I fade in and out of paying attention to Minimate news. (I know, bad fan!) But I'm all kinds of into some RGB 'mates. I hadn't heard about that until today. Do we know when they might start showing up? (Generally, of course; I'm sure they haven't said "April 15, 2011" or anything.) PS I'd absolutely buy some EGB mates, too. At least a boxed set of the main guys (and gal).

I just bought a couple of the new TRU wave Iron Man packs, and my Silver Centurion IM has a weird pink stain on the Tony face. At first I was thinking it was just mold release oil or something, but rubbing didn't take it off. I'm planning to hit him with some soap and water when I get home, but if that doesn't work, are there any alternatives? Surely I'm not the only one who's seen this stuff.

I would buy any Avatar minimates DST cared to produce. After Mattel's pitifully bad character selection, it'd be nice to see a line that would happily incorporate the entire core cast, not just the males. And much as I'm not a huge fan of the larger 'mates, it might make sense to make the core adolescent characters as 2 inchers with adults as 2.5". Not that I'd complain if they didn't do that. There were two Avatar Lego sets, though; I don't know how that might affect DST's chances for getting the license.

You weren't kidding! You guys are impressive. Also, I didn't realize the Minimate Database was searchable by parts like that. I agree that it's an amazing resource, and a large part of why I got back into Minimates; once I saw all the cool stuff Ivan has archived, I was amazed. I know collectors of other lines wish they had a resource that encyclopedic. The AA head idea was because I got a classic BSG set and was thinking of getting a second to swap Apollo and Starbuck's heads, and then I realized I could get a different head and hands and make Adama into Tigh and have a spare flight suit body to make Jolly. Muffit, sadly, would get the shaft. I guess I could paint him black and make him a Terror Dog puppy. That said, any "white guy with bushy mustache" heads come to mind for Jolly?

Is there a database anywhere that breaks down Minimates, and is thus searchable by their parts? For example, if I was looking for all the Minimates with African American heads or something. Even as I ask, I realize this would be a titanic amount of work, so I wouldn't be surprised at all to learn that nobody's been quite that obsessive, but, new as I am to minifig collecting, I thought about trying some easy-peasy parts swap customs, and was wondering if there was someplace I could search a listing like that.

Man, am I behind the times; my LCS just got mine in. I was actually kinda waffly about keeping the pack, but then I saw the edges of the trap effect and tore in. I may have to instigate cowblaster's plan and do a little trap hacking so I can have a deployed one for use with the effect. That kind of mod seems like it'd be within my limited skills.

Thanks for the welcomes, guys! From what I've seen, Minimate Multiverse looks like my kinda place. Oh, crap. My wallet curses your name. Maybe a distant cousin, like Stealth Heli. I never see those guys except when they need to borrow money.

Apparently not. At least they take up a lot less space than anything else I collect... per figure, at least.
