  1. Well this is an interesting question, good one Nervous! My first Minimate was the 3 inch Gene Simmons one. I had gotten out of collecting toys because they were too bulky to display a bunch in limited space and getting too pricey really. My wife and I found the 3 inch KISS and Star Trek ones and I thought they were pretty neat, being so different from anything else out there. A year later when I saw the Marvel ones in 2 packs and at the 2 inch scale I was even more intrigued! I really missed collecting toys and long story short these were perfect! To echo what Shane said, I used to collect them all, no matter the line but I have taken a step back on that and now only collect the lines I really enjoy and will cherry pick out of the other lines stuff that I like or find useful! Minimates have brought me a lot of joy in the past 11 years as well as many new friends...I think that is pretty good for some 2-3 inch plastic action figures!

  2. I have been prepping my Wolverine costume from last month's comic con, just waiting ona couple more pieces before I get to see the show....I think this is a not bad mix of mates, looking pretty good in my books. It sucks that we have to miss out on some characters that end up being important to the movie or at least the end of the movies lol but it is not DST's fault if the studio won't give them references in time or at all. Personally Zach I would like to thank Chuck for getting these made, if you could pass that along that would be great, these waves get 6 SNIKTS up from me!

  3. Holy crap! I need to source out someone to hook me up with a couple sets of these. My kids camp is having a mini-Free Comic Book Day and I think these would make awesome door prizes since they will appeal to all ranges of kids at the camp not just the boys who already are asking if I have extra Minimates to bring to camp for them! If anyone here is stocking up and would mind helping me out with this please let me know!

  4. I am almost certain that i've seen stills of atleast Jack Knight (though i cant seem to find them now)

but I'd imagine all versions of Starman are in the game (theres over 2500 characters)

Yea given the character count and the fact that Jack had a big spread in the encyclopedia that they said they used for character selection it gives me great hope in seeing him in game!

  5. I think this set looks like a lot of fun, and my kids think it looks awesome so it has great kid appeal at least from this end. It is fun to have the multiple looks option, and while it can lead to display issues I would rather have that then not at all!

  6. Thanks. I have lots of cool Minimate related art, but I wouldn't want to give it away.

totally, I would never expect anyone to just pony up stuff from their collections, in fact I hadn't planned to ask anyone but people have offered to. The comic covers was something I had always wanted to do but this was the motivation it getting it going.

  7. Resistance is futile, Jeff. banana.gif <---- Borg Banana

lol love it! yea there wasnt really any resistance before, I think I was just kidding myself into thinking I may not buy these lol. I have been a Trek fan pretty much all my life so couple that with being a Minimate addict and it was game over before it ever really started lol

now if TRU Canada would get their crap together so I can find them easier it would be even better!
