Yeesh. The TMNT Minimates at TRU I found today all had really bad paint apps. I bought the best looking of the four sets each. Are the LCS versions already out? I'm curious to know if the paint is better on them.

Sadly probably won't get Kraang due to neither of the soon to be closed K-Marts near me have the line.

Wow. I haven't been really in the Minimates crowd for a while as I got burnt out on all the movie based waves, but to finally see Brotherhood Minimates as well as Banshee and Forge in the outfits I wanted to complete my 90s X-Men teams... My Minimates appreciation has come back in full force.

The only thing that would make this all even better would be a 90s X-Factor reveal. ...And Power Pack.

A new Mystique and the Sentinel are really the big things that I'd like out of this set. Of course, getting a new Mystique in this themed set seems a bit odd...

I think she'd have gone better with a Brotherhood of Evil Mutants set consisting of any of the following...Blob, Pyro, Avalanche, Mastermind, or Toad.

I fully approve of this idea for Minimates.

They did. In the 1990s towards the end of the original line they had Jim Lee's TMNT.

These new TMNT look more 1990s superhero extreme than the actual 1990s TMNT ever did.

Someone really hit my nearby TRU for the Marvel Minimates recently. Used to have a lot of sets and now pretty much all the wave 18 and 17 stuff it had after I bought my copies is long gone. I have to assume it was one person that did it, too. They weren't moving for weeks and I check my local TRU once a week.

No love for Power Pack? (Zero-G, Lightspeed, Mass Master, Energizer) Heck, I don't think the kids have even gotten a figure in any toy line in the entire time they've been in the Marvel Universe.

And given almost all the other 90s X-related teams have been given most if not all their team members, why nothing for 90s X-Factor?

Actually, those new mini-playsets for TMNT Playmates will be putting out might be compatible with the Minimates, so there's that as well.

My local Toy s R Us this past Friday got in a full case of... Spider-Sense Spider-Man and First Appearance Punisher 2-packs.... WTF!?!?

I can't speak for other stores, but the Star Trek Minimates are selling very well for us. Hopefully this is a good sign and we will get new waves on a regular basis.

Hopefully indeed. I want to see complete crews of everyone outside of just the Original Series. Also would love to see the Enterprise-D, Defiant, and yes, even Voyager done like the Original Series Enterprise minimate vehicle.

Though when is the Enterprise with the Tribbles and green shirt Kirk supposed to be coming out? I'm waiting for that one unless it's cancelled.

Bravo! Did the final prints come out that smoothe, or was there a lot of sanding involved?

There was zero sanding. Some of the pieces had to be printed with support material, which leaves tiny nubs on the final product that I cut off with a hobby knife. But otherwise these items are directly out of the printer. If anyone is curious about the whole process from start to finish, check out the video here.

I already have an ice blast in the works.

Everyone seems to forget another quick custom they can do. Picard in Star Trek Generations using the Captain Sisko body from the Jem Hadar 2-pack and any Picard head and hands.

You can even recreate the scene of him talking to Kirk even in the movie using the new Kirk we got without the coat on (it's close enough anyway to what he wore).

I'd just like to see smaller bodies made mainly for child characters like the members of Power Pack and Molly Hayes from Runaways. They made smaller parts I recall for Wilykit and Wilykat for Thundercats minimates, but the lower skirt parts attached to their waists made them still be the same size as everyone else.

So hopefully we'll either start getting two crew members per pack in (again, hopefully) future waves. [ex: Data/Worf]

I think this is a great idea however I would mix the colours up a bit, i.e. Worf & Deanna, Beverly & Wesley, Riker & LaForge..... At least it would make them look more exciting.

True, true. I just was recalling in the previous Star Trek minimates that they kept things similar. Chekov and Sulu, Doctor McCoy and Nurse Chapel...

So who would Data come with? I'd love to have a Q minimate here ASAP. Otherwise, Lore maybe? Tasha Yar?

This is just me thinking, but with this (hopefully) first wave of figures giving us all the Star Trek show captains, I'm thinking as cool as it is we got Star Trek back in minimates I don't think we'll get everyone from the various crews if it goes one main character per two-pack with a villain/troop builder. (Janeway/Seven of Nine being the exception)

So hopefully we'll either start getting two crew members per pack in (again, hopefully) future waves. [ex: Data/Worf]

Either that, or maybe four-packs to help fill them out quicker would be cool...

Has there been a second wave confirmed yet or are these TRU and LCS waves a kind of testing ground to see if the line will continue?

I hope a second wave will be coming. Of course, then the speculation will have to begin hardcore as I'd assume it'd be like this first wave...

TRU: One TNG set, one DS9 set, one TOS set, and one VOY set

LCS: one TWOK set, one TNG set, one DS9 set, and one ENT set

Maybe even some 4-packs to fill out the crews quicker...

Update: I decided I'd stop by my local TRU that I called this morning asking about the new minimates on errands.

Turns out they DID have the figures. I bought one of each set and an extra of Picard and Sisko for alternate looks.

I really hope we get more Star Trek minimates to finally complete the crews from all the shows outside the Original Series.

Man... Any Minimates collectors in Minnesota on here that maybe found these yet?

I called my local TRU and they said they didn't have any in yet. I believe it as they usually don't get the new minimate figures until long after I've broke down and bought them online.
