Okay, I'm not getting all the negativity. I think the designs look great, and I'm still stoked about this one. Storm did get surprisingly swapped for Doom, but I would think DST will still get us a mohawk Storm at some point. We're getting a Jim Lee Storm in just a couple of waves anyway, so I've gotten my Ororo fix.

I found the TRU Ghostbusters at Ft Smith yesterday, and did my little happy dance. BTW, this is one of the worst TRUs I've seen. The GB minimates were in the midldle of the Transformers section (literally in the middle). Galactica was in the middle of the Star Wars section. Terminiator was with Terminator and Marvel. And the worst thing was that they just had merchandise stacked up on the floor. It was like a flea market.

Anywho, once I got home, I promptly took them apart. I love that you can deconstruct the ghosts basically down to translucent blanks. For some reason, I like the Washington Square ghost the best so far.

The local TRU here in NW Arkansas is usually 2-3 weeks behind the rest of the nation, but my TRU actually had the new Marvel wave in today. But of course Bullseye/Moonstone wasn't in stock. I'm a bit worried as I don't even see these on eBay.

Sorry, but that was because I got them As of today I am only missing 4 Marvel minimates; X3 Wolverine/Jean Grey(non variant), Speacial Ops Sabretooth(variant) and the Mac Gargan Venom(only because I'm waiting til the Thunderbolts box set, but will probably end up buying it this week anyways)

I was up in Joplin, MO today, and the TRU there had nothin'.

I tried two TRUs today, but no luck. One of the TRUs actually had every singe two pack: even Wonder-Man/Union Jack and Punisher/Jigsaw. Also, as I was leaving there was a little boy walking out in front of me with his mother. He had an excited air about him and in each of his hands was a minimate two pack. It was great to see these catching on.

-Amazon ghosts are sitting in boxes in the U.S and they WILL be available in the future. Chuck explained a few retailers interested, one of particular mention being Walmart

Alright! If DST has their foot in the door this could be a huge boost. I may be able to talk to the WM buyer to get an enthusiastic internal vote in.

I finally managed to get over to Little Rock today to pick mine up. As promised, the comic store owner was holding it for me and gave it to me free of charge. Well, it wasn't exactly free, I had to stay with the in-laws for a night

I have to say, that I really don't like DCs use of 2.5" mates with the exception of maybe STRIPE. Seeing what DST has done with the Marvel line to beef-up a few minimates really makes me wish that Killer Croc, Bane, even Braniac had just been beefed up with powerhouse chests, hands, and feet.

As far as newer vs. older mates, I actually like a mix. Mates like Spider-man, Daredevil, and Cyclops, I love the original versions of. Their costumes are simple and they don't have a lot of accessories. They're just guys in tights. I think the newer Daredevil had too much on the tampo, it detracted from the simplicity of the costume. Other minimates lend themselves to a lot more detail: Apocolypse, War Machine, The Spirit (the extra tie piece is awesome).

One direction I really don't like that a lot of the newer minimates are taking is using the slip-on masks. I don't like them one bit, and really wish we could go back to masks with eye and mouth openings. This is why I can't accept Invaders Cap as-is; he's almost perfect, except for that mask.

Nuts. I didn't realize Bullseye had the slip on mask. I'm really not a fan of these. I want the masks with holes back!

Uh. OK. My first impression was "why do we need these?", and then my second impression was "yes, I will buy them". So I guess I answered myself there.

I second the need for a banana in the set!

Wow! I'm completely floored by this set. My only small wish was that it would be the current Drax that was "reborn" in Annilation. But, of course, that wouldn't make sense for this set.

This is seriously awesome.

Personally, I could only go about $150 for each. That's much lower that everyone else says, but for $500, I could be picking up graded silver-age comics, which are a pretty save return on the dollar (that is, if I ever had to re-sell them, they would probably hold their value).

FYI guys, I contacted ComicsPro about the possibility of them selling some of these on their website. I got a reply that they could actually set up one of their affiliate stores to give me one. I haven't had the chance to pick it up yet, as the closest store is a 3 hour drive, but it is a very nice gester.

I'm sure if we should all start flooding their inbox with requests for these, but if you are desparate, it is an avenue you could try.

Yeah, this kind of sucks. This was a great idea for a pack in with the game (although I wasn't too thrilled about the price tag), and I was looking forward to getting these soon.

These ghosts from the exclusive pack aren't going to sell as well on their own, especially to the casual buyer. I'm hoping they still come out, but I have no idea how they'll get them out. Mayber TRU series 3?

So, the keychain is just looped around the minimate's neck? It looks like it will be removable, which is a plus. Hopefully I can trade for one or something. Maybe someone is desperate for some Spideys or Wolverines?

My TRU got these in sometime between Thursday and today (I checked late Weds.) They had three of the T-800/SWAT pack and three of the T-800/Endoskeleton pack. No T-1000s which I was really looking forward to. Someone bought/hid at least three of those packs. So, I had to take the chance with TRU online.

Sweet. I never picked up the IM Hostile Takeover set, so that was a nice bonus.

I guess this is DCs answer to Mighty Muggs? Except these look awful.

As far as collecting goes, Minimates are a little better value in my eyes. I was collecting Star Wars and Transformers a few years ago, but one Transformer runs $10 and one little Star Wars figure runs about $8. For $7, I get two minimates. Even if I don't particularly want one of the minimates in a 2 pack for myself, I know one of my kids will. Or I could give it away to someone who would apprectiate it or play with it.

Plus, I've gotten all "green" lately, and I don't feel as wasteful spending money on two 2" plastic figures as opposed to one 6" one. And you can recycle all of the minimal minimate packaging!

The capes on BP and Moon Knight look absolutely awesome! They look like they'll be pretty big. I even like the Wolverines in the wave. The soldier can easily be made into a generic soldier if needed, and the Hydra agent is about three minimates in one.

Now, I seriously want a box set with an AIM agent, Hydra agent, Skrull, and Sheild soldier. I'd buy 5, at least.

Sweet! I was trying to figure out what letter the number 17 was. Nice job. If these are right, we are looking a freakin' sweet wave already.

The numbers are spaced into three groups:

The numbers could represent letters, but it is not sequential. 3+3+5 format is what...?

I ordered 2 separate packages from TRU on the same day, one arrived today, the other won't be in for another week for some reason. Also, these were horribly packaged. They just threw them in a box and shipped them. At least 3 of the packages here are opened on the side, with the tape pulled off for some reason. On the whole, my experience with TRU's packaging has not been very good.

The ones I odered weren't even in a box, they came in a padded envelope. Bad enough that they cancelled my order for the "in stock" Silver Fox that they had, but then they charge me $5 for shipping and through them in an envelope. So of course the packages I got were crushed. This is like ordering from an eBay seller who sells used stuff out of his garage.

I'm not going to give TRU.com a third strike; I'm done with them.

Still, I'm happy to get new mates, and I'm really liking the Blob.
