  1. Finally broke down and bought a set off ebay. I got all 4 2-packs including the variant figure for $49.95.

    Was this a good deal?

I see alot of 2-pack BSG figures on ebay go for like 15.00 each after shipping/handling. What I really wanted was a bunch of Apollos and Starbucks to make an army of Sheild Regristration Agents. When I tried going to my local Graham Crackers they didn't even order any BSG in.

  2. BSG is just not as commonly ordered as Marvel/DC. Some stores just won't order them unless you get a case.

I'm from chi-town as you are and I got them last week.

I believe some shops have been able to order BSG/DC after release, but I could be wrong.

So Six is the rare BSG figure, good to know. It's too bad that they are so hard to find.

Thanks for the info guys. I work in Chicago by the Loop, which store did you get your's from Amazing JL?

  3. Does "Accountability" include making zombie cyborgs from tissue of dead heroes that murder living heroes? And than hiring villians to kill more heroes? And finishing off with imprisoning heroes for breaking a law Tony Stark devised?

Ironman has had no accountability thus far, and has done very sneaking low browed tactics (Read Black Panther) to force his position. When the Village People tackled Captain America in the end, it was ludacris and a poor attempt and "proving" Ironman's point.

I still say as a master stategist, Cap should have known that there would be collateral damage from the moment he formed the resistance. And what about the dozens of heroes who stood by Cap's belief? They put so much trust and their lives in Cap. Cap would never give up and let them all down. He potentially left all his men in one gesture to be arrested and imprisoned in the Negative Zone. But a Captain always does what he can to save his men. He would never leave Namor and Black Panther screwed. He screwed and killed Wakanda. Anti-climatic.

  4. The ending was crap. First off, Cap is a master military and offensive stategist, and he didn't anticipate that there would be possible massive collateral damage? Especially since he witnessed Goliath's death by a Thor clone. So he is supposed to suddenly realize this and give up? He never quits, B.S.

Also, why would the village people tackle Cap at the end?? He's freaking Cap.

  5. You know, I was looking at the diamond on my Star Sapphire minimate and mine is colored solid black, I also notice pics above where it is also black. But the picks Mini Myte has shows the diamond is reddish.

Does anyone else have a black diamond? Is this a factory error like Sentry's missing belt?

  6. Wow, looks like there's no need for me to take pics or post any more reviews! You guys are fast. I paid $6.38 for each two pack.

I still can't believe my entire Superman right leg snapped off, I hope this was a fluke, but I have a feeling that it is not. I open my minimates with great care and patience.

  7. Would you say the plastic seems cheaper than the C3 minimates, or just the Marvel ones?

I actually think that they are the same plastic as the target minimates they have been selling. It's basically a softer plastic so be careful when bending the joints, especially those damn knees.

I think the previous C3 plastic was great, never had an issue.

I hope Bane will still come out to be 2.5

  8. Wow, folks, I was lucky enough to nab all 4 of these DC Wave 1 beauties yesterday afternoon from my supplier friend. Here is my quick review of the figures.

Lex Luthor is only a 2 inch minimate YES!

    Accessories rock and are plenty

Omac's color is now a translucent blue and he has interchangable hands

    Paint apps are great

    Frontal box art is bland

Harley comes with a hair peice and a new civilian face

Joker does not come with a hairpeice, only a hat

The plastic seems cheaper. My superman leg snaped in half instantly after purchase

    GREAT NEW CUSTOM PARTS!!!!

I also noticed that these are a whole .50 cheaper than Marvel Minimates.

DC wins this round hands down.

  9. I'm really all about the DC minimates currently. I'm glad Marvel saw the competition facing them and scapped any ideas for any more cheesy Wolverine and Spiderman minimates.

In the past they seem to think only more wolverine and spidermans would keep the line alive. Hopefully line 16 will sell the best, and finally shut Ast Asylums mouth.

I'll only buy 14 & 15 to complete my collection.

  10. This is a ridiculous topic. Where are the complaints regarding the fact that my NXM Jean Grey minimate looks gigantic next to my hulk minimates?

I welcome any size variations from D.C.
