Odd that these are all TRU exclusives and yet the Hulk pack is the only one to get the foil sticker.

DST does that most of the time. I've seen it annoy some reviewers.

What are the first two? I ask because people tend to have different ideas of what "completed" means, especially when it comes to X-teams.

I guess "third completed era" would have been a better way of putting that, since they're all different eras of X-Men. By the time this comes out, I'll have series 60's Jim Lee uniform team, and 59's ANXM (minus X-23<_<). It's not a lot, but I think it's a pretty good start. I also only need an FA Rogue to complete Mystique's Brotherhood too, if that counts as an X-team.

kind of a random/fitting question but does anyone really like the movie star lord over animated?

I like that he has both of his guns.

Also, I'm not really a fan of the muscle detailing on his shirt, but overall, the animated figure is much better.

Did all of the Squadron appear on whatever animated show they appeared on?  I'd like to have them all.  Looking forward to Superman v. Omni-Man v. Hyperion in minimate form.

Apparently, the remaining SS members from Avengers Assemble are Speed Demon, Doctor Prism, and... Nuke?

Well, it's totally diiferent IMO. ReAction is purely nostalgia fueled, as they're essentially Kenner versions (ala the old Star Wars toys) of new (and old) licenses. To a young person who never grew up with those, they're nothing but badly made action figures, but to the old guard, they're a trip to the past. Nostalgia is a powerful drug. Just look at Stranger Things (twas excellent BTW).

Animated Mates are a whole different case. They're less detailed versions that don't really fit with our collections so far. You'd never mix ReAction figs with Neca or Hot Toys action figures (unless you have say, a shelf dedicated to "Escape from New York" and display the 1/6th fig alongside the ReAction Snake), so it's not the same "dillema" we're facing with Animated stuff.

I can definitely understand that for classic properties, but things like Arrow and Firefly seem like a poor fit for the style. I also think they're overpriced but that's a different matter.

I wasn't trying to compare the two. It isn't in any way the same situation, I was just mentioning that his words mirrored my thoughts.

IMO the animated characters fit in just fine next to the comic and even movie mates

I've got multiple animated Spider-Man and Spider-Man related characters all in a huge group shot and no one looks out of place; and I can't wait to add chibi Spidey & Spider-Man Noir to the mix (as well as Sir Spider Knight when I can get him)

Yeah, muscle detailing is so inconsistent across the comic line that I just don't think they look out of place.

I don't think we've seen this. Can anyone find it?

Iron Giant is a wonderful surprise. Now if we could only get Minimates for that OTHER Brad Bird animated movie....

The Incredibles? Ratatouille? One Man Band?

They're burritos from the "burrito run" episode

    Oh, that's a great accessory!

That's what I mean, they mentioned that MONTHS ago (January actually), was hoping we'd get an update during SDCC

Yeah, I just thought I'd make sure you knew.

So far, the actual reveals have been:

    • Marvel Walgreens Series 3
    • Predator Blind Bags Series 2
    • Cheshire Cat Vinimate
    • Beetlejuice Vinimate
    • Elf Vinimate
    • Iron Giant Vinimate
    • Iron Giant/Hogarth two pack

Is that it for the show, or is there more?

    Super Stoked for Noir Spider-Man

is there more to reveal Minimate wise? little disappointed in the lack of GB Minimates (minus showing DST & TrU wave 1)

In a chat, Zach or Chuck said they were working on 1984 Ecto-1 and Janine. I don't know what the status of that is.
