Has anyone purchased the new Lego Endgame Iron Man Armory set? I assume the bays are too small for minimates but was curious just how close it was. I'm probably going to end up buying the set twice over just for Lego even if it's too much work to make it work for minimates but I'd be much more interested if it was going to be relatively simple to mod.

I mod just about everything Lego for Minimates. My opinion?

See the solid gray block that is 4-dots long... the one near the bottom of the “wall” behind each figure in the bay? If  you had 2 of those per bay it would fit a Minimate, I believe. Maybe even just 1 per bay... but without the set in hand I can’t tell for sure. Just buying that extra from Bricklink/eBay/Lego would be an easy and cheap mod.

I’d suggest buying one set and using the parts included to see how much tinkering it would take, then go from there!

  2. Great ideas! I’d *LOVE* an updated Silver Centurion with shoulder pads using the Wolverine shoulder pad “tech”! I also like the idea of Ultimo but am swapping him out on my wish-list because he’s just too small. I can’t stress how much I wish Marvel would make use of Vinymates. Wasted potential on their part.

    Silver Centurion/Whiplash(Blacklash)

    Hydro Armor/Stingray

    Stealth Armor/Grey Gargoyle

    Modular Armor/classic Ghost

    BAF: Bulked-up classic Titanium Man

Yeah. All 4 we got in the animated line - there's just something wrong with them (Hyperion is given the wrong type of cape, Speed Demon is black-skinned, Nighthawk's wings make his head pop off almost the minute you touch him, Doctor Spectrum is wearing what looks like bad eye-shadow on his mask).

I filed down some of the under portion of the cape on Nighthawk, then glued it down. It’s why I buy extra’s!

  4. It’s really great for browsing. I’ve had mixed luck over the years with some of the staff being snooty so I usually reserve any big purchases for my personal comic shop and just like up little little trinkets there. *shrugs*

Hell yes. I would love all of these.

I’m partial to 1960’s stuff but more NEW villains will always be better to me than most anything else I can wishlist.

@Mystery Man I was in Austin last summer and made a trip to Austin Books and Comics, and that is without a doubt the best comic book store I've ever visited. If you're ever down in Texas look it up.

Austin Books and Comics IS nice! I go by almost every time I’m in town. I used to live half an hour from Austin and now live about an hour or so away.

    What about Mindworm or Grizzly?

Give it. Also, the Crime Master, Big Man, any of the Enforcers, Rocket Racer, Kangaroo, Leap Frog, Puma, Will o’ the Wisp, the Iguana, or White Rabbit.

  8. This’ll definitely be another series where I buy 2 custom cases. When DST puts this kinda stuff out i wanna support it as much as possible. The only did (for me) is Miles. I know folks like him and while I do, I would’ve much preferred a classic Beetle, Shocker, Boomerang, Jackal or Tombstone. Ah well. This is still such a great line-up even with the one I don’t want thrown in.

  9. I enjoyed the first two volumes of “What If” immensely. The second volume started to dwindle there near the end but the first 50 issues are gold. Same with all of volume 1.

I’d buy a “What If Spider-Man Joined the Fantastic Four” set in a heartbeat.

It's gotta be tiger-themed. Everyone loves tigers.

    Shang-Chi has a tiger, right?

On his costume? Naw, it’s a yin and yang on the back of his robe. Classic version, anyhow. Doesn’t mean I don’t want him!

  11. I’d love a classic West Coast Avengers set! I wouldn’t even mind a re-do of the Silver Centurion Iron Man if they’d make the shoulder pads a separate movable piece.

Mockingbird with long and short sleeve parts would be great!

PS - the best Hawkeye is the Disney boxed set one but the “Best of” paint colors aren’t so bad

Maybe throw in a classic Vision with solid/phasing arms and legs? Or a nice new villain?
