  1. Luke, I haven`t picked up Viva POinate TiP yet, but I agree with you 100%! I got several of our members on the boards here hooked on the first one (and they hated me for it). It looks like such a kiddie game... But it`s not.
  2. Hey guys! Just lettin`yàll know the war continues in episode 2 out now!
  3. HD, Mine are all covered under warranty, but I have to ask you... What are you going to do? Realistically, it's $100 to get your 360 fixed which, I agree sucks... Or you can have a useless, broken machine. I might reconsider the repair.
  4. Sorry everybody. I know it's been awhile since I updated this, but I've been pretty busy. That being said I thought I would jump in here and post on two stories you NEED to be reading. Okay, they're actually optional, but as the two BEST stories to come out of Final Crisis... You get my point. First is obviously Final Crisis: Rogues Revenge #2. Geoff Johns continues to show that he is the only person who's EVER had an awesome grasp on how to write the rogues. Each of the characters are intricatly captured in a very deep and emotional story of what it's like to be badass. Okay, mostly it follows Captain Cold. They say that's because in recent years he's kind of become the leader of the group (after he beat up the Top and put Heat wave in his place). Still, Geoff does not disappoint. Second, and perhaps MORE intriguing than RW is: Final Crisis: Legion of Three Worlds. Okay, so let me answer your first question: "Why the hell would I read a story about the Legion of Superheroes?" You don't need to know much about them to jump in on this story. Or even Superboy Prime for that matter. Issue 1 walks you through EVERYTHING you need to know and still has time for loads of action. Geoff has stated that this book would be an encyclopedia for the future, guiding you through every part of the 31st century... And by how much he covers in #1... I believe him! My brother actually said to me: "He fit a lot in there!" If any one DOES pick this book up and is still confused at all about any of the characters (which, despite it's large cast I find unlikely) I can answer some questions. I'm no expert of the Legion, but I tried to follow the Zero Hour Legion when I could.
  5. Castle Crashers is awesome! Good pick Neo. The games I'm looking forward to are: Rock Band 2 (360) Viva Pinata (360) The rest of the games I want won't drop til 2009.
  6. As much as I don't want to see Bruce go, I must admit that sounds interesting. Trekker, I said "nice" cause it was funny, that's all. It took like a month but SOMEBODY (you ) knew of a story where they killed Spidey and brought him back.
  7. Can anyone identify where the music is from? (It's a movie). 1 minute isn't much time to cram jokes in, so hopefully the coming episodes have a few more laughs, they'll each be 5 minutes. And as for Kyle... Ummm...
  8. Volume 1 Sinestro Corps War Episode 1: Episode 2: Episode 3: Episode 4: http://www.minimateheadquarters.com/?p=133 Volume 2 Back To Bishop's Future Episode 1: http://www.minimateheadquarters.com/?p=149
  9. Sadly that's the common verdict towards the game. Activision has pushed the license to the end of where they can simply change the box. That's why they're starting a new set of rip offs in GH4.
  10. So, all of us who still play the game faithfully know H3 will be seeing some changes soon, like AU2 and some new maps... But it's fair to say most loyal Halo 3 players were under the impression Bungie was almost finished with the game, getting ready to move onto new things. Ummm, 'Hell no?' Apparently there are HUGE things in store for the game... Actually, maybe I should just let you watch the vid: http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3169313
  11. I don't know Tim, like I said, It's not my favorite book, but it's definetly getting better. That being said, it's not THAT all over the place, now is it? Everything falls into one of three themes: 1. 2. 3. ... OKay, maybe not the guy getting fired from the burger joint. But don't worry, stick with us on this thread and we'll tell you if it's worth your time or not. One more thing about this comic that I REALLY DO LIKE ia that I go back and read each issue a 2nd time and find a lot more than I saw the first time. There's lots hidden there. That's probably why the released a new version of issue 1 this week "revealing" all the secrets hidden in the pages, which I might still pick up. Issue 3 had lots of these too. One was that the guy stumbles accross at the beginning was Another especially exciting one was that the new were all You can tell by the way they carry themselves, what weapons they're carrying & their costumes.
  12. Okay, so I'm jumping in here with 3 new Final Crisis Comics: Here goes: Final Crisis: Requiem. Not a required read. Essentially it just goes back and tells a more in depth version of how died. And, as it turns out, Libra stabbed him A LOT. It does a lot better job showing it than FC#1, but like I said, "Hardcores only." Final Crisis: Rogue's Revenge #1 I said before I wished FC was written by Geoff Johns... And this is why. Geoff writes the rogues wonderfully and I am stoked to hear he'll be writing Flash after FC is done. Essentially, the story is: Okay, so the comic is "edge of your seat" yet, but it sure looks like it will be. If you're reading DC, read this book. Final Crisis #3 Last month I said I didn't expect much from FC#3, that my hopes would lie in #4. Essentially, my assumptions proved true as #3 was just leading into something "bigger." But OMG! Seriously Oh-eM-Gee! How do you "remove Batman from play? How do you remove Superman from play? Both "meh." How do you remove Wonder Woman from play?!?! MAJOR SPOILER: F-ing awesome! Okay, back to the review. So, still not the best book on the shelf... But the next one could be!!!!
  13. So I mever played CoH. The 1:1 speed in DCU is what's getting me interested. Is CoH like that too? I played FFXI and the menus blow. The release date on DCU currently is 07/08/2009. So, they're gonna land very close together.
  14. With Champions 360/PC & DCU PS3/PC the console war continues. Discuss.
  15. So I decided to merge DCU Online & Champions Online. Here's the newest on Champions. http://www.1up.com/do/previewPage?cId=3169180 So... What's the story folks? DCU or CU... Or both?
  16. Ummm... Constantine is DC...
  17. Neo, I'm not a fighting game person either. I make an exception for 2 games: Smash Bros & Sould Cali
  18. Neo, I've got 2 of my own, and I understand. Minimates and a hand full of comics are the extent of my collecting. That being said, if there's anything you're going through or need help with, let us know. We're here for you and have your back.
  19. Of course! I'll read ANYTHING Geoff is writing! (Pick up "Rogues Revenge" on shelves now for some Johns Flash stuff. )
  20. Thanks Neo. I agree Grant M can be a sketchy writer at times. Kind of like what's happenning in Final Crisis. Will it turn out awesome? *Crosses fingers*. Interesting theory TBT. Keep building on it and lyou might have something better than Grant does. Alright, Alph and Kara. Here goes: Resurrections can be a tricky thing. But it's important to note that in SOME cases they can be done right: Perfect example is Donna Troy. She died, had a funeral and IN THE SAME ISSUE revealed that she was "reborn" on a distant planet fighting a war. The writers showed restraint however and didn't bring her back into comics for 3 years. There you have a "long term plan" AND a resurrection that takes time. Sometimes writers make mistakes though. I've brought up Ice on these Forums before. I think it was Chuck Dixon who was writing Justice League at the time when she died. AS SOON AS the issue printed he, like everyone else knew killing her was a mistake. Still, they decided to respect their readers by keeping her dead for 12 years. In this case resurrection wasn't the mistake, but instead the resolution to the mistake. Still there are other cases like Hal Jordan who was brought back because fans demanded it. Doesn't that seem like a good reason to change something? Now, I want to make it clear that DC DOES NOT always make the right choices. Realistically did ANYONE want Jason Todd back? He was killed after DC took a vote from readers for pete's sake! Also, Barry, in my opinion should've stayed dead. After over 2 decades I think people had come to grips with the fact he was gone. That was disappointing. I guess I'm saying that there IS room for hero deaths and comebacks... Just don't do them to often. *cough* X-Men. *cough* (Spider-man DID die during Infinite Gauntlet. I'm not ssure, maybe other stuff too. )
  21. Jenny, we were TALKING about starting a "what's it worth?" thread but never got around to it. Youc an go ahead and start one though.
  22. Don't worry about it Havoc. I said frustrated, not offended. It just seems like lots of people are bashing things they no nothing about recently... Okay, I'm sure it's not just recently, but you get my point. I DO however totally agree with you about character deaths. Unnecessary ones not only bore me, I feel like they insult the reader. It's pretty much why I dropped X-Men. At what point does it become clear that Pheonix, Wolvering, Cyclops, Colossus, ect. will just be back from the dead in a few issues (okay, so Colossus stayed dead for awhile, but my point is made). I feel like it's a slap in the face. That's why I'm crossing my fingers here. I hope they treat this with some respect. I mean come on... It's Batman! I'm not sure they can "hurt" him again, since that's what they did in the 90's to bring in a new Batman (Jean Paul who became Azrael). I think Bruce has to either retire or die... Or go missing for a LONG time.
