  1. I have to go with the original Sinister Six. I've always loved the 1964 Amazing Spiderman Annual #1.

However, as an aside, I've been reading the current :cap: Captain America series (#27-#29 - post Captain America's death), and it would be fun to have the latest incarnation of the Serpent Squad plus some of the other notable characters like:

    Serpent Squad

    Sin

    Cobra

    Viper

    Eel

    (Pic reference: http://scoop.diamondgalleries.com/scoop_ar...5809&si=129 )

    Others

    Falcon

    Red Skull

    Crossbones

    Dr. Faustus

  2. Thanks for the pics Tim and thanks to everyone else (i.e. JP) that has posted/will post SDCC pics in other threads) !

Wow, this just made my day at work go from bad to good. Hawkeye and Vision, Whooo Hoo! I'm also lovin' that Mysterio.

  3. Hey thanks for the intel SG.

I'm really enjoying this line of Marvel Zombie minimates. Since it's being solicited in an upcoming Previews, I guess this 2-pack must be a Previews exclusive then.

Definitely looking forward to the first zombie set to touch down at SDCC.

I'm also in that zombie frame of mind since I'm reading "World War Z - An Oral History of the Zombie War" by Max Brooks.

  4. anything we should watch for with this wave?

    like gimpy knees or legs?

Hey, I didn't know there was going to be a Gimpy Knees & Legs two-pack in this series. Is this DC's first chase set?

:P Kidding aside, I agree with Jason on the quality control issues with the some of the recent releases. I hope the factory has worked out these bugs. With such a big push on this particular line, issues like this can often make or break the future of the product.

  5. Thanks for the great pics MM and congrats for being the first to post a Bane backbreaking Batman pic. :)

My favorite set is the Batgirl and Bane one. Though I definitely am going to have to pick up a full set tomorrow (along with the Spiderman Previews 5-pack). Well this looks like the start of a very busy and expensive Minimate month.

  6. My Batgirl is going to have a "team-up" with Wonder Woman.

    What?! :whistling:

    Sicko! Plastic porn? eugh.

I'm keeping my Batgirl away from the Joker. If she does come with a separate hairpiece, is an Oracle custom in order?

  7. Rad: Sorry to hear the link doesn't work. I tried to find you a different link, but most of them have different pictures of the product (though I think they are the same). If you do see similar ones online, remember the key is to get the removable ones.

So far, I've tried the dots on clear plastic materials, and it holds the Minimates quite well. You may need to use 2 dots if you are displaying the 'mates upside down. It does leave a real minor residual smear on plastic when you remove it. But that can be easily gotten rid of by running some regular tape over it to clean it off.

Another thing to be careful of is to remove the 'mate from the adhesive by gently pulling on the foot near the base close to where it sticks. Don't try to pull the 'mate from its head, torso or leg because you might damage it.

Cappy: I'll keep testing it on other materials and will let you know. So far no yellowing with any plastic or the glue dot.

I'm not sure, but I think these same type of dots are used by the vendors when they display them at conventions/shows such as SDCC and Toyfair.

PS: The glue dots cost me $1.99 for a pack of 60

  8. One of the problems with displaying Minimates in cases and on desks and shelves is that often times they fall.

I was looking at my local stationary store for some clear puddy, but came across this instead.

    (Removable Glue Dots)

So far, they appear to keep the minimates adhered to a surface pretty good. You can even use this to posed certain Minimates upside down (i.e. the Beast or Nightcrawler).

Also, I'm trying to see if they can be removed nicely without damaging the plastic on the 'mates.

    Anyways, I hope this helps.

  9. Well I just got back from Wondercon and had an opportunity to meet and talk briefly with DST Matt. Matt is a really nice guy. He's definitely very easy to talk. DST has a lot of great products coming out, and it looks like it is going to be a very expensive year for many of us. On the non-minimates side, I also liked the Wrath of Khan figures and the classic Mego repros.

Pretty much all the major news regarding new minimates has been covered at Toyfair and the NY Comic Con.
