So, either a Spider-Man Edge of Spiderverse or Captain Marvel box set

Does anyone have a Rogue with a working left knee?
Yes

Anybody have any good recipes for characters from the Gifted? I've been watching season 2 and I'm thinking about kitbashing a few of the main characters.

If you don't want to paint anything; I'd recommend Polaris' or Spectre's cape

Just picked up the Rogue and Cyclops pack from my mailbox today. After I got them out of the package; I have to say this is one of my favorite two packs in recent releases. I'm an X-Men fan and these costumes definitely cater to my interests as I was pretty invested in Bendis' Uncanny X-Men run, sue me. Anyway, thoughts: I like that they didn't give Cyclops a slip cover, I think the base head looks really good and so does the rest of his costume. He complements Marvel Now Magneto quite nicely. As for Rogue, I like this costume because as above it can be used as classic or modern, and I feel it was executed well. I do wish that the paint applications for the hood weren't as sloppy (as I believe was previously mentioned in the thread). She also pairs nicely with Marvel Now Scarlet Witch and any modern Wolverine.

Most of these sets are sold by 3-party stores like ToyWiz.
Yep, I've looked at these before. Most are a bit overpriced and the third parties (usually Toywiz) are not incredibly reliable.

I con't confirm or deny anything, but I would not call the line-up C-list.
Not Generation X, sadly, although that would be cool if it had ANY kind of modern tie-in. I'd love to see our Skin parts. ...That came out wrong.
That's fair if the updates are like Vulture, Scorpion or Kraven. Molten man isn't exactly what I'd called a higher tier villain though.
Edit: Also, Gen X did make a brief appearance in X-Men Blue. There was also a Generation X title as part of the ResurrXion banner; though I don't think any of the characters on the original team are a part of that title (and I don't think it has done all that well?)

I've been down but the thing is that Zach mentioned it is an all male wave and also that it sooner than people expected to revist a theme/wave.so.... Not going to be Gen X sadly.
Hence me completely ignoring those things in hope of getting some more mutant 'mates. The last minimates revealed that I've actually been excited about were the Cyclops and Rogue pack. And to find this wave is another Spiderman wave; I'm just whelmed, but glad to see a lot of others are excited for more new Spidey villains.

I noticed that Rogue comes with a hood piece. SO is this just the modern Rogue or is it both modern and first appearance?
Modern Rogue; she wears the hood in a lot of her appearances. Also realized this pack actually ended up having good timing because she wears the same or a similar costume in the first couple issues of Gambit & Rogue.

You know who else was a Toybiz exclusive? Synch!
Am I about to hear some more clamoring for Gen X 'mates...because I'm down (and ready to fully ingore the very obvious clues that this is a Spidey C-level villain focused wave).

There's a lot of insanely popular sh** that I can't sit through for 5 seconds. Sports, for one.
Opinion isn't fact.
Sports I can deal with, however most if not all of the CW DC shows I cannot.

I'm not saying ALL of them need a lighter tone but I think Luke and Danny could benefit from it. Maybe it's just me, but neither of them strike me as dark and gritty like Daredevil, Jessica Jones, or The Punisher.
I can understand the benefit of comedic relief which is what a lot of the MCU has, but I find that the Netflix shows have much deeper (darker and mores serious) themes than the films; Matt's disillusionment with religion, a character in almost every show with a substance abuse problem (Jessica, Karen, Ward), PTSD with the Punisher, Luke Cage tackling culture and race, and characters in multiple shows with seriously dysfunctional familial relationships (Jessica, Trish, Matt, Davos, Luke, Ward, Joy, and Harold). Heck, Iron Fist season 2 tackled dissociative identity disorder, and Daredevil season 3 even touched on postpartum depression. These are kinds of things that I think would be very difficult to convey if the tone of these shows in general was lighter or aimed at a younger audience.

Okay, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought this, but I wasn't completely sure

I agree! Granted the 2nd season was leaps and bounds better than the first; but I did enjoy watching both.

As long as it actually fits in with the rest of the MCU, while still being connected to Daredevil and such, I'm okay with this. I think that Heroes for Hire could also benefit from a lighter tone.
I disagree; the reason all of the Marvel Netflix have kept me watching is for some of the darker tones and themes, things that aren't portrayed in MCU films. I would definitely not be as excited for future continuations of the Marvel Netlfix properties if they went with a lighter tone.

Zach, any chance at all that we'll see a season 3 set? The season's been doing extremely well and has surprised Disney even after their preemptive cancellations of Iron Fist and Luke Cage. I think it would probably be a good sell. A quality line up would be: Matt Murdock, Agent Poindexter, Kingpin, Sister Maggie.
I wanted to have Melvin Potter somewhere, but he didn't fit. Maybe next season (fingers crossed there will be one) he'll finally become Gladiator.
I think that's a great lineup for a season 3 box set, and I'm still disappointed we didn't get a Punisher box set, so I really hope we get at least one more Netflix Marvel superhero show box set. Also...
SpoilerI mean Melvin did where a shirt that strongly resembles Gladiator's costume which might be the closest we get tbh...and of course he threw some saw blades.

We announced Walgreens would have these at our panel at SDCC. Even had a tag in the case. It's been discussed pretty extensively in the TRU 26 thread. No surprises here. Well, maybe one.
That there are 4 packs in this wave instead of 3...???

I just recently picked up this series, and is one of my first times venturing outside of Marvel,DC, and Star Wars for an ongoing comic series. I really love the story and characters. I think they would lend themselves nicely to the minimate format; assuming the series is able to be merchandised (which I believe is the case since there are most definitely Saga pops).
Characters I'd like to see as minimates (from reading through issue 18): Alana, Marko, Hazel (maybe just as a baby piece), Izabel, Klara, Barr, The Will, The Stalk, Prince Robot IV, Sophie, Gwendolyn

Oooooo, yay!

Eleven years ago, the only comic-based assortment that was released was Series 16, and it was Avengers-based.
But all of those characters have been done since...unless you don't count she-hulk, because that was a MvC mate

I feel like this could be another "Greatest Stories" wave. It gives them plenty of flexibility with character choice while also bringing in new characters. It makes sense as to why it would be redone so soon after the last wave with this theme; these will be based off of different stories.

Is it able to be cut off? That sounds bizarre
Probably not cleanly; it's all meant to be one piece

No, the translucent Phoenix fire is attached to the hairpiece
Edit: that didn't clarify much, let me try again. The fire shaped like the Phoenix is attached to the back of the hair, while the base is a separate piece.

Chuck said very directly in the panel that the TRU situation threw them for a pretty hard loop. He listed off Target, Walmart, GameStop, etc. as potential substitutes but it sounded like nothing was in place yet. In the meantime, it seems that Walgreens will be the safety net going forward.
That's good to hear that they are at least seeking those retailers, and I think everyone on the forum would be pretty excited if they landed minimates at one or two of them in the future.

Some photos taken at the panel confirm TRU wave 26 will now be Walgreens comic wave 1. This will be the first time I look for minimates at Walgreens, just to get Cylops & Rogue.
wave 77

This seems like the most plausible scenario, though, I'm unsure that we will actually get a wave with the box set, much like Ant-Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp, in the eyes of DST the main characters may be able to fit in a single box set.
My guess: Captain Marvel, Talos, Mar-Vell, Doctor Minerva or Korath (assuming DST is focused on not giving us repeat characters, if not: one of those spots could be replaced by Nick Fury). Phil Coulson is also slated to appear in the movie, so that's also a possibility, and MCU Coulson has definitely been a minimate that people on the multiverse have been asking for, for a while.
