How about petitioning DST to make a bag of blanks? I would love various colors and they wouldn't even have to be the clear kind like the SDCC promos. Although a plain, clear, uncolored minimate would rock! I know it would be easy for them to do, since they did it for FCBD. A bag of 5 or ten randomly colored minimates would satisfy lots of us. I'd even be willing to kick in some cash with the rest of the multiverse to make it happen.

I know it's expensive to get exclusives made, but if we all chipped in it wouldn't be so bad. There would be minimal packaging costs, no tampos to deal with, no accessories whatsoever. Are there 300 members here? 200? Let's say we got 150 people to chip in, at $100 per person that's $15000 right there. I would donate $100 to get these made and I'd even then buy a couple bags. I'm sure something could be worked out where we could set up a cafepress store or paypal account to collect money from members for pre-orders too. I'd even take on the responsibility if need be. We could work out how many would be either given to the members who funded it, or at what discounted price they could buy them. Then the rest could be sold to members and anyone else. Hell, put a few bags on ebay for non-members to bid on too.

Has this been discussed before? Not a character exclusive but the blanks idea... What does everyone / anyone else think? Is this way off? Am I insane? Teaching math to middle and high school kids is starting to mess with my mind!! I know money is tight these days as well, but I'm still throwing this out there.

Yeah good luck with that.. in theory a good idea, in reality it's not feasible.

Firstly Please do not contact DST "on behalf of the Multiverse" Shane and his team have worked very hard to build a relationship with them and if this sort of thing was to happen is should go through someone like Shane.

Secondly having a lot of people say they will chip in and 'count me in' is VERY different from having people actually put their money where their mouth is.

TBT, you always say this when the subject comes up and while I agree that it is different to talk about than actually act on, we've never ACTUALLY tried to act on this, have we? Why not, at the least, try to set up a poll, get members maybe to PM someone organizing the thing stating about how much they'd be willing to pitch in, and just get an idea on if this could ever be feasible. I'm not saying "let's do this", I'm saying instead of just thinking that no one will actually put money forth when it comes down to it, we could actually ask around and get responses and some actual info on who;d all pitch in.

If they don't give us Sarah Connor or Arnold, then I'm not that interested. And I don't think likeness issues would apply here since, technically, Minimates are considered a parody, not a true likeness (so Arnold can't complain).

Here's hoping we also get Kyle Reese, young John, Salvation John, and maybe even Cameron and/or Derek from the Sarah Connor Chronicles.

The brooding embitterment is loosening after the initial, shock, but not my much. I can tell she's going to be a figure I play with for a long time to come. (but she's staying in her clothes!) The body type may be sub-par, and the sculpt my be lacking, but she's still Lara Croft. Like I said, if I could have given her 4 stars in paint, or even 3, I'd have been so much happier. I may send her head to a buddy of mine and get him to cast another one so I can try repainting it, just to see what happens.

Also, any of you Brits seen this? I found a half sentence blurb about her in ToyFare, and can't find anything else. I'm wondering when she came out. If you know anything, please LMK.

I just saw your review posted up at MWC. Nice job. You actually did a much better job than I personally feel most of the guest reviewers do. Did you just write it up and email it to Michael?

Stikfas really aren't that bad at all (they're my favorite block figure next to Minimates): they're visually pleasing and I love all those accesories they come with. My only issue with them though is the HORRIBLE quality of some of the plastic they use. The almost-instant breakage on the Pirate, Superhero and Supervillain kits are very notorious examples.

If you're planning to buy Stikfas, I suggest you invest in black figures as these seem to be the sturdiest ones of 'em all so far.

Is that really a recurring problem with the pirate? My friend bought one and it smapped like hell. Heck, none of the three I had really stayed together that well now that I think of it...

Dammit! I have yet to find Magnus. I also have Voyager Bulkhead instead of the Leader one. Other than that, my collection is the same.

I believe Prizes and shipping etc are all done at DST's end on this contest, if you are concerned then I'd drop DST an email on the same address that you entered the contest.

If you don't hear back in a week or so ( DST sometimes takes a while to read emails) then let someone here know and I suspect they will be happy to chase it for you.

I've said it before, but my Wii did die, and Nintendo sent it back in a week flat.

I think some boot-type things might work better for the feet than the stupid duck things.

Actually, I am really excited about new Cap. I love the costume and I think it'll make for a gorgeous minimate. I did not, however, vote for him.
