purchase when these hit.

So we shouldn't expect 1/10th of the armors yet we already have better than 1/10th.. Zach, you teaser!

I really wouldn't mind repaints of stuff as a 'tribute' to iron man movies.. just like the War Machine armor that wasn't exactly in the movie, I was still very happy to get it. Repainting the TRU Hulkbuster would be amahzing.. but seriously, I will buy every repaint, new paint, mix and match sculpts.. I'll take it all!!!

Hey Zach.. with the special extended box set coming in July.. when can we start playing the "hints" game or shadowed control art or something? As the movie is approaching 1.2 billion in gross sales.. my desire for more movie minimates continues to grow.

I know, I know.. patience is a virtue.. but when it comes to Iron Man Movie Minimates, my patience is crap.

Also, youbastards, have you thought of releasing your own customs box set? Really fine work man.

Perfect 6 pack extended box set.. and with it not hitting until July, maybe there was time to review some fan favorite requests.. I can dream, can't I?

Some more clues would be fun... I really enjoyed the build up to disneys Peter pan sets. Speculation helps fill the time in between releases.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high thinking the box set has any new pieces/molds/sculpts. As they did with the bones armor, they could paint some existing pieces differently and create a couple new armors, add in Pepper and dragon chested Killian, and finish it out with a Tony variant and there you go.

Don't get me wrong, I would love to see igor or snapper but my Spidey sense is telling me otherwise.

Bzore and I found 'em at the State Street TRU in Salt Lake City!!

Called the Sugar House location and the one off of 33rd and they both said they didn't have them but they also didn't sound like they knew what they were.. so whether they actually checked or not is anyones guess. Not sure about Orem or Layton.. but they have at least hit 1 Utah TRU.

Regarding the minimates.. I LOVE THESE! The surprise hit for me is the Heartbreaker.. photos do not do it justice.. awesome detail, great bulky pieces.. I almost like it as much as a hulk buster. SO MANY armors is really sweet once you combine the TRU and LCS waves.. now if only we could learn more about the extended box set so I can start drooling over that!
