  1. That could simply be an error on my part. I'm hoping that's not the case though.

Just looked at the Database and am pretty much convinced the mistake is mine. I think I've used the hairpiece from The wave 27 variant WWII Captain America. ARSE!

We'll have to get that fixed.

  2. FYI, Mattel is re-releasing several JLU sets for "Black Friday." In case you missed them earlier. And then, y'know, felt regret. That kind of regret that just nibbles away until it becomes an unbearable obsession to get what it was that you foolishly missed out on the first time around. That kind of thing.

Shazam family... Doom Patrol... Must Reeeeeezeeeeeeest!!!!

  3. Good article and nice collection you got there Rad!

Cheers buddy, I only really posted it up so you guys could all see minimates are getting a bit more attention.

After Reading that I see we have more in common Rad

    I'm intrigued dude, do tell...

A very fun article to read. I like the part about toy karma, so true. Sad about the JLU figures, those Parademon 2-packs coming out look super awesome.

Remember to shoot Rad an e-mail with any new JLU figure news, so he doesn't miss anything :D

*gives pickle an enabler's high five*

    F*ckers!!! ;)

A friend of mine writes for a website called geek planet online and did a little article about my minimate collection

A friend of hers then posted this link which I think you'll all want to see...

It's almost Minimate Cosplay, except the ladiez haz the boobiez. Still fab though.

  5. Bad news then as Disney are really getting into the Marvel stuff they have picked up the distribution for IM3 and The Avengers from Paramount.

It could be the start of Disney trying to get everything in one place.

Not really, I'd already ditched all the Avengers books apart from Nu New. The X-books aren't lighting my fire anymore with the X-ception of X-Factor. But I've been picking up more and more DC books since Blackest Night.

Love the Marvel Universe but I really resent the Disneyfication of it. (apologies for off-topicness).

  6. I know I'm in the minority, but I really don't like these variants. Tron has nothing to do with the Marvel universe. It bothers me that Disney is using Marvel to cross market the new film like this. Don't get me wrong, I love the film, but this variant campaign is leaving a nasty taste in my mouth. I'm even considering ditching the few Marvel books I still buy because of it. Kneejerk reaction for sure, but the only way I can vote is with my wallet.

  7. Those box set figures look like near straight re-releases. . .

    Wave 24 Spider-Man & Venom ,Wave 28 Deadpool & Wolverine .

    Exciting <_<

To be fair BHM, there's a lot of people missed out on Deadpool in wave 28. I'm really pleased to see them getting another chance at grabbing what is at present a stupidly overpriced minimate.

I will be very disappointed if Marvel Minimates disappear from the speciality market in favour of Toys r Us though.

Man, I'm ridiculously excited for that Cannonball and Shatterstar. Like way more excited than anyone should ever be excited for Shatterstar, unless you're Rob Liefeld.

    Or Rictor!

  8. I don't think the 2.5 inchers played a role in the lack of success of those Minimates. They only stuck one in per wave, if that.

Just to be anal, waves 3 & 7 had 2 each in them.

I think the only thing wrong with DC mates was that they were controlled by DC Direct. If DST had handled the line, I'm convinced the line would still be going strong.

And we'd have already had Superman Blue, Superman Red, Superman Reborn, The Batman of Zurr En Ah, Gotham by Gaslight Batman, and The Composite Superman/Batman. ;)

  9. Honestly when it ends I'll be happy. I love Minimates more than anything, especially the Marvel ones but I have them all, and at some point it has to come to an end. I won't be sad but happy because as far as I'm concerned this is, was and always will be the greatest line of figures ever. It's a great ride and when it ends it ends.

Sums up exactly how I feel about it.
