  1. so zach, any other accesories in the avengers set other than a gun for fury and hair for iron man

Lots are in the control art, not 100% sure what will be in the set. Iron Man might have a flight stand. Nick might have an alternate head. Tony might have a suit jacket and a gauntlet for hammer-lifting. Ultron might have Minimate hands and feet. But we'll see what makes it to the tooling stage.

so did the alternate head for fury get dropped or was it just not there

  2. okay ill be the first to ask, why is the avengers 5 pack 28 dollars, considering a 4 pack is 19, and even the clerks 5 pack is 22

Luke is usually able to get a quantity discount from retailers for SDCC packs. Not this time. So he couldn't pass the savings on to us.

no its 28 from afx, its 32 from lukes, which is even weirder since the antman set from him is the same price

  3. What is this thread even about?

simple, people being angry that a mediocre show that probably has no chance of making it past its sencond season got its own minimate line that doesnt correlate at all with any other line in recent years, rather than a great show that got an instant fan base that is guaranteed for a second season or more and goes perfectly with the mcu line simply because its hard to get a base of how well the veiwership is even though its insanely obvious how great the viewership is and how pretty much anyone who collected mcu mates in the past is angry about the massive hole in their collection

But what about the stuff with the Duck and Moon Knight?

well kostis is here, how long did you expect the thread to get without a moon knight request? and the duck is the duck so what else did you think was gonna happen

  5. The cut of the mask is all wrong. All they had to do was look at the source material. Instead they came up with an alternate Batman mask with a furrowed brow and angular horns.

But yeah, get rid of those eyebrows, change the nose, and it'd look more like this:

that doesnt really make much sense from a tactical standpoint, i mean doing that is just asking for someone to break his nose

  6. I can completely understand why these are being made. You'd have to be mad not to capitalise on the momentum of a film like AoU at an event like Comic Con.

And the timing is perfect for Ant-Man movie mates as well, with the film being released around SDCC.

So -if i understand this right, what we've seen will be the exclusives from AFX this year? DST usually has an exclusive or two of it's own which is only sold at the DST booth, correct?

Zach, are you able to reveal is this will be the case, and if so - what lines they will be from?

AFX has the Age of Ultron set, and the Alien single pack. So if you want to thank anyone for expanding on the AoU cast or making such a cool single-pack possible, thank AFX. But they seem to sell to other retailers as well, like Luke.

The Ant-Man set, TMNT set and Vinimate will be at our booth, at a variety of retailers on the floor, and at other, non-attending retailers, like AFX and Luke.

There is another set that MAY be at our booth, but I am waiting to hear more, as it will also be somewhere else exclusively.

And we will have a promo, I hope. Waiting to hear.

so zach, any other accesories in the avengers set other than a gun for fury and hair for iron man

  7. overall i like it, i never got a sam jackson fury so im probably more bias for liking it than the people who have like 4 now but i know it probably wont happen but how much is it asking for them to pack an alternate torso and trenchcoat so you can thave the end of the movie look, eh whatever ill just cobble one together , ultron prime looks okay but the biceps and turtle feet look kinda awkward, mark 45 looks good, im okay with the tampoed on look since the armor was pretty slim in the movie, liking the tony but i really hope he comes with a armor hand with the rockets and thors hammer so you can recreate the scene, and of course the stinker of the set the iron legion, and id honestly would rather save the few bucks and just make it a 4 pack, or preferably give us a reuse of the maria hill from avengers, literally her suit was exactly the same in this, and plus the original one was inexplicably a variant to the worst figure from the avengers, and i will never not be mad at that considering shes been an important character in 3 marvel movies so far, she really doesnt deserve to have her only figure being 20-30 dollars on ebay, overall ill get but if fury wasnt in here, i wouldnt

  8. agent coulson! because the thor wave one was probably one of the worst minimate likeness in my opinion plus the skintone was atrocious, and inexplicably the bill murray head actually looks alot better, in adition to the black hair on the official figure, and the weird matte black jacket, which yeah mine still has that because i had to paint the jacket but i dont think its to as bad of an extent as the official figure, so i decided the figure needed an update

  9. This premiered in the Philippines a few days ago...

The movie was...alright. A good chunk of people are indifferent to the Marvel movies, but if it means supporting the brand, I'm all to watching any cinematic universe film. It's sort of a tradition now between me my Dad and my sister. I doubt I'll be able top watch this in theaters a second time so I'll just post my thoughts right here right now:

    The GOOD:

    1. The Plot - while "The Avengers (2012)" set out to prove to audiences that they could put these characters together in one movie and do it well, "The Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)" set out to tell a good story. The movie focused a lot on character development and that is no more evident when it came to Bruce Banner/the Hulk. If your kids are the type who watch Marvel movies for the action and outright ignore the story this might not be for them. The action IS abundant but the plot won out.

    2. Hawkeye - I've always liked Hawkeye, he's the glue that keeps the group together and he's always prepared to take one for the team. He's the most down-to-earth of these guys and he genuinely helps out. Going into this movie I half expected him to lose his hearing in an attempt to save the team. When they introduced Clint's family, I felt a sense of dread for one of my favorite characters. There seemed to be a chance that it was going to be HIM that died. Luckily he pulled through. Whether he's retired from superheroing or just taking a break is beyond me though.

    3. Quicksilver's death - I enjoyed Marvel's version of Quicksilver a little more than Fox's representation of the character. While nothing will top that Quicksilver's scene from DOFP, this Quicksilver legitimately did something. Unlike the DOFP Quicksilver, who was there for fan service and was only in the movie for about fifteen minutes, A2:AoU's Quicksilver underwent character growth, died a heroic death, and redeemed himself. Really, Marvel did itself a favor with this one, they have one less character to keep track of for future movies, they have one less characters to argue with Fox over, and they gave Scarlet Witch the motivation she needed to truly become a superhero

    4. Ultron's mouth - 'nuff said.

    The BAD:

    1. Ultron - when you start to think about it, Ultron was a really lame villain in this movie and sadly, the amazing mouth animation and the outstanding voice acting cannot redeem the character. He was so easy to beat even after he got a coating of Vibranium and it was so easy to thwart his plans. Ultron had two goals: to get a new body and obtain nuclear missile launch codes. He gave up way to easily and settled on getting his robot body getting a Vibranium coating and using Sakovia as a giant meteor. Also, one of his final acts to destroy the Avengers was to fly the Quinjet and shoot them. Does he not have energy blasts? Why must he settle on the Quinjet's guns?

    2. The Vision and Mjolnir - the Vision was fine as a character but the fact that he could lift Mjolnir ruined him for me. I found that it was some cheap way to reassure the audience that the Vision was a good guy when I found that him having his moral dilemmas would be better for the character. Really he used it once in the battle with Ultron and it did nothing to change the plot.

    3. End Credits Scene - nothing we haven't seen before, other than a promise.

    4. The CGI - like UK Collector pointed out, the movie, especially it's opening sequence was a too CGI heavy.

That's all I can remember for the time being, but I might edit this when I think of some more.

    TL;DR - Ultron's mouth.

yeah theres no way in hell pietro is actually going to stay dead, along with ultron, i mean how many times has he been broken and put back together in the comics, i mean hes just an ai, plus how could you forget to mention how horribly they wasted baron von strucker
