Likewise, I'd be willing to be a back-up. Been so busy I forgot about this!
-
Oh man, I might have to do this, MMMV Secret Santa is always awesome.
-
Happy birthday ol' friend!

It seems to me Ivan would be a good guy to ask.

Heh, I've been looking for a good excuse to post something after not posting for like a year. I have my Scream minimate right above my desk and I love it dearly. I'll have to pass on this series being a poor college student and all, but man they look amazing.

That mansion (*Any resemblance to an actual mansion is purely coincidental - gold!) id wonderful, but i am absolutely in LOVE with the Large Rooftop Diorama. That is truly a thing of beauty! Amazing work, luke. I WILL be getting that rooftop!
Where did you see the pictures? I didn't see in the thread. I bet I stupided...

These never cease to crack me up! Great work!

Just a heads up to Indiana peeps, they're in stock at the Greenwood TRU. They were recently anyway.
-
Because I have at least 2 to give away, possible a 3rd, which is on hold for a friends son if he needs it. Just drop me a pm, as I'd hate for these to go to waste.
I would absolutely LOVE one.

Chicago is way closer to me than San Diego, so I personally would love this chance.

Unlikely but true:
I found a PS3 at a bus stop
Any recommendations? Pref a decent RPGish thing to tide me over till Deus Ex 3
Just sitting there?

I forget to mention something here. While your minimates are great, I really like the way you manipulated the original paintings. I think the effect is most recognizable in Munch's Scream. There's only the couple left standing on the bridge. That's really great work!
Thanks! I think the Mona Lisa is going to be very challenging in this regard.

This seems very conveniently timed...

Dammit Luke, I'm a poor college student, but I simply couldn't resist The Scream. Looking forward to that!

Other than some at TRU, I do all my MM shopping on-line. But I've considered talking to my niece down near IU to ask her to start buying any she sees in that area too...
As someone at IU, haven't really seen much down here. The one comic shop I've been to here doesn't carry much in the way of toys.

For the small bit it is worth, I would like to get some of the black of the old color scheme back. This one is too grey...
But I'm just a picky asshat

well the prototypes we saw, the gorilla, iguana, rhino, gator and octopus were not based on the minimate design at all. Though, they were very much homages of the original battle beasts, except any indication of fire/wood/water.
I think they are debating the right way to do it.
Maybe there is a debate to do smaller figures with random elements. Or larger figures that either have no elements or its set every time. Or maybe they can't do rubsigns and so on. So, they're in development hell.
The stuff I've seen, be it a minimate style or a bigger figure, I'd get either. Though I'd love it if they could incorporate the elements, rubsigns aren't necessary for that.
What gorilla, iguana, rhino, or octopus?

I've just been using low-res! Man, I feel so... fancy!
-
i feel the same i was just pointing it out. i do love MODAM and that blue headed dormamu
Dormammu is so freaking awesome. I am officially excited to get a minimate version of him.

I really don't like She-Hulk's other costumes. I wish she had the Fantastic Four outfit.
-
I've been playing on Normal with the regular controls, and finally beat my first set with Dante's ending (team was Dante, Trish, and Doctor Doom, all in red). That team...was what came of replacing throughout the "You Lose" screens.
I've been listening to all of the Voices...they nailed the perfect Deadpool. Annoying, obnoxious, and the phrases are brilliant.
Also...everyone knows there are three costumes for each character right now, right? Just checking haha. LOTS of new options for Minimates (Wesker in White would be great)
There are four actually, right bumper is one. (On 360 of course)

I totally adore that little guy Zero (?) what a winner.
He really aughta have two regular hands. If DST doesn't include another one, I'll be sorely disappointed. He's known for his sword, not the buster.
-
I will be really flippin' happy if they make a Shuma-Gorath Minimate.
-
I am sure I am the only one, but I wish they would add a sense of continuity by reusing some of the old parts from SFII. Ruy's gloves are the same, so that makes me happy.
Actually they're new parts, you can see it on the control art.
QUOTE (Donny B @ Feb 12 2011, 02:25 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>As far as I can tell, Magneto looks to be made up of the exact same parts as the very recent TRU Magneto. My personal opinion of the TRU release was that it was an amazing mate with the exception of the ridiculous amount of shine. That, for me, ruined the figure completely.
I could argue that if we're going to get rehashes of previously released characters, we could at least get new sculpts. However, we are getting a lot of new pieces with several other characters - and from a business standpoint, the more parts reuses they can work in, the better.
That being said, if this new Magneto is non-metallic, then that would be a massive plus, imo.
Again to break bad-but-seemingly-there news, the art says they're using metallic red and purple.

Man talk about nostalgia.
One of my first memories of this board was hooking Shanester up with a Mara Jade bust from Gencon. In turn, he sent me that sent along with 10 or so more minimates, really giving my collection a jump start.
It's wild to see so many familiar faces hanging around the place still, like a home that's always there.
