  1. I picked up my set too. And just like sha ckwave's experience, when I got to my LCS people were calling about them. It's good to see there is a lot of interest in Minimates. The more they sell, the more Minimates will be here to stay.

I definitely think this premiere DC MM series (excluding C3's) is a great start. I love the added accessories. My favorite has to be the Superman / Lex Luthor pack.

Now I can't wait for the end of March and series 2 to arrive.

  2. I'm glad to hear that the quality is decent with this release. Now I'm definitely looking forward to picking these up this weekend at my LCBS. I called and the owner said they arrived today.

Appreciate the information Jatta Pake and maxcarnage.

  3. Thanks to all who posted for the pics and information.

    Question:

How is the quality of these minimates? Has AA's production facility improved this batch of minimates over the last few releases (i.e. Speed Racer, Target GSXM and the Marvel TRU 4-Packs)?

I'm hoping for no broken leg joints, mispaints, and better plastic quality.

  4. I wish we still had a Toy's 'R Us (brick and mortar) in my neck of the woods to pick any of these up.

2-3 years ago we had three TRUs in the SF Area. Today, zero. Although one has been converted to a

Babies 'R Us. To push the product, they could of at least offered some of these minimates on-line. :(

  5. Now I realize what's bothering me about Storm's face! With that haircut and expression, if you squint, she kinda looks like Bea Arthur from the Golden Girls.

    Hey Boyd,

Now don't give Art Asylum any new licensing ideas. If I see any solicitations for an upcoming "Golden Girls" Minimate line, I know who to blame. :P

  6. Nice. Definitely looking forward to this movie next year. The trailer is great.

Perhaps some company (i.e. Topps) will make a lenticular trading card of the poster that they can give away free in a Previews catalog (hint... hint...).

  7. Thanks for the input Rad, AdyCarter, Cappy and Danny.

I agree with AdyCarter that Auction Wiz should not be handling the fulfillment of these orders. If anything, they are making Bad Apple look reeeallly bad (pun intended). BAC should find some other reliable means of fulfilling these orders. Also, they (both Auction Wiz and BAC) should try to make a better effort to answer email and phone questions promptly. Being kept informed can do wonders.

My guess is this is not intentional as well. But the way they are dragging their feet on correcting it is not acceptable. I think I've been pretty patient with them.

I also would be a bit more understanding is this was an isolated incident (which it isn't).

I'll let you know how it goes...

    Evening Update:

Well, it looks like the President of BAC has contacted me regarding this (although not a peep from Auction Wiz). He isn't quite sure what happened, and is going to resend the order out. He also apologized for the delay. Hmmm... a pretty quick response after I posted this, coincidence or the POWER of this Minimate Multiverse forum. <_<

I'll let you know if I get the resend. Thanks again for all of your comments and thanks to the BAC President.

  8. Thanks Reideen1313. I appreciate the suggestion.

I'm probably going to wait until Saturday to see if the package ever arrives. I've waited this long already.

If it doesn't, then I'll heed your advice and get in contact with my credit card company.

I'm pretty doubtful Bad Apple Comics or Auction Wiz will contact me to try to work out that arrangement. If they can't answer a simple email now regarding my order status, I'd be surprise if they would go out of their way to make this transaction right.

This is just my feeling on this. It's kinda sad that neither business understands the meaning of good customer service (because it usually results in more business).

  9. Hey All,

My first post to this board. Sorry it is a negative one. To add to this thread, I ordered this set on May 31st. The payment was made through my credit card. I waited until mid-June to inquire with Auction Wiz why my order was not received. The person responded that my payment had not yet registered with their system. After approximately a week later, I inquired again and was told my payment cleared and that they would ship it out immediately (This is June 19th).

Well... it's July 6th and I still have not received it. I've sent numerous emails (this past week) to both Bad Apple Comics and Auction Wiz querying them when this was sent and what has happened. No responses. This has gotten beyond frustrating. I've already paid my charge card bill with this item on it. You would think they would have the courtesy to fulfill the transaction in a timely manner as well and/or at least keep me informed of any delays.

So right now I am pretty steamed, and would advise anyone ordering from either of these businesses to exercise extreme caution.

I also find it quite humorous that Bad Apple Comic's website is trying to solicit votes for the Best Comic Book Store in Orlando for 2006. Well, I guess not responding to emails and generally not caring about overall customer service means they deserve a "Best" vote. (end of sarcasm)

Once again sorry for the negative post. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm open to them.

And if Bad Apple Comics or Auction Wiz is reading this: Do the right thing and fulfill the order... I held up my part of the transaction...

    Thanks.
