I got these last week and was glad mostly for Torment Spider-Man.

Venom

I liked the big chest but the face isn't accurate. It looks like he's squinting. It needs bigger eyes and teeth. This Beetlejuice shrunken head Venom isn't too appealing. 7

Torment Spider-Man

This figure is the reason I got the set. The painting on the chest and leg shows are well done. The webbed design on the feet are great. 9.5

Symbiote Spider-Man

I tried to like this figure but I can't. The changing look is too odd looking. I agree an accessory (carnage style) would have made it better. A fully enveloped suit would have been best. I turn his head 180 degrees, switch his arms and cover his human side and imagine what could have been an awesome figure. 5

HydroMan

I like this one but his hair piece doesn't seem to fit well. I used a Flash Wally West piece and it looks a lot better that way. I would have preferred a Human Torch style foot trans-blue water stand(s) with the water blasts. 7

SandMan

The JJJ head helmet should have been the base head and it could have had a sandy removable helmet piece instead. The big chest could have been optional. The translucent brownish yellow legs, arms and head make no sense. It looks like this figure should be called UrineMan because that what it looks like. It should have been sand speckle colored and not apple cider brown. 1

3 out of 5 isn't bad but they should have all been winners like Torment

I'll make it 4 out of 5 by scraping that human paint off of the symbiote :blackspidey:

Hey I overheard some mangers talking in target that they need to get the toy isle reset beacaue they were getting a bunch of new toys in on a shipment in three weeks, don't know if anyone can confirm, hope the mates are included in that!

My local Target stocks new things on Monday/Tuesday. Maybe this or next week the new mates come in.

I don't get why Sandman is translucent. He looks like syrup or Honey-Man. He could be used as a Wasp custom.

What color is Sandman's torso underneath the powerchest?

The detailed painting and sculpt work is awesome. My brains hunger for several copies of this figure to terrorize my Minimates living community. Great Work

One question though, the Target Spider-Man 'Mates? Have they been cancelled?

i was in my lcs and some guy claimed he picke them up, either hes lying, or he bought them all because i called all the targets in my are (5 or so) and noby knows what im talking about

That guy is lying. :hulk: I've been going too many times to target these past months waiting and seeing nothing. They don't even have room for them. It's all clutter with those plush Hasbro figs and nonsense. Blast this Minimates addiction. I need my fix but the new DC series 4 does nothing for me.

My friend sent one out too and hasn't gotten it yet. Maybe their doing it in sections, who knows. I sent it to the first address and he sent it to the updated address.

So... those of you that have gotten your Minimates.... how long ago did you mail the offer in (how close to the date of the notice, which was about April 18)?

Mine took about 4 weeks from send off to arrival.

Target clearance sales continue - my local Targets just dropped the price to 50% off, so about $2.50 for a two-pack.

My local target dropped their prices too. It's a good time to get some Minimates for cheap.
