  1. I didn't know Black bolt was a skrull. I missed it since I've only been reading amazing spider-man, new avengers and mighty avengers. Where was it revealed that he was a skrull? I need to catch up. If

    Pym

is a skrull, was he a skrull when he was getting it on with

    Tigra

    .

  2. Well I was working at TRU when they came out, so I know part of the reason, at least there. At first we stocked them in action figures. Being Batman and all that. But then we moved them to Legos. But Lego and Megablock have a fairly tight grip on the market, so they complained. So we THEN moved then into the far mack corner, next to Lincon Logs and Tinker Toys. K'Nex got more exposre than C3 did. Shortly thereafter they were all clearanced out.

Hell, they weren't selling so much that I was sick one day and my manager put me on the far register that no one uses, and I asked her if I could play with them so she said okay. Aside from being sicker than a dog, it was a great day. I got paid to play with the Batwing. And yes, I did keep Batman when I had to put the set in returns. But the Batwing managed to stay on display for like a week.

Sometimes I almost miss working there.

    ...Almost.

You had a nice manager if she let you play around, even if you were sick or not. I loved the toys there but hated the management where I worked. It reminds me of that Clerks movie qoute "This job would be great if it weren't for the f**ing customers." ;) After they clearanced all of the C3 sets, the unsold sets which were a lot ranging from the mini-flyers to batcaves were all stored by the lego section but near ceiling level. I got the few sets that were left for a few dollars. I found this stash late in my working there but was never able to get to it. You needed an extremely long ladder to even tickle the boxes. I asked for it to be lower down but they didn't want to touch them. <_< In my last days there I hovered around plotting their release but they were too high up.

A C3 batgirl, poison ivy, and Ras al ghoul's daughter talia needed to be done.

  3. Except for the fact that they use cheap plastic and the parts don't always stay locked together....

*Sorry - I'm extremely loyal to LEGO. I admit to having gone briefly to the dark side and have some parts as a result, but the majority of my blocks are real LEGO product. That's all I allow to come into my house now as a matter of fact.*

 I'm also a big LEGO loyalist. I don't mess with anything Megabloks even when I've found megabloks sets for next to nothing.

Those paper sets look great but do you use any type of paper or a special thick one?

  4. How are "underwear"-less minimates a problem?

Why are you taking their skirts off and complaining about no underwear? <_< :smiley6: What about tops too? :powergirl: When you take off Hawkgirl's chest piece she has no bra. Where's the AA world headed. Perhaps, we should have some censored mates where all females wear pants. Your also implying females who don't wear underwear lack dignity and respect. How would you know? Maybe they have more than those who do, so long as their skirts aren't removed.

I like all female minimates, party girls or not.

  5. so.

i ordered the Thor line last month. actually, the day after it came out in the West coast.

however, during that time the ebay store that i been getting all my DC mates from (Enchanted Toychest, they are awesome by the way) didnt have it yet. so i ordered it from someone else (which in hindsight, big mistake, explanation as follow),

this store that is supposedly based in New York (coz the name said so)

Now this is the interesting part. they said it's still a preorder at that time, and i think to myself, alright, fine, coz you are in the East coast and from what i been reading for the pass 3-4 years, East coast gets stuff later.

it's been 3 weeks later. i still havent gotten my Thor...

note that i also contacted them a week later, when the East coast supposedly got their stuff, but they still said they havent gotten it, and tell me to read the item descriptions, coz it said it will ship within 30 days.

i never experienced any pre-order deal, so my concern is, is this normal? am i overreacting? or i just got shafted.

anyone please help? maybe give me some comfort so i can sleep at night??

It must be collectorsuniverse. I've wanted to purchase some minimates from that seller but making preorders seem problematic. Based on his feedback you'll wait a long time for your preorder or fight for a refund. Keep on it until you get your item. It's always best to stick to your reliable known sellers or those with barely any negatives.
